    Hello William,
    An interesting project... I have to agree about turning between centers, something rather cool about it...
    Take care.

      Cool, thanks! Turning between centres is really fun, just like using a faceplate :)

    this video basically told me to make the 1" minnie, alongside the tina stationary and the sweet pea. cute dog.

      That is awesome, I love that design - but were it me I would go for something larger - it seems the Minnie is far enough along that you may as well build a 2" or 3" scale, particularly if you can buy final drive or wheels finished machined...

    Good fun project

    • @williamsworkshopuk
      @williamsworkshopuk  2 года назад +1

      Yeah definitely feels fun to me - maybe because the materials are cheap and the cost of failure in time is low, there's no stress at all..

      @@williamsworkshopuk yes I'm currently building a 2 inch scale fowler traction engine so yes cost for your project is minimal in comparison looking forward to see more

      @@carlweatherley4883 part of the justification for 2.5” gauge over 5” gauge locos too - exponentially less costly and so less stressful! We’ll see I guess!!

      I think there are about 60 pieces to this engine - and I've 'already' built 5 - so hopefully it will be quick and easy :)

    This sounds like a fun project and I am looking forward to this series. Those small parts look really difficult to make

    • @williamsworkshopuk
      @williamsworkshopuk  2 года назад

      Thanks matey, the project is fun so far and very low stress. The small parts are annoying I'll tell you that - but the balance is that if I make a mistake it's quick to rectify!
