  • When you need texture, these paints provide it. I am one that likes to add a bit here and there, not use for a whole painting, so this is an add on palette for me. Do you use granulation? Would you use just this palette to do a whole painting?

Do you combine your super-granulation colors into your main palette or do you separate them?

Are all of those Schmincke watercolors?

Most but not all and I don’t have all the Schmincke ones, some are close in color to others. So fun to play with. Thank you Jessica.

What do the P numbers mean❓❓❓. I’m just learning watercolor so I have no idea.

It stands for P (pigment) R (red) B (blue) etc…and the number after the letters is the number in that pigment range that it was given. That combination has usually a common name. Example is - Pb29 - P(pigment) b (blue) 29, common name Ultramarine. I hope this helps, it can get quite confusing. Thank you Lynn.
