I have a lot of appreciation for this song that I am having hard time expressing because it makes me so emotional. I guess focusing on the technical parts, I love how Yunho used different innotations for specific sections of song or lyrics. Like @4:24 how he takes a pause before saying 'carefully', which adds this feeling of unsureness that ties in with picture of walking on ice. idk the song feels full because of all this small details. It feels like a journey and a mantra. Beautiful
This song makes me emotional. I don't know how to feel coming directly here after ‘IT's You,’ haha. He's already written lyrics before, but I love that it's Yunho's composing debut! I think it definitely reflects on his own emotions. Yunho may have the least amount of single songs and covers, but he cherry-picks them with extra care. What a lot of people don't realise is that there must be quite a lot of pressure on people that prioritise everyone else's happiness. I can't imagine how it must feel to go through these hardships, as a group and singularly, and not only having to experience Mingi's absence, but also not be there for him they way Yunho might want to. All this while trying to ensure other members are happy at the same time. It's sweet that it's his priority, but he keeps his bottle of problems so tightly sealed that, as you mentioned, other members themselves are surprised when he reveals he isn't OK. They've all come so far and I'm so happy that this loveable giant has unsealed his bottle and is sharing his problems. I do have to admit, while every single member of ATEEZ has exceptional vocal talent, Yunho has such a special tone of voice to me. Alexa wanting a say in the background was hilarious! 10:21 - They're definitely underrated for their vocals. I always view their voices like I view the way they dance. Each member has an incredibly different sound. They can synchronise and also set themselves apart when they want to. It's incredible that still to this day, Atiny struggle to pinpoint who sings what in certain songs until the lives or MVs come out. At the same time, there are songs where you immediately know exactly who everyone is and can appreciate that their voices marry so well together despite being so different. I wouldn't say any one voice is like the other. Also, I'm counting this as part of the Christmas content given that it's a present.
Haha - yes, "IT's You" to "Be Alright" is quite a leap! 😆 We agree with your assessment that Yunho seems to take extra care when selecting his sings and covers. Each one is a treasure; a true work of art. And he puts so much heart into each and every one. Yunho is so multifaceted. We (especially Sabrina 🤭) love that both Coachella Yunho and "Be Alright" Yunho exist in this world, and that they are only two sides of Yunho! You are so right about how much pressure rests on those who prioritize the happiness of others. It can be exhausting and can lead to mental health issues. Yunho is so strong - and is such a source of strength for the other members - but it's also okay for him to admit when he's not okay. Sabrina agrees with you 100% about Yunho and his special tone of voice 😍 It is so versatile, yet distinct - wherever it sits! His performance on ATEEZ's cover of Bruno Mars' "Leave the Door Open" served as a turning point for him as Sabrina's bias. It came out of nowhere and had such an impact. We like your reasoning about this qualifying as Christmas content! Then again, anything with Yunho is a present to Sabrina ☺
I can't even say anything i'm just crying. But i really want to agree that Yunho's voice is SO beautiful and underrated
🥲🥲
