Hannah, first time watching your channel. If I end up watching more videos of yours, I will definitely subscribe. I just bought the Secret Weapon, but I doubt that I will ever hit it as well as you do.
Great video. I’ve got one on order to replace my Taylormade mini. I ditched my 3 wood to carry a driver and a mini driver and it was a great decision. The mini is awesome on tighter par 4s and long par 5s. Not everyone gets a mini to replace their driver!!!
Great video Hannah .. enjoy the great course and weather in Spain ... I'm going to demo PXG mini driver this weekend and see how it goes ... your site is top shelf keep up the outstanding work
Followed you to here Hannah. Seems like you're still having fun. Best wishes in your new endeavors. I've been looking at the new Cleveland driver--you make this mini sound like another possibility. Have to weigh the options... the mini is more than that driver in price. Thinking you could make a driver do mini things with some swing modifications. Off the deck... hmmm... Thanks for the review... see where it leads when Spring rolls around again.
You seemed to describe my issues nicely; I struggle hitting driver and it gets me in trouble a lot, so I tee off with 3W a lot but my strong 3W doesn't have a lot of forgiveness. Having a club like this that gives more forgiveness than the typical fairway and because of the shorter shaft lets me square it up more than driver makes it an appealing option! It could replace those 2 clubs in my bag if I switched out my current 5W for a 4W to have better gapping. My only issue with this new offering is the price- here in the US, it's listed at US$449!
Hi great review can you please do a comparison PXG Mini Driver vs Taylormade BRNR mini Driver trying to pick one would be greatly appreciated thx cheers from Canada
Great video Hannah. I’ve recently been fit for the Black Ops irons and was already booked in at the London PXG centre for the Black Ops driver but now going to have a hit with this to see how it compares.
Great Video Hannah, its looks a fabulous club and loved the shots off the ground. So many great clubs out there to help improve our golf, A question from me, how often would you / we consider changing driver, irons, hybrids etc ?
The Secret Weapon looks good and looks like it goes really well, I am getting tempted to try one of these. Thanks Hannah and its cheaper than a new driver.
These mini drivers are intriguing but if your motivation to get one is that you can't hit driver, cut 1.5" off the driver, crank up the loft and change you game for a lot less $$$.
Nice video. If this club goes farther than my current 3 wood off the deck w tighter dispersion it’s going in the bag. I would like to compare against other mini drivers on or about to hit market but it appears PXG has really designed this to hit off the deck which is what I want. Plus the headcover alone is worth buying 👍🏻
I don't think they will do one as they have always done the 3 wood in 13 degrees which is pretty much the same . I game that and it's amazing off tee and I suspect it will be better off the fairway than these mini drivers
@WilliamWright-hf8ob really don't see the point when they have a 13 degree 3 wood which would do more or less the same thing and in fairness the 3 wood easier to hit off the deck
Excellent video, I'm a fan of the mini drivers, when you're not hitting driver well. Some people think take off 1.5 inches off your driver, but maybe some days you may want that extra 1.5 inches on driver. If there was only a way to grow the 1.5 inches back on your main driver. The mini driver offers you that option on days when your not hitting driver well.
wow, that mini fits you nearly perfectly. Have you ever tried a 460 driver with that length shaft? Might be an even better weapon. I don't completely understand these kinds of clubs for myself, but I do love how adjustable PXG woods have gotten with those quadrant weights and loft-lie sleeves. Thanks for the review!
I remember that tee shot Hannah and you need something forgiving. Personally I've just up'ed the loft on my Mizuno Max driver but will look to try the PXG
Excellent review - best I've seen of the new PXG Secret Weapon. Some pretty damn good results too. Did a quick Google search and as usual got an eye-opener when I saw the price LOL Keep up with the vlogs. Cheers
Hi, have written previously about your test last year with TM and Callaway Minis, but note that the size is getting larger from the initial releases 10 - 11 years ago. Having had a TM SLDR @ 14* the size of the head was 260cc, most now are getting towards and over 300cc.
Hi Hannah great review thank you. Would love to see a orka golf review please 🙏 orka will be in mygolfspy most wanted soon and I'm sure Alex at orka would welcome you just like he did with Simon from sas golf channel 👍👍
It’s a really interesting club. Would love to try this up against my normal driver which I don’t hit very far. But could I get similar performance with ordinary fairway wood or try 3 wood shaft in driver
The shaft looks like a Mitsu K carbon, same shaft I am using in my driver - and the best shaft I've had in a driver. I have the 50-R. Was it an option? Thanks for the demo, very tempting!
We've gone full circle. After years of making standard driver shafts longer and heads bigger, we've now gone back to where we were 30--years ago...shorter shafts, smaller heads higher loft. OF COURSE it will be more 'forgiving' given those specs. To justify charging $450 (when they used to be less than half that) golf companies are claiming it's TWO clubs in one! "you can also hit it off the deck!". Right. A lot of golfers struggle hitting 3 and 5Ws off the fairway...this thing that looks like a smaller driver is going to be EASIER to hit off the deck? I doubt it. PXG must be coughing up BIG money marketing this...I've now seen about a dozen internet golfers claiming this club is the greatest thing since fire... If you can't hit driver - but want to - I suggest hitting a bunch of 3Ws and determine which suits your swing and go with that one. That way you really WILL be able to tee off with it OR hit it off the deck
in my golf course my most used club is my 3 wood but its lofted more like a 4 wood so this might replace my useless hybrid i think need to try it first

Looks a great club. Is a slight drawback for the average handicap golfer maybe too much in the way of tinkering with all the possible weight/balance changes?
I just ordered a Secret Weapon but after watching this I am confused about your smash factor results. USGA limits smash factor to 1.5, anything above 1.5 would be considered non-confirming. Hopefully it's just an error in your launch monitor. Thanks for your review!
You know way way more about golf than me (24 handicap) but I’m going to risk the wrath of your fans and disagree with you. I’ve been playing a “Fiver” Full size 12 degree driver lofted up to 14 degrees with a slightly long 5 wood shaft. Head weight at the back of the club increased from 7grams to 18grams to compensate for swingweight. I have demoed this against both the Callaway and TaylorMade mini drivers and it is way way way more forgiving and longer than both. BUT to put it into context, I am way the wrong side of 70 super senior golfer so I only carry 9 clubs which allows me to carry a second (-1 inch) full size driver which admittedly hasn’t been used in months !
I'm a huge fan of TM Mini Drivers, having played four generations of them. I don't see how this PXG club is any different from a juiced-up 3-wood. As I age (and I have become OLD!), the difference betwen my custom-fitted driver and my TM Burner Mini has diminished tremendously. I'm one driver (TM Q35?) away from dumping the driver comptely in favor of the TM Mini. I do not see the advantage of this club over that one. Money is not an object with me, so I'd dump one in favor ot the other.
Only thing I don’t understand about mini drivers is why an amateur would ever use one. Might as well get a driver fitted with more loft as it would be more forgiving and as for hitting of the deck I rarely see a weekend warrior capable of hitting 3wd off the deck let and most should use 5wd. I get it for a pro who want an option of the tee that doesn’t go as far but that’s not an amateurs problem.
@ so in your opinion it’s a replacement on the bag for those that struggle with driver rather than replacing 3wd? That kinda makes sense. Shorter shaft more control. Thx

@hannahholdengolf to be honest why do people? Why don't you see if these so-called forgiving clubs actually do make a difference in the hands of a 20+ handicap golfer. James Robinson, Rick shield, the AVG guy all have done the same between the ELYite and Qi35 both basically went the same distance and both were basically the same, neither did anything special in their hands , obviously different options but they each have different swings so I say to most who cares what others say it doesn't mean you are going to hit that particular club just as good. I was fitted with Callaway paradigm and what a load of crap that was my old taylormade M2 driver beat it constantly, so I have sold that. It doesn't matter who's using the tool is the user using it simple.
