A few fun Facts: - I've never played through Opposing Force until I made this, I forgot to pick up the Displacer on my first run. - I call this series "item origins" rather than "weapon origins" because it avoids the Youtub fun police algorithm that looks up key words like "gun", weapon" and so on. - unlike the TF2 videos where I used SFM to record weapons, I use J.A.C.K to make a greenscreen and bluescreen map in Goldsrc to record the weapons rotating ingame. most of the weapons in this vid use a bluescreen because they're green. only the shockroach used the greenscreen this time because it's blue. - I show the world model and view model in these videos because the view model is often in higher detail then the world model. The tf2 weapons are the same in the world and view so that's why I didn't show the view model for the TF2 item origins videos. This wasn't always the case and has only been since war paints were a thing. - The Stock Shotgun is an Ithaca 37 with a sawn down barrel.
So, how hard was it to destroy the Voltigore nest without the BFG parody? Probably not that hard, you still have a sniper rifle and a SAW at your disposal.
Please read this comment, I think it's really interesting: The in-game sniper rifle is based off of the Steyr Scout more than the M40A1, that's because you can clearly see a bipod as part of like the whole stock?
