    1. Remember that what you’re going through will pass.
    2. Accept not resist what you’re feeling.
    3. Breathe slow and deeply.
    4. Talk it out.
    5. Get outside.
    6. Eat Regularly without long breaks.
    7. Say no to caffeine.
Thanks for sharing these Meghan. ❤️

    👍Take a deep breath.
    Accept that you're anxious.
Realize that your brain is playing tricks on you.
    Question your thoughts.
    Use a calming visualization.
Be an observer - without judgment.

Doesn't matter that these are the typical things we hear all the time to do. I'm currently going through an episode and seeing someone on screen that I could tell who truly cared and felt like they were talking me through it made me feel so much better. Sometimes we need a reminder to do these simple things. Thank you ❤️

I struggle with anxiety so much so that I don’t drive and I’ve quit a couple jobs in the past, however for the past few years I’ve been a childless housewife and have been loving it! Also my husband takes me places and he’s a very cute chauffeur! ❤️

    • @jessie9653

Me too. I have a license but do not drive out of fear and anxiety in my husband also chauffeurs me LOL. Same when it comes to jobs. I'm just so thankful my husband has a really great job and I can stay home. Not everyone is so lucky

You’re videos really calm me down. I had a panic attack in class today and a couple things that help me, for everyone that goes through the same is: Take 3 deep breaths, think about 3 things that I’m grateful for and try to list 3 things that I can see and hear. It really helps me calm down and slow my heart rate.

Thnx Megan, I needed to hear this. I’m a certified massage therapist so I appreciate holistic health alternatives & ideas for self care. A few months ago my anxiety & panic was so bad I had to get medical tests. Turns out I needed more magnesium & I’m vegetarian so I needed to incorporate more protein. I’ve started to eat fish a few days a week & prioritize eating more across the day because my job is literally like a work out. I also started taking supplements like D3 & vitamin C. I do take B12 supplements already but the other supplements really helped me.
Another vital thing that has helped was trying to go to bed and wake up at the exact same time every day no matter what what. I also turn down the lights and make my way to my bedroom around 9 PM so I can begin to wind down for the night.
I’m not saying this is good for everyone but I’m just saying what I had to do for my own personal care. I’m glad you mentioned caffeine as I’m sensitive & don’t even drink coffee. I like Matcha green tea & chocolate too 😎 so I need to be careful.
Anyways, I’ve been feeling a bit anxious the past few days as I have been working a lot. Thank you again for covering this topic. A lot of us really need to hear this right now.

Meghan, this video is so much needed and I love all your tips! Breathing, going outside, and writing on my journey are some things that helps calm and ease me when I get so anxious! Also, listening to 432hz mediation music is very soothing and I don't drink or eat any caffeine. Self care is so important and thank you again for this wonderful video💖💜

The number two, ACCEPTANCE, it's fundamental, for me. It took me a really long time to understand what i was doing wrong, i wasn't LISTENING and recognizing my emotions. When i started doing it, it really changed my perspective.
Also: if you try not to hear it, you are giving the thought POWER and you're also subconsciously saying to you that you're not strong enough and doing so, reinforcing the anxiety

    • @meghanlivingstone
      @meghanlivingstone  3 года назад +3

When I was struggling with pretty severe anxiety about a decade ago, acceptance was the single most pivotal change for me. Learning to not resist the scary feelings helped SO much. Since then it's always something I remember to do! Thanks for sharing Elisabetta! ❤️

Thank you Meghan. I think that many people need to know those things, especially during this difficult time for everyone.
It this can help someone as well, focusing on the present has been really helpful for me when dealing with anxiety. Bad memories of the past and too many expectations for something that might not even happen in the future can be destructive. Don't let any negative thoughts suffocate you and focus on doing your best in the present moment.

Awesome advise , my husband burst and eye vessel, and was told by his doctor and specialist it is due to stress,...the silent killer,.and anxiety.....Men I think are harder to advise as they think they should be strong, but our bodies can only take so much before something will give out,...our bodies are awesome indicators that something is up. Always ask for help ,....its ok ..
Thank you Meghan you have wisdom and strength,....sending love from NZ xox

These are all the same or similar to advice my therapist has given me over the years. Excellent advice and these things really help! Even though I already knew most of these, it is good to be reminded and hear it again. The more I revisit these tips, the more I’m likely to remember them in a moment of panic.

I just recently came across your videos and trying to watch most of them. I have suffered generalized anxiety for years. Even saw a therapist who taught me breathing exercises and mindful meditation. I love your suggestions. But on the one, talk it out, most of the time I don't know what brought on the anxiety. Just happens out of the blue for no reason. So wouldn't know what to say. There are a few times I know exactly what brought it on but most the time I don't. Love your videos I've seen so far.

Thank you for this great video ! All your tips are on point. For me what is most helpful is trying to take a step back and seeing the big picture, breathing and allowing the emotions to flow through me instead of tensing and resisting them. Meditation and enough sleep are also really helpful as a continuous practice to reduce my anxiety in the long term and manage it better when it shows up. I really appreciate the quality of the content you put out as well as its aesthetics that are soothing and create a soft and warm atmosphere.

Needed this. Thank you so much! I just pray that The Lord heals whoever struggles with anxiety/panic attacks or any mental health problems, so I’m praying right now including myself that he heals us all and continues to guide us through our experiences with this in peace. In Jesus name. Amen. So as a Christian it’s important to Talk with The Lord about it and has a self care activity I just listen to music and talk with a friend about it. But also The Lord will listen.❤️✝️
