Amen my friend, amen. It's a shame really. Seems one by one, authors, Christian artists, and pastors are renouncing their faith. But as we see this, God has saved people we thought would never be saved, like Kanye West, and Justin Beiber. We must continually be in prayer for these people, that they go through scripture and truly find Christ and repent of their sins.
The worst part is he got there because the band's founder left and he's still a strong Christian. Please look up Jason Dunn.
I can tell you why. A lot of the current and new Christian artists are all coming out of elevation and bethel and both of those churches are led by false teachers and heretics.
False doctrine always gets discovered but unfortunately there are people that when it gets exposed they can’t see the false statements made by individuals they just see the entire thing as false and walk away. Corrupted leaders will bring destruction to everything they are a part of

people who are having a hard time in their life, or if they're being put down verbally by a bully, they need to listen to this song because it signifies everything we need to hear. Every word I say comes from the mouth of God.

I was reading his words in Instagram, because when I realized that, it crushed my heart. He has the same questions I made 6 years ago, when I became an atheist. I left my faith, even my love to others eventually. God came to me a few days before my 26th birthday. I really didn't believe He was, but He gave me a lot of answers in just one day. Now, I'm a new man and started a relationship with Him. It's the difference between been religious and having a true relationship with the only God.

It is Hawk Nelson.....the new Hawk Nelson. All bands will change over time, change their sound, or even their members (like HN). But this will always be Hawk Nelson
Speaking of WORDS, I have seen a lot of negative comments on many of Hawk Nelson's videos about him not being a Christian anymore, and personally I don't think that's very Christian like. Let your words speak positivity. This individual made some amazing music, and even if he chose another path in life, that doesn't mean he is flawed. Jesus loves everybody and says come as you are. I think we all need to build each other up with words and prayer. I could be wrong though. Just a thought
This shows me how much words can effect a kid, adult, name it all. I have a friend who was called mean things, like "swearing" at him. I listened to this song and I wasn't afraid to stand up to them anymore. Ever since then my friend has been there for me. Use your words wisely, and not badly. God gave us a tongue for good!

While many have fallen away, the great thing about songs or sermons they made or books they wrote or interviews they did... God can use those things. They can be useful to other people and can be a reminder to those who God inspired that they themselves once knew the truth. People can lose their way but God will welcome the prodigal back home.

I read an interview with Jon, in 2012, when Jason decided to leave the band. Look what he said: "I really, really believe that God has a plan behind this, and I’m excited for the future things on the horizon". The Made album is one of this things! One of the best HN albuns! Maybe, the best!

1 person made a good point when he or she said this. Just because the lead singer turned away from Christianity doesn't mean that the song loses it's meaning. In fact it might enhance it because even though the lead singer turned away from Christianity God stills it talk to us.

I've had this song stuck in my head the entire day after hearing it on the car radio this morning. As a writer, I'm completely wrapped up in my words; I broke a little recently when I realised the words I was so wrapped up in were not things that could come from God's mouth. I'm on my way to fixing that, however... I'm praying God will guide me until the words coming from my quill pen are ones of life and truth. :) Thanks for this lovely song.

We don't need more of the "same sound" instead have what's different and made them "who they are today" their sound and message. Now it seems

You are both correct. It is Bart Millard of MercyMe singing. I would've liked to see him credited on this as well. The christian music station I listen to (KLTY-Dallas, Texas) has him credited when it shows on my radio who is singing what song. That's how I found out that it's him. loved this, sooooo true. isn't it amazing how you can hear something good or bad and it leaves a lasting impression. weather good or bad negative or uplifting. I always tell my kids. the old phrase that " sticks and stones may brake my bones but your words can never harm me" is not true. words can kill.

The beautiful woman at 1:20, Jennifer B. passed away last week after a long struggle with cancer. She was an amazing inspiration and she will be missed by many people. RIP Jennifer. We all love you!!

its still great music,still a great band, Just because a memeber decides to leave doesn't mean oh they aren't anything like they use to be, if you have been with them since the beginning you would know their have been atleast 3 other memebers that have left at various times before dunn, yes dunn was an amazing singer, but he's following a solo carrer and jonathn is doing a fantastic job taking over the vocals. proud to still be a fan will support yall no matter what.

Just saying I love inspirational Christian songs like this one. Like most people I need this song for my life cause I have used some words in the past that did not point the world to Jesus regretfully. Thanks to my savior and songs like this are changing me.

I listen to this song on KLove and the lyrics really stood out to me because after many of my conversations I would wonder... did my words bring life? Did I lift that person up? Or did I carry death in my tongue? This song inspired me to write out your lyrics as my prayer-- it encouraged me to pray for this area in my life. They -were- a party band. I grew up with them; I saw their phases, even the "WOW, they're Christian? I didn't know!" one. They're still amazing, with or without Jason. Chill, brah, life goes on.

While we do miss Jason, we had many wonderful years as him as the lead singer, but now it is time for these three to step forward and use their abilities for God in a bigger light. I love this band's new sound. Went from punk rock, to straight-up pop. So catchy. And for those complaining about missing the old sound of Hawk Nelson, you can still hear it. Former lead singer Jason Dunn will be releasing a solo album soon called "Abandon Progress." You can help fund it and he said the sound will be similar to that of the old Hawk Nelson! THIS BAND IS HAWK NELSON and the lead singer is Jon Steingard.
