Can’t wait. It’s been such dangerous weather here in Texas since I received the XL, I haven’t been able to use it. Crazy, my go to hang space at our farm lost some big limbs last weekend that would have wrecked a brother in a hammock. We’re headed to Missouri for a week in June and I can’t wait to spend 6 days in it. And drink from my new camp mug! Great touch, you guys are class act.
Wow, good thing you were not hanging when the limbs came crashing down! Wish you a great camping trip Jason:) Thanks for the kind words. Stay wild- Didrik @ Amok
the airpad is the weak link in the draumr hammock system. couple of months ago i bought my third pad within two years and its already leaking like its two predecessors. not very comfy to wake up in the middle of the night with your feet dangling towards the ground. now i am on the lookout for a alternative pad. otherwise i am very happy with the hammock!
I have been really enjoying my Draumr hammock system. Tried to adjust the pressure in the pad once while I was laying on it in the hammock, I just wanted to press the flat in a bit and let out a little at a time. When I let go of the flap it popped up in full discharge rate...I could not get it to stay in...had to bail out quickly 😂.....Lesson learned, go easy pressing on that flap while laying on the pad. 👍🏼. I am curious how much if any added wear is there on the pad when it is bent in “beer” mode? Have you seen frequent damage from this? What does Fjøl mean?.Thanks Amok, nice kit!
Hehe, yup;) Dont press it too hard when you are inside the hammock. We have not had any issues with extended wear and tear on the pad due to beer mode. But try not to have it inflated to the max when using it as a chair;) Fjøl means board/carving board in Norwegian:) Best regards- Team Amok

I bought the DraumR System. Nice. Really nice. But... I never could have my pad inflated for a whole night. I had back pain many times because the pad deflated gently. after about 4 hours, it is completely empty. I think that it is because of the valve, or the cheapness of the pad, I don't know. I'll put it into the water to see, but I am not happy with this product. And as I can see, there is no lifetime warranty. Maybe Amok Equipment can do something, but I'm searching another pad. Nemo has a valve system that seems to be more reliable.
Why dont you send us an email to support@amokequipment.com Find out where the leak is coming from and if it is the valve we will replace it free of charge. All the best- Didrik @ Amok
HI, I bought an Amok Draumr XL but it didn't come with a pad. How can I get one here in New Zealand please ? I have tried Amok Equipment website but it tells me they don't ship to NZ.
Hi there! Unfortunately, we do not ship to New Zealand at the current time. We are a small team trying to build brick by brick, and right now we do not have the capacity or support system in place to handle it. But our goal is certainly to be able to offer our products to New Zealand in the future. With regards to the pad, as far as we are aware, we are the only ones who sell pads that fit the length of Draumr XL. If you know anyone in any of the countries we ship to (US, EU and Norway), our best advice in this case would be to maybe ask them to purchase one for you and send it to New Zealand. So sorry about the inconvenience! All the best, Team Amok
Nice! Yes, it takes some skill to be able to do it so awesome to hear you got it dialed in:) maybe we should do a video on that as well;) Emptying the pad while it is in the sleeve and then rolling it while it siste over the ridgeline usually does the trick to keep the pad from getting wet or staying away from ticks.
I remember when I worked at a pet store, when we would bag the fish, we would roll up the bag bu from the corners and that would make a big air pocket

Hi, Great tips! Thank you, Didrik. - Namhee. :)
Most welcome:)
Mine doesn't look *quite* that good once I get it back into the bag...yet. But, I am working on it. Thanks Didrik.
I am sure yours will look just as good with a few test runs;) Thanks for supporting us and using our gear:) Stay wild!
Hi, about how many times do you have to "fill" the bag, till the pad is ready to use?
Depending a bit on how much air you get in the bag each time, maybe between 5-10 times :)
