I got copyright claimed on my 2 videos of metallica songs without distorsion. Even blackened got copyright claimed after 10 seconds.
RUclips uses an algorithm that identifies the melody of the song.

@@captainnuggie1831 same here. My arm stiffens, cramps up and I can't maintain the speed no matter how hard I try. I keep practicing though, it seems to be getting better. Maybe one day I'll be able to play Master of Puppets at full speed without breaks.

s vs. it’s called vibrato. It bends the pitch of the power chord up and then back normal, hope this helps!

It was what the cover was designed for. It was intended to be the title of the album.
Would’ve been a better title track and album name for sure. Has a much better ring to it than Master of Puppets. Also never cared for the fact that the album cover had the band logo and album title on it. It was such a good picture to the point where it should’ve made that statement all on its own without iconography to sap it up.

Horrorfreak106 true, Metallica actually do not use too much gain. The tone is clearwr and has much more dynamics and is not compressed that lot, which I prefer. And most specifically since they played Mesas they dont use overdrive in front. I dont get why people do that so much. Works with Plexi but not Boogies

Master of puppets is not a modern high gain tone as many inexperienced teens think.
It is not a metal core oversarurated boosted tone.
But on the contrary it is a deep Dry Crunch tone
I've heard these songs a million times in 35 years, and seeing the way you appreciate them makes me enthusiastic for listening to them a million more!

You should see what you get when layer one of each track with a different tone from each of the first four albums
RTL and KEA would be fine, they're pretty mid heavy. You could do some cool shiet. But Justice is so scooped it'll be hard to match it.
Unless... You do some stereo magic to make it work, some people put their scooped guitars on the far left/right

Sounds awesome. A couple of tracks on the record were down tuned, played at a slower tempo and then sped up in mixing to sound tighter, it's why they (title track in particular) have that digital-y sound to them.

I always use this formula and it sounds like shit: all of the gain, a bit of bass, no mids, a lot of treble xD

This just sounds like classic 80’s metal guitar tone. The thing that Metallica did for MOP that makes is sound so heavy for being in E standard is that they would tune their guitars down and speed up the tracks in Post to give them the powerful tone that you would normally find in lower tunings. I’m not an old head but it’s disappointing to see that everyone is so easily impressed nowadays.

@@samzbieszkowski642 It's actually in D standard and many Master of Puppets songs were recorded in that at a slower tempo, then sped up and pitch shifted to E because they wanted it to be as tight as possible. They couldn't play it as tight back then but of course from having played enough times they got better at it and have no problem with full tempo.

Nice tone, sounds very close to the album. If you really want to get the MOP tone, use a Seymour Duncan Invader like James did when he recorded the album.

the tone doesn't sound quite bad enough, it needs to sound a little worse before you get that perfect Metallica tone. Seriously though, i'm listening to master of puppets from here and on spotify back to back and this captures the exact same tone but better.
