My brother please don’t give away these kinda secrets lol I love pulling into the truckstop at 7or8am with nothing but empty spots everywhere😂
You can cruise right on through the big cities at 3:00 a.m.
And it's cooler and less stress on engine with day heat.
Plus driving at night most of the idiots are home in the bed
Cooler pavement equals less tire wear.
You can't even drive in the LA area during the day. It's nuts
Fly by night, my favorite time.
I always prefer driving at night. Less assholes on the road, and when I'm getting ready to shut down at 7 or 8 in the morning, I have no problem finding a spot.
Plus lower temperature & colder air that is better for truck
You are right I'm a truck driver for 24 years and Love driving at night also less knuckle heads on the road 🙃🙂
To show off the chicken lights and glowy air cleaners 😋
Love driving at night. All true
Love driving at night. Plus, I never have a problem filling up quickly at the fuel station. Try filling up between 5 and 8 AM. what a mess!
Now that's Smart Trucking.
Cooler on the tires also
I loved rolling through Indianapolis and Atlanta at 2AM. I get all warm and tingly just thinking about it
Its just nice and peaceful. All thebreas9ns above, but basically its judt less everything. Sun aint in your eyes, heat isnt as much of an issue, roads are empty, easy to see other traffic coming up on you with their headlights on at night- so long as they have their lights on.....
Come on brother you're blowing our cover man !!😂
I'm one of those night drivers.
Pretty much they way I operated for over 20yrs. Additionally, I worked mostly on weekends, leaving me often with Mon-Wed off and free to enjoy beaches and many other leisure activities crowd free. Loved it and spent a lot of time with my wife and kids while they were little. You folks that are still out there grinding away, keep your head up!
Drive at night so sunlight don't cook you.
THAT'S FINE AS LONG AS YOUR NOT DRIVING THE SNOW & ICE AT NIGHT
That's how I've been diving for over 20 plus years, makes sense to me!
You forgot how much easier it is on the eyes and how much more relaxing. When we went on vacation, i keep the family up all day early and left late in the day and had 10 hours of peaceful bliss driving while everyone else slept.
I like the cool air coming in the window at night.
not to mention the cooler night is easier on your truck. Yes that's my handle.
I've driven at night for many years. You make better time and less congestion going into the Boston area.
When I seen an opportunity to start at 2am or drive and finish around 5am, I snatch the opportunity, especially when driving through states like Georgia, NJ, NY, and Pennsylvania.
I’m not a trucker but I always preferred driving at night.
Thats true. Night driving was a lot less stressful for me. I loved it
Yes sir. On the other hand i still love sleeping next to my wife at night
My guy is giving away trade secrets. Used to drive before I enlisted and these were all the reasons i drove at night.
Don't be giving our secrets away
Big nocturnal animals come out at night
Another reason down here in the south is because the road is cooler and it’s usually easier on your tires
I love seeing the sunrise in the Smokey Mountains. I have seen wrecks from sun glare, so there's that.
Man I salute all my fellow night rollers it’s a beautiful thing to have the world to yourself @ 2am
You hit the nail on the head. All good reasons why I enjoy getting out there super early
Facts. I been driving at night for over 10 years. This is 100% the reason I drive at night.
Dad did a lot of driving and always honked to truck drivers and they honked back. As a kid you’ll never forget it
Amen brother! Been trucking 37 yrs and run nights.. I barely cross an open scale and always have front row parking in the morning…
Always tried to start up around 2am when I was otr. Still get the morning traffic but parking was always easy around 2pm
I love driving at night.
Besides they get to cover much ground which make trips shorter and much safer
I work nightshift in manufacturing and it’s the same here, less people, chill managers, no bs
Thank you for all you do without truckers we would have nothing.
Coming from a old driver who ran coast to coast you're dead on on all points. As was when I drove and as it will always be. Well said Sir.
Lol those are all things I herd my papa saying when people ask why he drives at night
you nailed it, Dave.
Multiple for me: less traffic, great parking after the shift, less roadwork, and I start my drive with the sunset and end with the sunrise.
Same with 911 EMS. You still get goofy calls, but there’s more code red patients in the middle of the night.
I always did it night driving better on the long haul
You are spot on The only thing I hated about driving at night was when I'm parked for the day during summer It got freaking hot in that truck trying to sleep even with the AC blasting
You nailed it on the head!
I never thought of that as a truck driver now I know why so much scheduling for a run can benefit you at night
I have always been a night driver. I won't change.
100 percent correct im night rider lol
TRUCKERS ROCK!!!! They all need more PRAISE & SUPPORT….and PRAYER from the AMERICAN PEOPLE. THANK YOU TRUCKERS!!
I run the east coast and cover a lot more miles by driving at night. It saves a ton of fuel too.
When I was a young man any time I drove about 10 to 12 hours to an ocean front I always found a nice truck driver on my c.b. radio to talk to along the way. That and a thermos full of coffee made ti feel like a shorter drive.
Great advice....
Driving into the morning as the sun is coming up is epic too.
Very interesting, sir.
It's always good to hear the voice of experience and expertise.
Stay safe.
I know driving for a living is not easy and takes plenty of patience.
Our company does not have a/c in any of our fleet so night time is very cool. I cant handle the humidity during the day. Plus we get a shift premium for nights.
Thank all the truck drivers for the job that you do
Luckily me n my wife team so we don’t park but everything else I relate to cuz I night drive
less trafic but more unpredictable drunktards crashing into your rig.
If I had became a truckdriver I would have driven at night, all that you said is so true with night highway driving, I love it
#3 is why I drive at night. Never weigh my loads bc I know the scales are closed
You should do a "Pros & Cons" to night time driving.
💯 percent agree with you, I was a over the road truck driver.....
You’ve hit every nail on the head why I drive at night! 😂
I love starting around 9pm to 11pm and ending shifts around 12am-2 pm not alot of people in the showers and open parking near the building and i can keep my truck at 68mph on my shift no 4 wheelers speeding past me getting in my lane then looken at there phones all while slowing me down cause the truck has so many sensers they start screaming at u
I could also do 500+milez with 2-3 store stops which take up 30mins-1hour and make it back home and im home weekly
Just hope you can get good sleep during the day.
yeah I do the exact same thing😂 I'm Mr nocturnal that's the way I like it
I hate working in the day ,even just being out at 7pm means everyone is home ........except LA
Me with an oversized load. Can't drive at night😢
#5 the chicken lights look sick in the dark
Just the less traffic one makes sense. It is crazy the amount of trucks on the highway during rush hour.
I drive nights in WA. No traffic. No scales. And I'm a home daily driver so only time I'm at a truck stop is to fuel and grab coffee 😊
Excellent reasons, they're why I drove at night. Anytime after 9 pm and parked anytime before 7 or 8 am.
Still love it at nite but dam deer in new york
FINALLY!
Someone who shares the same thoughts and understands nighttime driving because it's safer.
I Love driving at night
He said a total mouth full.he is 100% right
Plus its much cooler at night
And no wait for Showers.
I liked driving at night for all the above reasons.
Equipment operates better in the cool of night and requires less diesel per mile in ideal cool conditions.
Don't forget there's less road work being conducted at night.
Preach…PREACH ON!!! 💯
Heck yea that's why I'm a night driver when it's feasible.... I hate day driving too many 4 wheelers doing the most... I'm mad in the day time just so happy at night 😂😊
Kudos to these guys. I cannot think of very many mind numbingly boring occupations that are worse.
Makes a lot of sense but really messes up your sleep habits.
Great channel.
good points, that is the way I used to do it
I’m a flat bed driver my deliveries most of them are at day time
All facts
I much prefer night driving. I have a family and my natural circadian rhythm fucking hated it lol. Is what it is
Exactly right on all points
The cartel is gonna love this one
