I did the same the other games are garbage I’m a PlayStation guy but when I saw gears of war for the first time I needed to get an Xbox
Gears was the reason why I went from PlayStation to Xbox and never looked back.
Gears 3 will remain the best in my opinion , it’s still semi active as well so finding TDM lobbies isn’t too hard. Wish it made a resurgence since Gears 4 & 5 felt like flops from my point of view. Next Gears is the last chance for the Coalition to rake in old players again. I think the storyline should’ve been much different than what it turned out to be. Gears 3 had wrapped it up with a nice bow that should’ve been left alone for at least a couple decades. I’ve always wanted a Gears game from the average CoG soldiers perspective , kind of like what Halo did with ODST . It’ll feel nostalgic for the old players while being a fresh story new players can digest. Also the new enemies don’t feel like they belong, the Locust was amazing as an antagonist and Glowies felt just right as well without distracting from the main plot. The Swarm doesn’t convey its objective as the Locust did.
Anyway, hope to see great things for Gears , a much deserving franchise.
Would be good to get some Gears news but probably gonna have to wait longer. Only one way to find out though! Most likely if the game isn't out till 2026 then we probably won't get anything until 2025, it's sad but true
Gears peaked 1-3. They’ve been making bad games ever since. Most purchases are due to nostalgia and campaign noobs. People are getting older and this game is dead, they need to put some life in it ASAP.

I've been wanting a pendulum wars game for 10 years man. I really want a pendulum wars game like halo reach style, completely new characters and no mention of the main characters in the other games, Maybe have hoffman giving you orders or something like reach had dr halsey. but whatever they do i'll be happy

Would love a Gears of War Campaign DLC exploring the Origins of the Pendulum Wars, the COG & the UIR from the very beginning. If the Pendulum Wars was a 89 years global war conflict there must be some EPIC stories to tell in there!

No its never worked like that, it would be nice if The Coalition & Gears of War could announce on January 27th being the 10 years anniversary of Microsoft purchasing the Gears of War franchise from Epic Games to celebrate the anniversary and Gears fans can expect to hear whats next for the Gears of War franchise soon but what do I know lol
I'm really looking forward to what the new indiana jones game is gonna look like. I'm hoping it's in 3rd person as well.

Yeah as I mentioned in this video overally I didn't expect to see any Gears of War or The Coalition at this Xbox Developer Direct, its all on the Xbox Games Summer Showcase in early June so fingers crossed we get that Gears 6 teaser & Gears Collection confirmation!

Yep the exact words I said at 4:17 haha never get your hopes up then you can never be dissappointed! I am fully expecting Gears of War announcements in June though for the Xbox Games Summer Showcase!
I don’t expect to see anything gears of war related during the developer direct since last year they showed off exactly what they mentioned they would beforehand and said that their would been one unannounced game from tango so it was a big surprise for people when they showed off hi-fi rush since everyone was expecting it to be evil within 3 last year
June is definitely a good call. To me, I feel TC needs to regain some trust in the community after how Gears 5 launched and, in my opinion, a collection with dedicated servers would be the best way to do it.

I feel like it’s pretty unlikely that these remasters are in UE5. All the gears games up until gears 4 were developed in UE3, so they’d need to port and rewrite a considerable amount (if not all) code and assets for each game to be compatible with UE5. Doesn’t seem feasible.
I think the more realistic scenario is they do what they did with Gears 1 Ultimate edition and just rebuild things in UE3. Then they spend less time porting the game just to RUN in a new engine, and more time actually rebuilding the game.
It would of been nice if Gears 5 had more DLC content. Like im surprised some of the Gears 4 maps didnt make it into Gears 5. And they are the most similar in terms of how the game looks

Gears of War & The Coalition were never appearing at this Xbox Developer Direct as these events are based on games that have already been announced & games releasing in the same year which Gears of War is neither. The Coalition & Gears 6 will appear at the Xbox Developer Direct in early 2026 for the Gears 6 release year. Fingers crossed we get that Gears Collection confirmation & Gears 6 teaser at the Xbox Games Summer Showcase in June

Not really as mentioned in the video I stated to not get hopes up because both The Coalition & Gears of War wouldn't be making an appearence at this event. The Xbox Developer Directs are focused on games already announced previously and games releasing in the same year which Gears 6 is neither. I definitely have my hopes up for the Xbox Games Summer Showcase in 5 months at the start of June!

Typically Gears of War games get revealed 1 year before release so a 2026 release date for Gears 6 means a guarenteed official full trailer with gameplay, information & release date next year for 2025, however I do feel like both the Gears of War franchise & the Gears community deseperately need a new announcement this year at the Xbox Games Summer Showcase in early June so hopefully we get that Gears 6 teaser alongside a Gears Collection confirmation there!

At this point my expectations are so low for gears 6 im making prediction its gonna be garbage and nothing like the originals.
