Budgie was my biggest influence as a drummer growing up ... I used to come home from school put the phones on and play along to various Banshees albums until I knew all the parts part perfect. He is an amazing drummer ... none other like him.
Um, how did I get Souxsie's shoes mixed up with Budgie's ? Shit, I'd better say something intelligent ! Souxsie and the Banshees have never stuck to a formula like other bands but have always experimented. Budgie is one of the few musicians who can make the dreaded ''drum solo'' enthralling and captivating listening. Best drummer to come out of the whole punk/post-punk scene.
He might wear girls shoes but with those strong arms you wouldn't want a punch off him. BAM BAM BAMA-BAM BAM CRAK ! Seriously, he is an amazing drummer like very one says, and I love the Banshees.
