- Country music artist Lee Roy Parnell gave us this insightful rundown of his Gibson Custom Shop signature Goldtop Les Paul at NAMM 2012. Revered for his killer slide playing, Lee Roy explains what modifications and tweaks have helped him to get his sound. Thanks Lee Roy!
This guy knows his stuff y'all.
I really like the idea of the shaved cutaway, they should do that on more les pauls!
this is the point of a signature guitar... not only do a visually catchy guitar, but really put attention to details that only players value...
He is hammered.
@serviviente7 he might have had it right for YOU the first time. I however kinda like the idea of the deeper cutaway. Upper fret access has always left something to be desired on a les paul.
I liked this - because (even though he's pickled) it was only demo I've watched with no playing of the guitar!
He reminds me of Gregg Allman alot. A real southern gentlemen.
4:11 til 4:24 .. best comment on PAF's ever
Dig the stinger.............
Does this guitar do well in rock music!! Like Guns N´ Roses songs??
