Yes, IWC is clearly in a lower league than Chopard. With a shorter history, richemont ownership, and inferior non-inhouse movements and finishing (heck the ingenuer has the same movement as the B&M riviera which is 1/4 the price), IWC just isn't where it needs to be.

The Alpine Eagle is awesome. I didn't care that much for it until I tried it on the wrist. Much prefer it over its comparable models.

IWC is historically in another league than Chopard. The Ingénieur has true Genta heritage and was conceived as a real high end tool watch.
