Jetblue has had more effect on prices than Frontier or spirit had, mainly due to the product and service that they offer. Customer service is not up there with Delta or Southwest but its waaay better than the ultra low cost guys. The disruptions they caused is noticeable where even Southwest which was known for making other airlines drop prices to compete is starting to worry. When the Northeast Alliance formed they were one of the airlines that sent complaints to the governors, saying that this will form a monopoly in the New York and Boston routes. As if thats not going on right now 😒

You are correct on JetBlue wanting Spirits routes and planes. This was the last chance for them to marge with another airline as most everybody else is already paired up. Growing organically would just take too long as Airbus is back ordered. Also JetBlue needs Spirits pilots and flight attendants as crew members are also in short supply

I enjoy Jet Blues Direct TV on board……for FREE! I have yet to fly SPIRT. Seen some RUclips videos that have me concerned.
Oooohhh! I have no idea they had Direct TV on board for free! WOW! That's awesome! Yeah, I've flown Spirit a few times. It's not too bad, you just have to know what you're in for before you travel. hahaha And know all their rules so you're not caught off guard. LOL
1. I think this deal with be approved because there is not a lot of overlap.
2. Jetblue and Spirit both operate Airbus 320neo and Airbus 321neo
3. All other airlines did merger before except Jetblue, so now it is their opportunity
4. Yes, Jetblue will be more popular in Florida, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Chicago, Atlanta and Denver.
5. Jetblue will also give some gates away in New York, Boston and Newark.
6. Jetblue has a history of cheaper tickets over AA, delta and United, I highly believe this is a great deal for Jetblue, Spirit and for customers.
7. Plus customers will get, free TV, movies, WiFi, snacks, drinks and even dinner on London and Lax routes. This is a great deal.
Plus there are new low cost Carriers now, like Breeze, Avalo, and more.

JetBlue's only interest is the pilots and the airplanes because of the the pilot shortage. Gate agents, ticket counter people and flight attendants ( who all make spirit airlines look bad) will all lose their job. They need the pilots and planes to compete with the big 4

I agree. Once they merge they gotta start fresh with the gate agents and flight attendants. Also they wanted the routes from the west coast not the pilots.

Omg have you seen the price of flights recently m I'm trying to go to Aruba for my birthday this month, and the airfares are in her thousands. I'm clutching my pearls. Once I get there I'm ok, because my sister lives there, but why are the airfares so high? #UGH

Yeah, I was trying to go somewhere a couple months ago, and I just had to scratch it cause the tickets were just way to expensive for me. Def put a tracker on those Aruba flights. I hope you get an affordable one soon! 😭
@@KRodCollective that's ok. I know that you're busy. But what I did was get 2 one way tickets and I basically stayed for 10 days. Longer than what I wanted to but the prices were dictating my stay, and I got to hang with my sister a lot longer. Check out one way prices. Maybe you can get a deal that way

I think it is interesting and I am intrigued to see what happens! I feel as though this can be really great for Spirit and JetBlue if done right, but I also sense this could bite them in the booty in terms of rebranding if they choose that route. If it's purely logistic and the route they are after, it might provide Frontier with more business from the budget conscious flyers. Let's See!! Thanks for making this, I loved this video :)
