  • Hey Everyone,
    Today we are taking the prototype spoiler we were sent, and making a few changes. I want to redesign it so that it really flows with the car. Once we put our own spin on it, I think it will make a cool addition to the build. In this episode I wanted to share my general design approach that I think would be applicable to anyone trying to design their own custom aero. Design is something everyone should give a try at some point, experienced or not!

    This video has a good chance of being a hit. You made it easy to follow along with but also great to watch in someone’s spare time. Great job with this one!

    That's a massive improvement. I think that's going to look good when it's done. Definitely have to keep the lines of the original. The divot finishes off the spoiler. Keep it up.

    hey, i know this isn’t your b5s4 but i’ve been watching lots of your b5s4 content. it is excellent. the voice overs. the knowledge. the ambition you have to work on the vehicle, editing and music is perfect. you make great, informative videos. never give up. never stop making b5s4 content. thank you.

    That was a really good video, and I can't believe you were able to make a prototype that looked that good out of foamcore board and electrical tape! Can't wait to see the finished product from the manufaturer.

    Looks cool! I think it would look better if it flowed up from the backside of the stock spoiler and followed that line for angle like the first model did. This one looks like it flows straight back off the spoiler giving it more of a drag look instead of duckbill. Just my opinion. Good job though and good luck!👍

      Oh yeah that is a good point. Maybe we will have to try some other iterations too. The flowy style was definitely what I was going for for this one. Thanks for the idea!

      @@HunterDirection it does look really good though. Can we maybe get a wide shot of the whole car from across the street or a couple car lengths away, from the side, and kinda low?

      @@DustySteel oh absolutely! I was dealing with rain the second day so I didn't get many opportunities for broll or the model would get wet. I will post some photos of that on instagram for some more context for you. (Or I can email you some if that's easier) I made the spoiler exactly as long as the rear bumper is from the side profile.

      @@HunterDirection okay, that would be cool. I don’t have instagram. If you want to give me your email then I’ll email you.

    I noticed your side mirrors have a blue hue to them. Did you do this to reduce glare from those silly really bright white lights at night?

    • @HunterDirection
      @HunterDirection  Год назад +2

      The car actually came like that. But it does seem to be some sort of a glare film. I'll investigate further for you! Thanks for the support.
