While I'm sad that Subaru will not be the main character in arc 8 I'm still very excited to see Vincent POV, if you think about it we will finally see Subaru from other characters POV and it's Vincent nevertheless Also what I understand from this is that it's not confirmed that Emilia and Subaru will end up together it's just that their relationship will be highlighted in the main story, for saying the truth them ending up together will be a beautiful ending but it's pretty predictable too, nevertheless it's the kind of ending that people wants (me included) because Subaru deserve this man And about rem, in Q&A tappei literally called himself a genius for creating rem and Wilhelm, so I don't know what her fans are drinking really 😂

Interesting how Arc 8 isn't about Subaru. So we probably gonna see Vincent making decisions and sacrificing people and then Subaru preventing it by Loops, Pikachu facing Vincent. Also, every character has their own enemies and own stories to cover especially Roswaal-Sphinx which is great.

Similarities between the Re Zero and One Punch Man animes: 1. Both are heading into season 3 2. Season 2 took a dip in animation quality. 3. Both are heading into the most Action heavy arcs of their series 4. Both season will contain major lore . 5. Both season will likely he senored and contain heavy CGI.

I wish I had as many Rem figures he has, but he deserves them. I do have 4 or 5 at least plus multiple plushies of her. But its weird people would assume he hates the character when he could've killed the character off completely and we would never have any new scenes with Rem. So I never understood why people would think that.
Arc 8 focusing on Vincent isn't an entire let down for me, because I understand theres a puporse for Tappei's choice with it, which could an itegral part for the story of Re: Zero and Subaru. I predict that arc 8 and 9 would be rediscovering the missing links to the lore, 10 and 11 would be connecting and solving those missing links, and 12 being our anticipated finale. I think I found out the meaning behind Satella's name. She's named after satellite (a celestial body orbiting a planet). In the Mimagau IF story the male version of Satella is named Luna. Which is latin for moon and the moon is earth's only satellite.

Satella = Emilia and Flugel = Subaru is highly hinted indirectly in the first few episodes of the Anime itself. It was during Subaru saying Emilia Satella in front of everyone. Basically he said something like "I'm sorry Satella for not listening to you and dying." (Check the anime for exact quote) Though this can also mean that they aren't and it just foreshadows the past events.

But i personally don't ascribe to the idea that Flugel is also Subaru, hell, people believed Hoshin was Subaru too until that one chibi story. I feel like having every mysterious character secretly be subary would just be lazy and not too interesting, It definetly makes sense that subaru was on the path of becoming Flugel because of Roswall wanting him to lose everything to be the sage, but Subaru rejected that path becoming something different. I dont ascribe to the theory that Flugel is timen travelled Subaru. Satellas obsession over subaru could be linked to Flugel, it could not be, we just don't know at this point. --- And with Emilia being Satella, id agree, there are too many correlations for it not to be true.
The Satella and Flugel theories can go anywhere so while there's no real answer maybe it has to do with reincarnation or failed timelines like many theories have said or it might be something completely different, we will have to wait and see. More anime will be amazing and it's interesting seeing Subaru get the Denji treatment in Arc 8. As far as the Emilia and Subaru relationship, predictable if they get together but maybe they'll develop it with a twist we don't expect, the sort of "happy ending" that Tappei will like. Subaru in the final cover is hype, all the development finished and ready for the conclusion. Really interesting information and exited for the future of the series.
The important point is Satella & Flugel are connected to Emila & Subaru. How exactly isnt really important for us. It just matters how Tappei wants to resolve the mystery. Thats the hardest parts with ongoing major plot points like that. Easy to fuck up or leave the audience disapointed. The most obvious answere is a lot of times the best solution. I saw a lot of authors trying to change things because fans found out only to screw themselves over & their characters. I dont trust Tappei on that. Following some of his tweets he has a twisted humor and is a little troll sometimes. I expect a bittersweet end for Subaru at the very least. I can see Emilia & Co. get a happy end at the cost/sacrifice of Subaru. Subaru becoming a "true human" once he gets all the WitchFactors is still the most omnious comment Tappei ever made + his implication that Arc 1 was insipried by the beginning & end section of Steins;Gate. Whatever Tappei is cooking i doubt its a "happy end".

Houshin in the Isekai Quartet movie acted like he knew Subaru & Emilia. Then was suprised they dont know him & then played along till the end where he wished them a safe journey & hopes they can finally get their happy end. So Tappei kinda already dropped the mystery on that one either way. Even if its not directly. (Fucking wild how much lore he dropped viva Houshin as to what happend 400 years ago. I will never understand why Tappei choose to drop insane lore bombs like that in Isekai Quartet) I guess you could assume "clones" like Echidna did are also a possibility aka she perfected her method and did it to Satella/Flugel. Considering how Od works & soul related stuff in Re:Zero i think if it isnt time travel its reincarnation. Which would then tie into them not being exactly the same person because they dont have their memories. Plus Echidna set the precedent that the major problem was she only could split it up to either powers+fragmented memories or only memories minus90% of the powers. Which makes sense for Flugel. Before the cloned/reincarnated Flugel they pulled out all the Witch Factors from him and sealed them in boxes. So his future self could regain his WF powers instead of irreversibly loseing them. For Satella what ever happend to her they could or had to seal her body & seperate her soul. Thus her being a sort of spirit hiding inside Subaru/Flugels Od-Soul in the form of Shadow Garden. Like 50 % of Re:Zeros mystery regarding Satella, Flugel & Subarua, Emilia is already solved. Its just the "why did they do these things" that needs to be explained.
TBF I imagine Tappei either gets a discount on Re:Zero figures or has been given some for free. Figures aren't cheap. Well at least here in the states. As a Rem Neutral, I have 3 figures of her. I have 11 figures of Ram though.
I have 10 Rem figures. One is a figma of her from arc 2 and one of the chibi gacha figures of her playing with cats. Also not really surprised that he has Rem figures but more so that he has a hundred. Hopefully he has some Ram figures for the accommodating sets she has with Rem.
Personally i think that ReZero is an endless loop but every loop a character has a different name, like flugel is the previous version of subaru and satella is the past version of emilia, so what i think will happen is that in the ending subaru will seal the witch in a vessel, that vessel being emilia, just like in the previous loop flugel sealed the witch in satella

Both Subaru and Vincent will main characters in arc 8. Subaru has vital information about sphinx including a possible weakness and her zombies therefore Vincent will need his help.
Flugel can be anyone but we know Flugel was from our world as were some others in the RZ world history. The RZ world might end up being a mix of people or souls from other worlds. It could be a hidden space within our world or hidden space in another world or another world entirely... There is never enough information to know, but plenty of information to speculate on. I guess that is why people like us RZ fans keep talking about it. We just don't know?
Loved it this is the masterpiece of our time and peak fiction can’t wait for future arcs and if arc is going to like 40 chapter I am sure we will have an additional arc or a really big one. As I can remember, Tappei once said that his favourite chapter would be in arc 7. Considering that and also the fact that Arc 7 is finished and isn't very impressive actually (with exception for several chapters), I wonder - what chapter could be the Tappei's most favourite? Any ideas?
technically, arc 7 is finished, but since Tappei didn't expect it to go as far at 100+ chapters, the other part of arc 7 became arc 8. The point is, his favorite chapter might be on arc 8
Thinking arc 8 is that different for focusing on someone else is missing the point in my opinion. We have so much side content, and the end of every arc focuses on so many other points of view, because Subaru is NOT simply the centre of this world even as a protagonist. That goes with being the support type. It goes with how Rem's path and character development right now is moving away from centring on admiring him, how Emilia right now is pursuing her goals more than like falling in love with him, etc. I just don't think Tappei wants characters to all revolve around him(or even ANY other character, like how the Shudraqians can't be reduced to just followers of Vincent for example). The name is just like that because it's a short arc lol, considering different arcs are devoted to Anastasia or Felt's camps for instance shows that many of them aren't about Subaru exactly but actually have a focus on different characters we haven't seen much of yet. I'd say the main way this makes the Vincent Vollachia arc interesting is if it suggests Vincent might also have an important role in the endpoint of the story along with the camps. Arcs 7-8 were described as the Priscilla camp arc but although we got that, maybe the name suggests Vincent and relations with Vollachia will affect the Royal selection plot too. I expect that won't be the case for other characters in Gusteko or Kararagi if the story goes there though. Though it would be good if their relationship with Lugunica is developed.

I'm pretty sure season 4 and 5 will happen any way, but season 4 is able to happen while season 5 will after awhile after arc 8. And I really hope they don't cut Subaru deaths for arc 6 and so on. There isn't really reason to. Season 3 should get a proper trailer later the year, releasing mid - late 2024 or early 2025 and season 4 2026 or 2027, or 2028 but doubt it.
Wait so arc 6 is confirmed to be in season 3? That's kinda concerning tbh cause we're either getting a 25 episodes with major cuts, or if the rumours are true, a 35 episodes but with questionable animation quality, cause funding a 35 episode-anime in one go won't be cheap
Here is a (probably unpopular) theory re Flugel: Flugel is Subaru's father, even if the author might've said the opposite not to spoil the future arcs. It's a plot a little like Final Fantasy X where the father is for a particular reason unable to kill the "main boss" and therefore decides to entrust the mission to the son. The reason in case of Re:Zero might be that Satella can only be killed by the one she loves. After an unsuccessfull fight with Satella and setting up the parallel world order "favourably", maybe even on Satella's advice (tower, tree, witch cult, etc), he was transported back to his original world with an agreement that his son will return to finish the unfinished business. Kanji of Subaru's father's name is 賢一 (Kenichi) and kanji for "sage" is 賢人 (Kenjin). Both 一 and 人 can also be pronounced as "hito", therefore an easy hint. Also in Arc 5/6 it's obvious how much Subaru knows about stars that are directly related to unlocking the misteries of the parallel world. Way more than an average teenager would - he most likely was specifically taught what he needed to know by his father to enable him to solve the trials in the future. Subaru also the same is Pleiades in Japanese culture. Hence "Pleiades" watchtower is Subaru's watchtower, even this is a pretty obvious hint.
Satella loves Subaru romantically tho... why would she love him like that just because he's Flugel's son? IMO we just have to accept the most obvious theory that Emilia is Satella and Flugel is Subaru which isn't all that bad like most people think.
This would be hard to believe since Tappei has once stated in an interview that both of Subaru's parents are mourning over him being lost on earth. So because of that, it would mean Flugel was returned back to earth. And I find it a bit weird how he wouldn't have thoroughly explained to Subaru what he had to do. Assuming he kept his memories. This theory feels pretty contrived and tangled, but I do think Kenichi's character or presence will play a relevant role later on in the story. It's indeed suspicious that Subaru is well read on the names of many celestial bodies

@@marche3273 as for Emilia, she might not be directly related to Satella, however she was purposely made to be a perfect vessel for Witch of Envy to possess, was kept strictly away from the world and made to be hated by everyone in the world except for a specific person she supposed to fell in love with. So essentially her role is to turn into a Witch after falling in love (mutually) and be killed by the one she loves as it's the only vulnerability the witch has.
Tapei saying he doesn't want the majority opinion to be the most popular could just be misdirection. Regardless Emilia and Satella will end up being the same person. Subaru not being the main character of arc 8 seems silly to me. He was barely the main character of ar 7 and now arc 8 is going to continue that trend. although I imagine this will be a shorter arc. Season 4 will likely adapt both arc 7 and arc 8. It takes 3-4 years to get a new season and about 3 years to finish writting an arc so going by that time frame Tapei should be on arc 9 by the time season 4 airs. As for Subaru and Emilia, that's pretty obvious. Everyone with a brain can see where that is going. My personal guess on the ending hasn't changed. Satella and Emilia merge, marry Subaru, have kids the end. Pretty basic happy ending stuff.

Imo we have seen enough "evidence" from Emilia's past that she cant be Sattela, my theory that she could actually be an artificial key or something but not Sattela, and my thought is the same as yours about Subaru=Flugel, that Tappei trying to force too hard the idea that they are the same so they couldn't be. Usually he hides information he want to reveal, (if it makes any sense to you) but in this case he serves it in silver plate for all of us to eat that yea, they are the same person so they can't be. Or does he do it purpousfully so we would think this way? I don't think so.
Lol😂...I always felt like he put Rem to sleep, cause the way he had to show the growth of Subaru and Emelia. If he kept Rem going through the story the full time too many people would focus on her rather than the main heroine and with the way he wrote Emelia a LOT of growth was and is needed. Aside from that, an author writing her character out as fleshed out as he made her, needed to focus on other characters. Basically he enjoyed writing her character too much.

Am I the only one disliking arc7/8? Feels like it's too separated from the main story, would be fine if they were smaller arcs like first 3, but arc 7 is the second longest, after the 4th. If arc 8 is of similar length that would literally be 2 anime season without the main cast, unless they appear in arc 8
I think it's possible that Subaru could end up up marrying BOTH Emilia and Rem. I hear that in the LN Rem said that if Emilia was okay with it, Rem would be Subaru's second wife. So, it is possible for that to happen and seeing how Tappei likes Rem that much, I think that could be possible.
I dont get how they can jam both arcs into a season like that when theyre longer and have so much more heavy stuff going on... I'd have season 3 do a bunch of these side stories fit in around arc 5 and Maybe the beginning of arc 6's sand adventure leading up to accessing the mansion and maybe ending the season at gaining access or just having shaula give all the "Master!" monologues... cause thats a fun place to end a season so arc 6 can fit more of the heavier stuff and not cut out all the important bits and so on like I imagine squeezing arcs 5 and 6 into one season of anime removes ALL the inner monologues being actually gone into and probably a Bunch of Plot stuff or things not okay for japanese television maybe? I dunno... Gives me REAL CONCERNED Vibes hearing 2 long arcs being fit into one season... even if Im okay with arc 5 fitting to a whole season if you condense things a little and add in EX stories and beginning of arc 6 so that arc 6 isnt shortened and you can add short ex stuff to it as well to flesh out all the new characters cause the side stories become more important as the arcs get longer... so fitting the extra material that NEEDS to be read into the anime in appropriate places or having pieces of the extra stories added in as flashback arcs around important moments I think Could work quite nicely... cause I dont think 2 arcs per season works unless the arcs are at least 1.5 length or double the number of episodes... Maybe doing the 4 cours approach like the adaptation of Thousance Year Blood War so that more stuff can be added and focusing on 1 arc and some extra material from side stories is a better way of not having the anime pacing feel awful or that its starting to lack the depth of the stuff going on in story to sit in... cause some stuff isnt as easily communicated when condensed to... ...Good god can I not comprehend the Idea of Arc 6 in 12 or Even 24 episodes without everything feeling like all the most important moments happening with NONE of the turmoil or deeper psychological traumas being explored at all... Its just Messy trying to fit it all into one season if the season is the length of a normal season of the series... cause SO MUCH will be lost from Speedrunning only the most important moments from both arcs or whatever... But then there should be a secondary show of just what if and EX and other side stories... but that material really would feel better worked into the times they were released relative to when the material should be known relative to the main story arcs' narratives... Its not just me that things Arc 6 alone could be More than a season if they really want to go into the level of depth that the material goes into and actually communicate the psychological experience of the story... But I guess if the goal is to do 5&6 and 7&8 together with the way he's setting arc 8 around vincent isntead of just making the arc Longer (like it feels would make more sense, in My opinion...) I mean stuff feels strange now... I really hope they do One Arc and some extra materials fit in instead of Speeding throguh the arcs without all the pacing and narrative that make it all make sense... I almost feel like arc 6 is a season and a half if you're doing 24 episodes or whatever like I think they normally do 2 12 or so episodes with one or 2 being an hour long... As the books get longer the side stories made more essential i figured the one arc per season switch would fix things up unless theres a second shop on between the seasons.... but if he spread it out they could nearly get it to a point of having it constantly on but less messy than adaptations of shonen manga usually go...but its usually YEARS between seasons.. which does kinda suck if theyre gonna condense it all to just the most dramatic and exciting moments for television which then just makes everyone seem More Mentally Ill without as good of a pace to make any of it feel reasonable or Relatable to those who've read it... It'd just feel like cheap ísèkaî shenanigans probably but where all the characters are SUPER Mentally ill and none of the reveals of characters Hit right or impact the person getting the story without all the experiences that its dependant upon, like the isssue with missing side stories and thusly lacking investment in characters or reasons any of whats going on should make sense or feel exciting... it has risk of making THE MOST Dramatic Material Fall COMPLETELY Flat when its all the most dramatic stuff getting solved Way too fast... ...and letting the Seasons shift where they end relative to the arcs' stories could be an interesting way of fitting the story into better anime seasons... Imagine Arc 6's season starting At the beginning of entering the tower trials and then ending the season after all the dramatic stuff's happened and all the library shenanigans and some EX stories relative to 6 and then ending with Rem attacking Subaru again with the reveals of her being eaten by Louis so that she sometimes phases into wierd stuff from subaru not remembering how he's taken her witch factor which is why he can now somewhat control when she has it and doesnt have it at his will... But I mean ending on the realisation that the next season we're in a new place and maybe something like the Side Story of all the Swordsmen off to meet vincent and etc. and all that happens in the few stories that go on there.. maybe one at end of arc 6 and one at start of arc 7's seasons? Idunno but maybe fitting arc 7 and 8 to one season could work if they are making the seasons twice as long to fit how much More Material is in the arcs... cause if they REALLY Wanna fit arc 5 and 6 to one season and have the side stories we need 2 shows with some overlap of when the side story shows are on and the beginning and ends of seasons but its less irritating if its all in One watchthrough timeline if itd have episodes of 2 seperate shows connecting so that you watch certain episodes between watching each season.... Which is why I think going to one arc with side stories makes more sense and arc 5 you fit more side stories and beginning of arc 6 so that stuff feels dramatic and... like a dramatic anime I guess? I mean shifting into ending in a good spot partly into the next arc offers fun spots to start and end or add in side story content if focusing around one season per arc... and connecting the arcs together better in the anime better and the side story materials WHICH I think is One of THE BIGGEST FLAWS in Re Zero right now... If you arent Reading the stuff as it comes out with knowledge on which side stories you also need to read then it can really mess up a lot of the experience... but making it feel less Seasonal with everything compacted down when the story grows larger and cant accomodate such a masssive squeezing of the narrative... I just Cant see them getting the tone of the stronger moemtns to feel Believable without LOADS of Subaru and side characters having long inner monologues and personal inner flashbacks and heavy thoughts of what they fear others wiill think of them like hallucinations of negative reactions to their changed behaviours, etc. These such deep character arcs in Arc 6 which is why I feel ending Season 3 when the Meet Shàūlâ is probably one of the best ways to keep that flow whilst adding more to each season from the side story materials which could be put in similarly to how the constantly on animes do with filler content... That way its not the years of waiting for highspeed runthrough wiki summary quality handlings of the most psychologically heavy and compelling story arcs and character narratives and conflicts which wil just be a character having a certain face and a grunt and Maybe hearing 2 lines of inner dialogue instead of 5 minutes of deep thought and so on with flashbacks... There are SERIOUS Pacing isses to this 2 Arcs Per Season Formula when the Arcs are That Much Longer and with that much more really going on with slow buildups of stuff that you wonder about as it goes through it all.... and then fitting in the side story stuff... its Doable and Improves the Anime if we get that stuff added and some of the Seasons to end in different places than where the Arc Normally would end... which is why I think just the Beginnign of arc 6 and some side stories would be perfect for making season 4 be a better handling of an improved arc 6 with the side stories on all the characters added so that each side character's character arc isnt kinda just subtley elduded to as all the deeper development is skipped over... Like trying to fit a Long Novel Trilogy into One 2 Hour Movie or something and being surprised when people get disappointed by everthing besides production of a number of dramatic scenes... I've been saying some of this stuff FOR YEARS Now as I've awaited Arc 6 being animated and Im not even the biggest fan of arc 5 without some side stories making it better But thats what allows for solving all the problems Im sure Tàppéī Knows are there in the story flow... if they can squeeze 2 arcs then why not try just reframing some of the arcs into Better Seasons that better comprise Arcs to the way the seasons go without making the seasons get bad when they start trying to condense More Material into seasons of the same length? Maybe making the Seasons 3 or 4 times longer to add the side stories could fit a means of fitting both arcs to one season with the side stories but man would those be some LONG Seasons... I would LOVE that actually... hehehe Anyone else think these arcs CANT Fit into the length of last season without functionally ruining the material? Can't just be me, right?

Which gives space for Side Stories instead of badly written fillers.... though its not a shonen so... I guess bad fillers havent been the issue... : D Or am I wrong on any of whatever Ive said this time? haha Hopefully I didnt actually say some exact Regulus lines cause I know I've said one or two things he says in some translations in some longer comment one time and got all the "bruh theyre secretly Regulus" stuff... Yorna is also suspicious of Subaru so does Vincent, but Vincent is the one who voices out his opinion the most, his the second person who questions Subaru identity after Anastasia and scarf Dona

Satella = Emilia and Flugel = Subaru is highly hinted indirectly in the first few episodes of the Anime itself. It was during Subaru saying Emilia Satella in front of everyone.
Basically he said something like "I'm sorry Satella for not listening to you and dying." (Check the anime for exact quote)
Though this can also mean that they aren't and it just foreshadows the past events.

And with Emilia being Satella, id agree, there are too many correlations for it not to be true.
The Satella and Flugel theories can go anywhere so while there's no real answer maybe it has to do with reincarnation or failed timelines like many theories have said or it might be something completely different, we will have to wait and see. More anime will be amazing and it's interesting seeing Subaru get the Denji treatment in Arc 8. As far as the Emilia and Subaru relationship, predictable if they get together but maybe they'll develop it with a twist we don't expect, the sort of "happy ending" that Tappei will like. Subaru in the final cover is hype, all the development finished and ready for the conclusion. Really interesting information and exited for the future of the series.
The important point is Satella & Flugel are connected to Emila & Subaru. How exactly isnt really important for us. It just matters how Tappei wants to resolve the mystery.
Thats the hardest parts with ongoing major plot points like that. Easy to fuck up or leave the audience disapointed. The most obvious answere is a lot of times the best solution. I saw a lot of authors trying to change things because fans found out only to screw themselves over & their characters.
I dont trust Tappei on that. Following some of his tweets he has a twisted humor and is a little troll sometimes.
I expect a bittersweet end for Subaru at the very least. I can see Emilia & Co. get a happy end at the cost/sacrifice of Subaru. Subaru becoming a "true human" once he gets all the WitchFactors is still the most omnious comment Tappei ever made + his implication that Arc 1 was insipried by the beginning & end section of Steins;Gate.
Whatever Tappei is cooking i doubt its a "happy end".

So Tappei kinda already dropped the mystery on that one either way. Even if its not directly. (Fucking wild how much lore he dropped viva Houshin as to what happend 400 years ago. I guess you could assume "clones" like Echidna did are also a possibility aka she perfected her method and did it to Satella/Flugel.
Considering how Od works & soul related stuff in Re:Zero i think if it isnt time travel its reincarnation. Which would then tie into them not being exactly the same person because they dont have their memories.
Plus Echidna set the precedent that the major problem was she only could split it up to either powers+fragmented memories or only memories minus90% of the powers.
Which makes sense for Flugel. Before the cloned/reincarnated Flugel they pulled out all the Witch Factors from him and sealed them in boxes. So his future self could regain his WF powers instead of irreversibly loseing them.
For Satella what ever happend to her they could or had to seal her body & seperate her soul. Thus her being a sort of spirit hiding inside Subaru/Flugels Od-Soul in the form of Shadow Garden.
Like 50 % of Re:Zeros mystery regarding Satella, Flugel & Subarua, Emilia is already solved. Its just the "why did they do these things" that needs to be explained.

Both Subaru and Vincent will main characters in arc 8. Subaru has vital information about sphinx including a possible weakness and her zombies therefore Vincent will need his help.
Flugel can be anyone but we know Flugel was from our world as were some others in the RZ world history. The RZ world might end up being a mix of people or souls from other worlds. It could be a hidden space within our world or hidden space in another world or another world entirely... There is never enough information to know, but plenty of information to speculate on. I guess that is why people like us RZ fans keep talking about it. We just don't know?

As I can remember, Tappei once said that his favourite chapter would be in arc 7. Considering that and also the fact that Arc 7 is finished and isn't very impressive actually (with exception for several chapters), I wonder - what chapter could be the Tappei's most favourite? Any ideas?
technically, arc 7 is finished, but since Tappei didn't expect it to go as far at 100+ chapters, the other part of arc 7 became arc 8. The point is, his favorite chapter might be on arc 8
Thinking arc 8 is that different for focusing on someone else is missing the point in my opinion. We have so much side content, and the end of every arc focuses on so many other points of view, because Subaru is NOT simply the centre of this world even as a protagonist. That goes with being the support type. It goes with how Rem's path and character development right now is moving away from centring on admiring him, how Emilia right now is pursuing her goals more than like falling in love with him, etc. I just don't think Tappei wants characters to all revolve around him(or even ANY other character, like how the Shudraqians can't be reduced to just followers of Vincent for example).
The name is just like that because it's a short arc lol, considering different arcs are devoted to Anastasia or Felt's camps for instance shows that many of them aren't about Subaru exactly but actually have a focus on different characters we haven't seen much of yet.
I'd say the main way this makes the Vincent Vollachia arc interesting is if it suggests Vincent might also have an important role in the endpoint of the story along with the camps. Arcs 7-8 were described as the Priscilla camp arc but although we got that, maybe the name suggests Vincent and relations with Vollachia will affect the Royal selection plot too.
I expect that won't be the case for other characters in Gusteko or Kararagi if the story goes there though. Though it would be good if their relationship with Lugunica is developed.
I hope we get other figurines of other characters, kinda tired of there only being female figurines😅 like we need a best boy Otto figure, or Reinhard, Julius, a Ricardo figure would be so cool, shit my fav Garfiel needs his own

I'm pretty sure season 4 and 5 will happen any way, but season 4 is able to happen while season 5 will after awhile after arc 8. And I really hope they don't cut Subaru deaths for arc 6 and so on. There isn't really reason to.
Season 3 should get a proper trailer later the year, releasing mid - late 2024 or early 2025 and season 4 2026 or 2027, or 2028 but doubt it.
Wait so arc 6 is confirmed to be in season 3? That's kinda concerning tbh cause we're either getting a 25 episodes with major cuts, or if the rumours are true, a 35 episodes but with questionable animation quality, cause funding a 35 episode-anime in one go won't be cheap

Here is a (probably unpopular) theory re Flugel:
Flugel is Subaru's father, even if the author might've said the opposite not to spoil the future arcs.
It's a plot a little like Final Fantasy X where the father is for a particular reason unable to kill the "main boss" and therefore decides to entrust the mission to the son. The reason in case of Re:Zero might be that Satella can only be killed by the one she loves.
After an unsuccessfull fight with Satella and setting up the parallel world order "favourably", maybe even on Satella's advice (tower, tree, witch cult, etc), he was transported back to his original world with an agreement that his son will return to finish the unfinished business.
Kanji of Subaru's father's name is 賢一 (Kenichi) and kanji for "sage" is 賢人 (Kenjin). Both 一 and 人 can also be pronounced as "hito", therefore an easy hint.
Also in Arc 5/6 it's obvious how much Subaru knows about stars that are directly related to unlocking the misteries of the parallel world. Way more than an average teenager would - he most likely was specifically taught what he needed to know by his father to enable him to solve the trials in the future. Subaru also the same is Pleiades in Japanese culture. Hence "Pleiades" watchtower is Subaru's watchtower, even this is a pretty obvious hint.
Satella loves Subaru romantically tho... why would she love him like that just because he's Flugel's son?
IMO we just have to accept the most obvious theory that Emilia is Satella and Flugel is Subaru which isn't all that bad like most people think.
This would be hard to believe since Tappei has once stated in an interview that both of Subaru's parents are mourning over him being lost on earth. So because of that, it would mean Flugel was returned back to earth. And I find it a bit weird how he wouldn't have thoroughly explained to Subaru what he had to do. Assuming he kept his memories. This theory feels pretty contrived and tangled, but I do think Kenichi's character or presence will play a relevant role later on in the story. It's indeed suspicious that Subaru is well read on the names of many celestial bodies

@@marche3273 that might be the case, the fact why she does is because she knows the future of the world and has known for 400 years that she is going to love the specific person which is Subaru, however Flugel was also a key part of the story needed to set up the world order in a particular manner and make Subaru appear later.
@@marche3273 as for Emilia, she might not be directly related to Satella, however she was purposely made to be a perfect vessel for Witch of Envy to possess, was kept strictly away from the world and made to be hated by everyone in the world except for a specific person she supposed to fell in love with. So essentially her role is to turn into a Witch after falling in love (mutually) and be killed by the one she loves as it's the only vulnerability the witch has.
2 Rem figures and planning for more
Tapei saying he doesn't want the majority opinion to be the most popular could just be misdirection. Regardless Emilia and Satella will end up being the same person. Subaru not being the main character of arc 8 seems silly to me. He was barely the main character of ar 7 and now arc 8 is going to continue that trend. although I imagine this will be a shorter arc. Season 4 will likely adapt both arc 7 and arc 8. It takes 3-4 years to get a new season and about 3 years to finish writting an arc so going by that time frame Tapei should be on arc 9 by the time season 4 airs. As for Subaru and Emilia, that's pretty obvious. Everyone with a brain can see where that is going. My personal guess on the ending hasn't changed. Satella and Emilia merge, marry Subaru, have kids the end. Pretty basic happy ending stuff.
Imagine Subaru just gets transported back to his world and he meets a girl named "Emilia"

Well, that's a letdown. I mean, arc 8 focusing Vincent, if that means we wont see Subaru going through loops. Since Tappei is not very good at writing global politics or military drama, I'm not sure this is going to be any better than the second half of Arc 7.

Imo we have seen enough "evidence" from Emilia's past that she cant be Sattela, my theory that she could actually be an artificial key or something but not Sattela, and my thought is the same as yours about Subaru=Flugel, that Tappei trying to force too hard the idea that they are the same so they couldn't be. Usually he hides information he want to reveal, (if it makes any sense to you) but in this case he serves it in silver plate for all of us to eat that yea, they are the same person so they can't be. Or does he do it purpousfully so we would think this way? I don't think so.

Lol😂...I always felt like he put Rem to sleep, cause the way he had to show the growth of Subaru and Emelia.
If he kept Rem going through the story the full time too many people would focus on her rather than the main heroine and with the way he wrote Emelia a LOT of growth was and is needed.
Aside from that, an author writing her character out as fleshed out as he made her, needed to focus on other characters. Basically he enjoyed writing her character too much.

Am I the only one disliking arc7/8? Feels like it's too separated from the main story, would be fine if they were smaller arcs like first 3, but arc 7 is the second longest, after the 4th. If arc 8 is of similar length that would literally be 2 anime season without the main cast, unless they appear in arc 8

I think it's possible that Subaru could end up up marrying BOTH Emilia and Rem. I hear that in the LN Rem said that if Emilia was okay with it, Rem would be Subaru's second wife. So, it is possible for that to happen and seeing how Tappei likes Rem that much, I think that could be possible.

I dont get how they can jam both arcs into a season like that when theyre longer and have so much more heavy stuff going on...
I'd have season 3 do a bunch of these side stories fit in around arc 5 and Maybe the beginning of arc 6's sand adventure leading up to accessing the mansion and maybe ending the season at gaining access or just having shaula give all the "Master!" monologues... cause thats a fun place to end a season so arc 6 can fit more of the heavier stuff and not cut out all the important bits and so on like I imagine squeezing arcs 5 and 6 into one season of anime removes ALL the inner monologues being actually gone into and probably a Bunch of Plot stuff or things not okay for japanese television maybe? I dunno...
Gives me REAL CONCERNED Vibes hearing 2 long arcs being fit into one season... even if Im okay with arc 5 fitting to a whole season if you condense things a little and add in EX stories and beginning of arc 6 so that arc 6 isnt shortened and you can add short ex stuff to it as well to flesh out all the new characters cause the side stories become more important as the arcs get longer... so fitting the extra material that NEEDS to be read into the anime in appropriate places or having pieces of the extra stories added in as flashback arcs around important moments I think Could work quite nicely... cause I dont think 2 arcs per season works unless the arcs are at least 1.5 length or double the number of episodes... Maybe doing the 4 cours approach like the adaptation of Thousance Year Blood War so that more stuff can be added and focusing on 1 arc and some extra material from side stories is a better way of not having the anime pacing feel awful or that its starting to lack the depth of the stuff going on in story to sit in... cause some stuff isnt as easily communicated when condensed to...
...Good god can I not comprehend the Idea of Arc 6 in 12 or Even 24 episodes without everything feeling like all the most important moments happening with NONE of the turmoil or deeper psychological traumas being explored at all... Its just Messy trying to fit it all into one season if the season is the length of a normal season of the series... cause SO MUCH will be lost from Speedrunning only the most important moments from both arcs or whatever... But then there should be a secondary show of just what if and EX and other side stories... but that material really would feel better worked into the times they were released relative to when the material should be known relative to the main story arcs' narratives...
Its not just me that things Arc 6 alone could be More than a season if they really want to go into the level of depth that the material goes into and actually communicate the psychological experience of the story...
But I guess if the goal is to do 5&6 and 7&8 together with the way he's setting arc 8 around vincent isntead of just making the arc Longer (like it feels would make more sense, in My opinion...)

I really hope they do One Arc and some extra materials fit in instead of Speeding throguh the arcs without all the pacing and narrative that make it all make sense... I almost feel like arc 6 is a season and a half if you're doing 24 episodes or whatever like I think they normally do 2 12 or so episodes with one or 2 being an hour long...
As the books get longer the side stories made more essential i figured the one arc per season switch would fix things up unless theres a second shop on between the seasons.... but if he spread it out they could nearly get it to a point of having it constantly on but less messy than adaptations of shonen manga usually go...but its usually YEARS between seasons.. which does kinda suck if theyre gonna condense it all to just the most dramatic and exciting moments for television which then just makes everyone seem More Mentally Ill without as good of a pace to make any of it feel reasonable or Relatable to those who've read it... It'd just feel like cheap ísèkaî shenanigans probably but where all the characters are SUPER Mentally ill and none of the reveals of characters Hit right or impact the person getting the story without all the experiences that its dependant upon, like the isssue with missing side stories and thusly lacking investment in characters or reasons any of whats going on should make sense or feel exciting... it has risk of making THE MOST Dramatic Material Fall COMPLETELY Flat when its all the most dramatic stuff getting solved Way too fast...
...and letting the Seasons shift where they end relative to the arcs' stories could be an interesting way of fitting the story into better anime seasons...
Imagine Arc 6's season starting At the beginning of entering the tower trials and then ending the season after all the dramatic stuff's happened and all the library shenanigans and some EX stories relative to 6 and then ending with Rem attacking Subaru again with the reveals of her being eaten by Louis so that she sometimes phases into wierd stuff from subaru not remembering how he's taken her witch factor which is why he can now somewhat control when she has it and doesnt have it at his will... But I mean ending on the realisation that the next season we're in a new place and maybe something like the Side Story of all the Swordsmen off to meet vincent and etc. and all that happens in the few stories that go on there.. maybe one at end of arc 6 and one at start of arc 7's seasons? Idunno but maybe fitting arc 7 and 8 to one season could work if they are making the seasons twice as long to fit how much More Material is in the arcs... cause if they REALLY Wanna fit arc 5 and 6 to one season and have the side stories we need 2 shows with some overlap of when the side story shows are on and the beginning and ends of seasons but its less irritating if its all in One watchthrough timeline if itd have episodes of 2 seperate shows connecting so that you watch certain episodes between watching each season....
Which is why I think going to one arc with side stories makes more sense and arc 5 you fit more side stories and beginning of arc 6 so that stuff feels dramatic and... like a dramatic anime I guess?
I mean shifting into ending in a good spot partly into the next arc offers fun spots to start and end or add in side story content if focusing around one season per arc... and connecting the arcs together better in the anime better and the side story materials WHICH I think is One of THE BIGGEST FLAWS in Re Zero right now... If you arent Reading the stuff as it comes out with knowledge on which side stories you also need to read then it can really mess up a lot of the experience... but making it feel less Seasonal with everything compacted down when the story grows larger and cant accomodate such a masssive squeezing of the narrative...
I just Cant see them getting the tone of the stronger moemtns to feel Believable without LOADS of Subaru and side characters having long inner monologues and personal inner flashbacks and heavy thoughts of what they fear others wiill think of them like hallucinations of negative reactions to their changed behaviours, etc.
These such deep character arcs in Arc 6 which is why I feel ending Season 3 when the Meet Shàūlâ is probably one of the best ways to keep that flow whilst adding more to each season from the side story materials which could be put in similarly to how the constantly on animes do with filler content...
That way its not the years of waiting for highspeed runthrough wiki summary quality handlings of the most psychologically heavy and compelling story arcs and character narratives and conflicts which wil just be a character having a certain face and a grunt and Maybe hearing 2 lines of inner dialogue instead of 5 minutes of deep thought and so on with flashbacks...
There are SERIOUS Pacing isses to this 2 Arcs Per Season Formula when the Arcs are That Much Longer and with that much more really going on with slow buildups of stuff that you wonder about as it goes through it all.... and then fitting in the side story stuff... its Doable and Improves the Anime if we get that stuff added and some of the Seasons to end in different places than where the Arc Normally would end... which is why I think just the Beginnign of arc 6 and some side stories would be perfect for making season 4 be a better handling of an improved arc 6 with the side stories on all the characters added so that each side character's character arc isnt kinda just subtley elduded to as all the deeper development is skipped over...
Like trying to fit a Long Novel Trilogy into One 2 Hour Movie or something and being surprised when people get disappointed by everthing besides production of a number of dramatic scenes...
I've been saying some of this stuff FOR YEARS Now as I've awaited Arc 6 being animated and Im not even the biggest fan of arc 5 without some side stories making it better But thats what allows for solving all the problems Im sure Tàppéī Knows are there in the story flow... if they can squeeze 2 arcs then why not try just reframing some of the arcs into Better Seasons that better comprise Arcs to the way the seasons go without making the seasons get bad when they start trying to condense More Material into seasons of the same length?
Maybe making the Seasons 3 or 4 times longer to add the side stories could fit a means of fitting both arcs to one season with the side stories but man would those be some LONG Seasons... I would LOVE that actually... hehehe

I know I took a break when I hear Tappei was taking a break or something around the time Subaru got out of the Prison that Al was chilling in however long ago... hard to rememebr the timeline of events relative to when we learn things and how far back each flashback is... though sometimes being unclear on when things happen can be used cleverly... hmm
