- In this video I will show you how to install car / truck / tractor mods in spintires mudrunner. I install 3 different mods 2 different ways. This is the easiest way to install spintires mudrunner mods.

what about maps?
Mods do not appear in game at all and I cannot select them. Any advice? I followed the steps thoroughly.

Everything works, but when I'm in the game and I want to choose the car, nothing happenes.. I click it and it isn't added in car list to play with it.. Why..?
Is it because I use Epic Games version?
I use epic version, try a different mod.

I didn't download the game from steam
just go to the folder where Mudrunners exe file is then just continue from that bit, sorry for the long delay in replaying I had a hangover from hell

not working how? All you do is download a mod then follow the steps in the video from 1:20seconds, make sure it is a working mod. Make sure you put the files in the proper folder Mudrunners main folder where the exe file is located
i have a map problem i cant choose a vechile it doest show me a option

there's a brows workshop button on any game that uses it . its right under the workshop logo.
@Gopherchucks Games: Exactly & by far the quickest way to access the workshop of any game, I don't understand why anyone would do it any differently ?

Do I have to purchase the game on steam?
I have xbox game pass and the game is available on it and I downloaded the game from the Microsoft store.
When I bought the game it was not available on Steam.

One question I have my mod folder and the mods have worked before but I tried yawing them in multiplayer with a friend and I couldn’t use them again after that not even by my self but when I check my media folder it says there all there but when I go to play and pick a car there is nothing there

When I install mods through the workshop, I have to do is open the mod page and click subscribe after it’s done downloading when I start up mud runner, all I have to do after that is click one of the default trucks and it shows up in the list.
Yeah sometimes you need points to select the mods tho depending on what way the mod is set up :)
Multi players mode and achivements are locked now by adding mods by this way, crap !! (files are differents from original game it says) Any solution ? No problems with steam mods..
I would look on their website, or try look for modded maps and game modes that allow Mulitplayer , its so annoying when this happens turns everything into a mess. steam will be safe because they have a high standard, personal mods not always does. Stick with Steam you cant really go wrong but I know one day you see a thinig you must have to drive then you find out it doesnt work :( suks bad...

So did they ever come out with mods (besides the valley dlc) for the xbox one? like player created mods like fallout did?
To be honest I dont think they will, it would be very costly for a person to make mods on xbox, needing new hardware and stuff, id imagine it would be a very small nitch... but not to say who knows what the future brings :)

it should start automatically but try clicking steam on the top left corner of steam then settings and then opting out of all betas then it download the mod you want.

Try a different map and make sure you are naming everything proper
whats the safest place to install mods? besides steam, because steam mods wont work for me.
SnowHaZard01 Google it, just make sure you have virus protection and read peoples comments. Im scared to give you a link incase you get a virus from it, I have gotten a virus threat before but my software delt with it before it became an issue. Good luck!
is this website a popular one, i know i can get viruses from anything so i would blame someone else if i did get one. the websites ive seen dont have very many comments on them maybe because its a somewhat new game?
If I were you, I would use World Of Mods with adblock.

thats funny that... out of 22,508 people you are the only one who managed to do that and you blame me? re-watch the video and do the steps carefully and how I did them, dont be doing no shortcuts they wont work... come back again after you do it properly thank you :)
you can get mods even easier via manage mods ingame, you can add or remove and when youre done selecting those you want it starts to download them. Even tho those mods are only linked to the steam workshop
Erik Simca yeah some of those mods you need ingame points to use them, but it just makes for more fun :)

I just google them, but be very careful what you download, make sure you have virus protection.

my game comes up with inccorect media paths in config file and then all the textures are gone
if you are on steam try verify your game, it will check to make sure nothing is broke and if it is broke it will fix it. Good Luck I hope you get it sorted
fixed the textures but removed the map that i downloaded
make sure any mod or map you use is for Spintires: Mudrunner and not just spintires

as far as I know xbox doesnt have mods, only PC.
That's definitely the clearest way I've seen on how to install non-workshop mods, every other method has been tedious & time consuming :-)

Not sure why you didn't cover map installation. Kinda important ;) Also, accessing the workshop your way is really too many cliks. Library>Game>Community Hub> Workshop is best.

When i hoover with my cursor over one of those vehicles it dont show me any information, i also as i mentioned can't "Equip" it to drive it.

I can choose all vehicles except two... the 1st is a Locomotive on Wheels (M62) wich i installed Correctly manual. And the 2nd is the CATERPILAR Crane... ich can Click 1000 times on it and it won't let me play it.

completed it on ps4 but gone over to pc as bored with standard maps and trucks, but still trying to find my way around and figure out how to use pc.
With mods it opens the whole game loads of different stuff to mess about with :) just all a wee learning curve tho

My config folder has changed...what do I do
did you change it? or just type in where the new folder is
