2500 Stella. Fished 2 full seasons and it's holding up perfectly. Other than top shelf refinement, the most advanced tech, and white glove customer service, this is by the far the most reliable spinning reel I ever fished with. I cannot say the same for the mag seal offerings from Daiwa.
What by catch are you also handling? I noticed when I switched towards the technique you push last year that now I seem to be catching a lot more striped bass, blues, and weakies now than I did doing the Skinner (AKA Jiggling) method. Are you having significant by catch as well?
Not at all. I do come across the occasional bycatch but it is not common. If your jig is constantly in touch with the bottom, then you will avoid the typical bycatch.
What rod are you using? I don’t have Facebook or Instagram so the link is unavailable to me. I’m a big fan of the jerk shad too, I’m using 3/8 though on the jig head.
Which reel do you prefer & why..thnx

Great footage, do you prefer a plain jig head like what your using rather than a bucktail for flounder?

Link to the rod is in the video description!
It doesn’t seem from the camera angle that you are popping the jig on slack line. Have you changed the way you retrieve the jig?
Correct. Semi-slack line. The pendulum method that I honed over the years will be covered in a future video.
Sick dude. Crushing it. What time of the day and which tide did you fish? Thanks for the vid!
Thanks! Early morning during the middle of a tide. To really figure out the bite, go out and fish both tides on a given day.
North Beach closed?
How do you find where the fluke are.
from what beach are you fishing?
what time of day was this
