This is sooo insane, putting a Buchla style modular synth in a Volca form factor! Korg are proving they have their finger on the pulse with the cult popularity of the Volca series!
Is it possible to damage this unit by plugging a patch lead between 2 sockets that should not be connected, or is there some built in protection to prevent that from happening?
@Dude Karl What does "no" mean then? There were 2 questions. Which question were you answering? The question about the possible damage or the question about the protection to prevent any damage?
These are great videos except for 1 thing... The constant changing of the camera for the volca. The over head view was the best as it allows the audience to 100% know where a cable is being patched. Just hearing him say where doesn't really help with such a poor visual side view.
C'mon korg.......stop teasing. Ship them already! Also, you guys should have definitely used regular standard patch cable's, like on the ms20. Even if it would have costed another $50, it would have been much better quality, more professional & looked cooler also. I'd like to know if it's possible to modify with standard cable ports?? For a $199 item, I'd take the risk of ruining it to have proper patch cable's option........& I'd guess there's tech savvy guys that can modd this that way. ⚠♺⏩
drowse he has a gun pointed at him from the Japanese government behind the camera to make sure he says the forced statement correctly, his fakeness is a result of his pressure to sell the product well for his life while he also feels bad about contributing to the corporate greed of korg

What a difference sound makes!
Now with fixed sound!
Tell us about the CV!!
@ 4:27 tongue twister moment [AMAZED it took this long 😂] lots and lots of rewinding for me hahaha
Ok, can we get stackable mini-cables?
They're just wires, twist 'em together.
Thanks for the video! : ) How many tones can you play at the same time with your fingers on the onboard keyboard?
Sounded like Pac-Man there for a sec 😂

I sure hope not
Highly unlikely. I think Korg design their products properly and this would be a design fault if this was the case.
So the other version of the video wasn't an homage to John Cage?

The dropping of 'the' as in 'the Volca modular' is really annoying. Pure Apple Speak.

NYCP NY quarter inches are massive these are like a millimeter wide that wouldn’t work
Having standard patch cables would defeat the point of making the synth so small to begin with. Just go fully into modular synthesis.
this guy moves his body too much with fake enthusiasm

STOP SAYING MODULAR! ;)
