It was 1982 or 1983, I don't remember well, Chile, South America, just so you know, only music in English was heard here. We were a group of kids from a Catholic church who went to a children's hospital to visit them to give them a little joy. We had a guitar, and in the hospital courtyard we stopped to rest for a while and I sang this song to a girl from the group we were in, she knew it, and we sang it for a while, during the break, rest. When I listen to this song I am transported to that day, that year, we were young people of 18 or 19 years old, we had our whole lives ahead of us. Nobody in the US, nor in the world, nor in my country knew this, only that girl and I, here in Chile, South America, her name was Greece, to this day I remember her name, but I never heard from her again. . Life things.

Especially during the "Runaways" phase, so many live appearances. Love the variety that gives, I bet I have 5 Cherry Bomb versions, a few Dead End Justice etc.
Fantastic female Rock N' Roll vocalist and so glad she and Pat Benetar, and Debbie Harry broke into Rock N' Roll, they were such first pioneeers in the generation for women to come into this music category. A Major Breakthrough Finally for Women in a male dominated industry of Rock N' Rollers!

It was pretty ballzy of her to cover this way back in 1982 and not change the pronouns (of course it's not really possible to without fucking up the lyrical flow). I'm sure it didn't go unnoticed to lots of gay kids back then. Those were pretty conservative times in the States.
