Nice feedback man! I'm nintendo switch user and now I want to extend the portable gaming experience to more modern games, and using the legion go as gaming and daily pc is awsome! thanks for the video
Very nice review, relaxing to listen to and without the stress of the actual "all the time fast talking" editing stile ;D I got my legion go just some weeks ago and I basicly use it the same way you do. It would be even capable to replace my main PC as I play mainly retro games but well... for now its there... After testing a lot, i just got rid of the AMD center and Legion Space software and replaced it with the handheld companion software. Way more options, faster, less problems and much more possibilitys of configuration. I've added a 5% deadzone to the analog sticks and now they are working very well, maybe that could be interesting for you, too.
@Atarix777 I appreciate it! Glad you enjoyed my video 🙏🏿. I'll definitely look into handheld companion. I've been meaning to check it out, I just didn't want to potentially ruin what already works for me.
I like how you went into talking about accessories and use-cases, rather than the by the numbers run down of features and Benchmarks most reviews rely on. The magnetic sticker is a great idea The hottest thing about the Legion Go are the 2 USBc ports. Makes it more verstile than relying on 1 Dock to do it all. In general it seems like Lenovo RND just threw everything on it from all their departments. FPS mode is a neat idea as a makeshift mouse, but most channels claim it to be a party trick. Guess "Desktop and RTS Mode" doesn't have the same ring to it. I would sacrifce the feature to get another trackpad. Overall I'm more interessted in the 2nd Gen of the Legion Go and what refinements Lenovo will make. Even 3 years after the Steam Deck, Handheld PCs are a new market. ASUS and Lenovo pulled a lot from their Laptop experience, mostly hold back by the bloat of Windows11 and their custom software solutions. And ASUS shit the bed on customer service and needs to build up their reputation that wasn't great in the first place.
I'm also looking forward to the next generation of handheld pcs. Longer battery life and maybe more usb c ports are at the top of my list for things I want.

@ekafaathirrochman3481 I would recommend the Legion Go because it has more potential for both of those uses. The Legion Go can connect an external gpu using any of its usb c ports, whereas the rog Ally x only has 1 usb 4 port. The legion go has a built-in kick stand, wireless controllers with a trackpad, and one of those controllers can become a full-fledged mouse in a pinch. The gaming performance will be comparable between the two, but they have separate advantages, like the Ally x having a 120hz VRR display, and the Legion go having a bigger 8.8" 144hz QHD+ display. The main advantages of the Ally X are the bigger battery size, the extra ram, and the vrr capability. For purely handheld gaming I would probably recommend the Ally X. For a combination of everything I would go with the Legion Go.
how is it when running league of legends? I have a steam deck but valve don't support league anymore, so Im comparing the asus ally to the Lenovo legion go

@@OleksiiK21 Im glad you asked. I am an iPad power user (i try to do all things on my iPad, as my main workstation) and I’ve been doing all sorts of things for many many years since the iPad M1 first came out. That depens and what you do and how you configure the system. In my case, when i play retro stuff it runs about 2.5 to 3 hours, but if you play a AAA title then it will be more about 90 minutes... But as Jamal told, with a powerbank you will be good to go.
@abmamun4155 Yeah, basically what they said above^^. In certain easy to run games, I can push it to around 4 hours, but generally, you're not gonna get more than that for 99% of the games you play on this device.

Great review
Analog stick is not good for side scroll games. Even in ps vita i use d-pad for old games like nes or sega. Itz hard. 😂
Facts, I need to adjust to using the dpad. For some reason even when I was younger I always used the analog stick for all games lol.
I see grand chase, I press like
🔥🔥
Its so odd when you see someone that has the same name as you lol automatic subbed lol

How long battery lasting?
That depens and what you do and how you configure the system. In my case, when i play retro stuff it runs about 2.5 to 3 hours, but if you play a AAA title then it will be more about 90 minutes... But as Jamal told, with a powerbank you will be good to go.
@@Atarix777 thanks a lot ❤️
@abmamun4155 Yeah, basically what they said above^^. In certain easy to run games, I can push it to around 4 hours, but generally, you're not gonna get more than that for 99% of the games you play on this device.
Wow i might actually get this just for maplestory lmao xD. Had no idea you can play with a controller lmao
It’s actually so fun and useful for doing dailies lool.
I updated the driver with AMD so I could play BO6 , legion is continuously crashing and I can’t access the options etc. 😢 trying to find a fix
Dam, that's unfortunate. I'm not sure how to fix that, but if you could somehow revert the updates, that might help.
@ found the fix, had to boot clean and reinstall a windows update
Anyone else finding themselves in the ‘task manager’ closing out a bunch of stuff before gaming? 😤
Sometimes
The cheap joycons are definitely something I expected to hear about. I would rather a Legion Go as a solid unit instead of joycons.
06:30 Same here...
no fckin way maplestory..imma buy that shit
10 hour gaming is for the bum children being brought up these days.
Ain’t no way I just saw maplestory on your feed. I’m watching you more now
If you buy a go and expect amazing battery life and have a fully portable computer that can play most triple a games you’re insane 3hrs off the charger is pretty decent to play cod then plug it up and continue most trains ,planes or cars have charger ports
Grand Chase ? Demm the nostalgia
Not bad just doesn't seem to be as good of a device as you are saying it to be especially for that price
I just paid that price and haven’t touched any of my other devices since but whatever haha actually debating selling
My others now
It’s all about personal preference. You can also find these for like 500-600 CAD on fb market where I live.
@@JamaltLee aw that’s cool than I will look into it if I do you know Uncle JD will be coming to you for help cause I won’t know how to work it lol
mid the battery life is terrible
@@itzLuxe depends on what you're playing and how long you typically game.
@@JamaltLeeit's garbage, better wait for the next gen
Good Lord, that desk is a mess. OK come on we’re adults. It should be waist straighter than that.
You wanna clean it for me?
I can’t express how much i dislike how fucking disorganized your desks are.
