- This we're back in Atlantic City at the Hard Rock Casino. I'm playing during the band breaks at the Lobby Bar which is right in front of the event space and this night was a Kelly Clarkson concert! I had a lot of fun. I defintely ran through alot of my weddingish crates but I'm okay with being cheesy every now and then.

Don’t be so hard on yourself. You actually did an amazing job from what I seen. You said you’re not as good of an open format DJ as you thought you were. I beg to differ, because me watching your set made me say that I might not be as good as an open format DJ as I thought I was 😂😂. I not only need to download some more songs, but need to reorganize my crates a little bit. Once again, great series 💯💯
I think you did great! The crazy girls with the drinks so close to the DJ booth... and when the drunk girls say "It's Mommy's night out, play something more ratchet"... Why didn't she say that to the band... ugh... haha... Sometimes no matter what you play... you are going to get that one drunk girl that is going to say.... "Play something good... Something we can dance too"

Man I really appreciate this one. Its crazy to see how when as a DJ you notice your mess-up but nobody really notices. That look you gave the camera when you missed that one transition was priceless. I think you did great considering the different types of crowds. This was no doubt a great vlog though. Best series on RUclips!

🎰 You did a lot of great energy songs and sing-alongs. Finding the intros that fit the acapella outs such as enhancing and don't take away from the previous song like its a minor thing but in the mind feels like something doesn't sound right. You did great an very professional and you had enthusiasm.
Listen man, hell of a job. As everyone else in the comments are saying, them mistakes will happen but you recover like a pro. To be honest, anybody that doesn't dj for the most part never hear our mess ups like we do lol. Keep going man, you give me motivation and I'm nowhere near your level!🤝🏾💯

Great job with the song selection!!! When you hit em with Dazz Band in your 1st set, I knew you were headed for a special night. Just a word of advice, for old heads, try to play 1st verse, 1st chorus, 2nd verse, and then transition on that second chorus. We like hearing the song. Great job bro!!

You did awesome! I liked that you show case the transitions which is what most of us dj’s are looking for. One thing I did notice is that on some transitions the energy would go from high to low. By stemming out a high energy beat in to a not so high energy. I don’t think is about genre but about energy and riding through it. I’m no expert I do the same but dude you did amazing! Cheers!!!

I’ll admit you did play it safe, but honestly I would have too. Sometimes finding that pocket of known bangers is an easy hole to slide into, but you still crushed the event, & that’s what matters! Especially with the starting & stopping constantly going on
More 90s and 80s rock right after the last band set may have been good. But I wasn't there, so who knows. Your transitions are magnificent as well as song selections. You've got it. Slayed it.

It seemed like some of the crowd was upset the band came on for there last set bc you had them eating out of your palm! Great work sir!

Love your video it give me an insight into club & dj life over the pond (as I’m a dj in the UK). Don’t be so hard on yourself. As 20-30 good mixes way out the 1-2 bad mixes. I think you should do some video on your process of preparing your tracks & techniques. Let us go on the journey with the learn process with you as well as just the gigs. There is nothing on RUclips about open format stuff & the process that goes into it. It all about house, hip hop, techno ext.

I enjoyed watching this. Your set was 🔥 you played what was right for the setting & regardless of the small mistakes there was always a bounce back. I used to DJ in the 90s with Technics 1200 & Numark mixers & although the modern equipment is different & advanced now, It still takes me back to the mixing days. Respect.

Yep on song. The playlist was on point and you played to the crowd in front of you. When you say you "stuffed up" did you notice anyone on the dance floor reacting? Nope, they did not notice. Not every mix will be perfect, to be honest if it was it would get boring. You have the skill to brush it a side and get on with it. Well Done!

Way to work it. You played support when you needed, and crushed it when the time was right. You are totally at the mercy of your surroundings here, and this is a great place to try anything and everything! I think you played it pretty safe with your transitions, but sometimes that's the way to keep the room. Way to find some stuff to work on, and make sure to hold yourself to it! That's one of my weak points.

with open format I feel like you did pretty well, its all about timing and knowing different genres of music forreal forreal, with that crowd beginning with 80-90s top hits and than boom early 2000s hits for the rest of the time. looking up what were the top hit songs from each era really helps especially with a mixed crowd those are the songs that every one no matter race, gender, etc knows.
🎰Dude, you absolutely crushed it. Kept that huge crowd there through the end of your set and had people of all different ages dancing. 10/10, no notes.

Really good stuff man. Some great song selections, too. I’ve shot a few bands there and that section can be ALLLL over the place in terms off clientele and number of people that are in it. Definitely seen the fall off effect when the concert starts. Haaha

You had good sets & a good variety of different genres! On another note the pioneer srt is a ok controller but when activating stems on both sides sucks because you can accidentally hit another button. Which I have done, that's why I been rocking the rev5 a lot better because cues & stems in the center
