"Crimson and Clover" was written by Tommy James. "I Love Rock n Roll" was written by the Arrows Alan Merrill and Jake Hooker. Jett does great covers. She also writes great songs like "Cherry Bomb"

I'm learning power chords, and someone suggested Crimson and Clover, and that led me here. They are one of the most relatable instructors I've seen on the You Tubes. Easy to follow until I got to the B section, but that's why we can pause videos.

Nice one to show your fans, Jen. Tommy James & The Shondells took this one to #1 on the top 100, Joan Jett later peaked it at #7 on the charts. Both artist put it in the top ten, not bad at all...
this is really late but if you still need it, i use a clean channel in the red and use the settings, Gain: 10, Volume 10, Treble 9, Bass 3, and Master is how ever loud you want to play lol. And on the guitar have the volume on 10 and Tone on 10 too playing on the trebble side.

I play it differently but essentially the same, I use full barre chords and it creates just a circular pattern, plus the melody part is done the same. Anyways, great instructional video.

If you don't know what chords she's talking about, read a chord chart. If you don't know the picking patterns, read a picking pattern book. If you were at all familiar with the fret board of a guitar you would know what she's fretting even if you can't really see instead of expecting perfection from her. Quit expecting other people to do everything for you and pick a video that is at your level.
I don't know why people seem to think they can just pick up a guitar knowing nothing about it and watch these videos and be able to play.

your talking too fast. on the first bit it looks like your double fretting, you may want to edit and throw in 'bird finger is lifted, not fretting'.
Second suggestion, stop trying to teach a song and while repeating "you can do this OR this OR this OR this OR this or try this., etc" Especially with beginners, when you provide too much information, it is just information overload that leads to frustration.
from a students perspective:
First show how to form the chords and simply strum them a simple up down. Second, show the chord changes. Third show the rhythm.
This means the student can learn in three segments. Once they have those three segments down, then do a part two of the video and say, 'well, since you have the chords, the chord changes and the rhythm down, let me NOW SHOW YOU some variations.'
I think most, especially beginners, need to learn in segments. Chords, chord changes, rhythm, and then finally as a bonus teach variations.
I can finger pick Dust in the Wind, but watching this video teaching method makes a simple song too complicated. That isn't in any way an insult, just input from a student of music point of view.
P.S. also keep in mind when you are demonstrating chords from a head-on view some fingers look like they are on the fretboard when they are not. I would, again, mention, "note, the bird finger is not touching the guitar", or film at a 20 degree angle where the viewer can see that certain fingers are slightly lifted and doing nothing.
