Triumph street triple 765? Might want to give this a try.......You wont regret it!

You hit the nail on the head at the end of the video.....when looks are factored in the choices get reduced dramatically....I personally like the transformer streetfighter look over the retros....but I know that I am in the minority!

One of the things I really like about this category is that there are so many options with drastically varying looks and stats. There’s literally something for everyone.

All of these seem like great first bike options besides the duke and the Aprilla. I want to go test out Yamaha Suzuki Kawasaki and triumph. Thanks for the research.

The Duke and Tuono are definitely higher up in the power range, but all of these might be pushing it as a “first” bike. Unless you are an older rider or have experience with faster cars. I think 20-somethings should start in the 400 range, but 30-somethings and up would probably be okay in this middleweight class. It’s all about being responsible and not letting it get away from you.

Price is so important and for the Aprilla's 10k you can get
    - street triple r
    - mt09
Both have great triple engines and are worth the each 2k over the trident.
I use drive mode 2 to commute.

I have yet to ride the Street Triple, but I want to. I’m afraid the riding position might be to sporty, looking for something more upright. Always been interested in the MT07/09.

In the beginning you stated the Suzuki GSX S750. You even said it and showed a picture of it, talking about its inline 4. Then in your graphs, you had the Suzuki GSX 8S? Completely different bike. It's a parallel twin with a 270' crank making less horsepower than the GSX S750. I'm a little confused since it looks like the specs in the graph were talking about the 8S, not the S750.

Yea… I realized that going back to watch it. That’s what I get for spreading out the creation of this video over about 2 1/2 weeks… thanks for catching that, I’ll be more careful in the future for sure!

You forgot the Moto Guzzi V7 it’s a bike you can buy and keep forever. Classic Italian styling, enough power to not be bored, but not so much you have to worry about your license, low maintenance with a shaft drive.

Yeah, one of my current bikes has a shaft drive and it’s actually been kind of a pain to deal with. My Tiger 800 XRx has a chain drive and it’s been very simple to maintain. I’ll dev check out the V7, though, thanks for the suggestion!
