ATEEZ (에이티즈) Christmas Blessing Reaction
36:13 the wooyoung fill in the blank documentary And he had mukwooyoung his individual content was cooking based
That's so fun to watch with you ❤
as someone who speaks japanese, imo yunho and san are the members who are the most fluent in japanese. hongjoong and wooyoung are pretty good too! the other members from what i've seen know the basics and/or a few words and phrases but also a lot of jtiny (and j-kpop fans in general) know how to speak korean or at least know very basic korean since the two languages are very similar in terms of grammar and pronunciation (and therefore easy to learn) so i don't think communication is too much of an issue when it comes to interacting with jtiny btw all events in japan are done completely by lottery from either buying several entries from albums (for fansigns) or a one-time one-entry type application process (for concerts) for fansigns, the group autograph, individual autograph and send-off/high-five sessions are all separate sessions so you have to apply for these separately if you wanna attend several sessions so yea while we do get a lot of events and opportunities to see ateez here, they're extremely hard to get into 🥲
Thank you for sharing that information about Japanese and JTiny/J-kpop fans. We are big fans of language and find it so fascinating how the world opens up when you speak different languages. Also, thank you for explaining how the Japanese fan events are run. Another viewer had mentioned that the lottery system was quite frustrating, and your explanation really explains the frustration. We're still kicking ourselves for not getting tickets to see ATEEZ when they were at Coachella!
Thx for the reaction) actually, being jtiny is great until it's time for the ticketing as lottery system is just frustrating... but other than that there definitely are quite a lot of opportunities to meet them^ also, huge respect for jtinys since I've barely heard any stories of Ateez being followed/stalked in Japan.
Oh, what's the deal with the ticketing? Is it handled different in Japan? Agreed. We love how respectful Jtiny seem to be! And the guys clearly love going there, so that's a definite endorsement in our books. Well done, Jtiny 😘
@ATEEZxHallyuReviews-mz5tk In Japan for big concerts you should enter lottery, so whether you get the ticket is not up to you🙃 for example, when the ticketing starts, I enter my personal info and pay for a chance to participate in a lottery. One account means one lottery ticket. If I win, the seat will be selected randomly, and if I lose the money will be transferred back... when I first came to Japan from Europe it was such a shock haha
I'm also a little jealous of the Jtinys, but they really deserve this kind of treatment from Ateez, they are one of the most supportive and helpful atinys
Oh, agreed! We can be jealous, yet still support them 😁 We don't want anything to be taken from them!
I do wonder how they found the place Wooyoung was trapped in. Even in the light it's such a crazy mix of themes! Hongjoong and Yunho were hilarious during the fish sauce task - Yunho almost gagging after Hongjoong opened his drink. I'm just sorry Captain had to go to the hospital. What a terrible way to find out you have an allergy! 10:27 - Yunho and San cuddling, then Yunho putting him in a lock makes me think back to the ATEEZ x LieV pajama party! The guys in their pajamas, getting ready to sleep/falling asleep as is the case here. It also ends with Yunho putting a lock on Mingi and having to fight cuddle bug San. ([ENG SUB] 20190716 - [SPECIAL] [Full] ATEEZ X LieV - 에이티즈의 눕방라이브! - ruclips.net/video/wxDknH_YxLk/видео.html). It's what logbook 30 will focus on, so maybe it'll be fun to watch both close-together. There Wooyoung goes again, this time casually unzipping Mingi's trousers, haha. Jongho is a beast at these, so is San (just speeding to the top like that)! Yeosang has incredible upper body strength. While his lower body is also quite strong, he tends to work on his core and arms more. That's why ATEEZ joke that all his strength is in his hands. Poor Seonghwa. He always freezes when he gets to the top. It can take him a while to get down when he has to do something like this. The topic of height as an advantage or disadvantage with climbing is interesting. I'm not 100% sure, but my tall Dutch friend who does rock climbing explained it was dependent on the route/course. Some favour the tall, and some favour smaller climbers. Long limbs let you reach further. In that case, shorter climbers need stronger grip strength to pull themselves up. However, the taller you are, the more weight you have to carry, so smaller climbers have an advantage when it comes to areas where core matters. Thank you for these! Their TV series are never a miss. Also, only a few days now until I see ATEEZ. I'm super excited.
RIGHT?! We'd be curious to know more about that location. Like what purpose it serves, and is it frequented often? We adore these guys in "bedtime" mode. We have seen snippets of the LieV, but not the entire thing, so that will be fun to take a look at when we get to logbook #30. It makes sense that Yunho puts Mingi in an armlock in the LieV (Mingi is tickling him), but it seems surprising that he wrestles with San in this episode of Fever Road because San just seems to want to cuddle - or did we miss something? Maybe Yunho was just in a spicy mood 😆 We were JUST talking about starting the logbooks from the beginning this weekend with logbook #1! Sabrina just saw the members rock-climbing in another series, and the height question comes up again. It's so interesting to see when height is an advantage and when it's not. One thing is certain, the members of ATEEZ are quite proud of their Twin Towers. YES!!!! We were thinking about you as we have been seeing so much of the ATEEZ in Europe content in our feeds. We know you must be about to burst! We cannot wait to hear all about it 😘
HAHHA we will never know what SMB actually means haha Bang PD's producer tag is Hitman Bang soooooo XD HJ is not being too subtle haha but subtle enough. I think Hongjoong thought someone needed to step up and he did hahaha.
Pardon our laughter, but Sabrina found it SOOO funny that Shamra was so certain of SMB's meaning. 🤣 That's our captain!🤗
When people were asking KQ about the rumors if hongjoong was talking about (I forgot his name) KQ said “we have no official position on this matter”.
We loved their response. It was so perfect. Mad respect.
I 100% agree
I love the beginning topic of Hongjoong and Yunho - how they were the first in KQ and Hongjoong struggled for 6 months alone. They also have such a close relationship. The song ‘Sunrise’ from Treasure Ep. Fin: All To Action was written by Hongjoong about this very specific point in time. It's about him working hard not to give up and then one day finding this light (Yunho), and from that point he wasn't alone as more members joined after. It's why Yunho is the one he first interacts with during the choreo as well. Wooyoung can be so savage! His little kiss after saying “it's OK to be stupid.” Poor Sannie. I definitely feel like Wooyoung was taken to amp up the comedy of the episode. His voice can go really high or loud when he's scared/excited. It was sweet to see the staff member hold his hand through the entire trip though...until he got chucked out of the car! “7...no 6 makes 1 team!” An iconic moment. But Captain's face throughout all these tasks, Yeosang's constant embarrassment, everyone making faces at Yungi when Yunho's lips touch Mingi and Wooyoung hitting an elephant because it won't respond to his singing is hilarious. Also, Yunho and Seonghwa being cuddly during a task involving a sock is not something I thought I'd see! ATEEZ have now taught me better. Expect anything. This was such an amazing reaction, thank you! It was hard not to laugh!
We have heard that about the choreo for "Sunrise" and it is the SWEETEST thing! ATEEZ has such a unique story in K-pop, which is perhaps what has cemented their individual bonds with one another, and as a team. We can't wait to react to "Sunrise!" Wooyoung is SO savage! He can be a bit like a Sour Patch Kid - first he's sour, then he's sweet! His smiles are so genuine and infectious. All of the members are funny, but Wooyoung is in a league all of his own. His dramatics and fast-talking do us in every time. San's patience cannot be overrated 😆 This episode was hands down one of the best things we've ever seen - and for all of the reasons you mentioned! You are absolutely right in that it is iconic. It pops up in some many fan made videos about ATEEZ being funny or cringey.
@@ATEEZxHallyuReviews-mz5tk I love the comparison of Wooyoung to a Sour Patch kid! His humour is top-tier, and it just gets boosted by the way he speaks. San definitely has patience! When he's not sweet, Wooyoung is definitely trying to get under his skin.
@@shaneschutte7975 - Agreed!!
I miss Wanteez 🥰
You never knew what you were going to get! 😁
I found a new fav channel! I can't believe this channel is all ATEEZ! Love it!!
Awwww! You made our day!! 🥰🥰 We are on a journey - with the help of our viewers and fellow ATINY - to learn all that we can about our favorite K-pop group, ATEEZ. We are a viewer-led channel, so feel free to leave comments, ask/answer questions, make recommendations, and share our channel with others. Welcome to ATEEZ x Hallyu Reviews! 🤗
I remember watching this and rooting for san yeosang team to at the very least get on the board 😭
😆
So many ATINY were angry at how this was filmed! Hopefully it's not done on purpose. Let's be honest, ATEEZ has gone through far worse (like Inkigayo deleting a performance). Different shows have different ways of filming that aren't always the result of bias. The number of times a show zooms out on the good parts of any group is frustrating! I always love watching their dance practices. Also, that we've gotten so many renditions of 'Work' and its choreo is insane! There's so much additional work that goes into that. I hope they release these variations of the tracks at some point. The band version was phenomenal! Nothing is better than ATEEZ wearing these types of clothes. It's far more their own style as well. It was great to see Jongho upfront dancing too! Too many people forget that he's also a great dancer. ATEEZ individually are all phenomenal dancers and that each can do their own variant on a move shows how confident they are with one another. They can easily synch up though. I can see why some might prefer the aesthetic of everyone moving as one throughout, but I agree that a whole team doing the exact same thing becomes a little too mechanical. You can never quite tell what the weather is based on what they're wearing! The number of times we've seen half in warm clothes and the rest in tank tops is hilarious. That these tank tops are all exactly the same makes it funnier . KBS did something a little unique for the end of 2024. It not only increased the roster of award shows, but also decided to add a three-day festival on top of it. I'm not sure whether KBS will keep this going forwards or whether it was a one-off. ATEEZ performed this on day one of the festival. I think I recommended ATEEZ performing Sicko Mode as part of their ‘Port of Call’ online concert content, but the first time they did it for KCON NY in 2019 (ending 'Wave’ era) was unforgettable! Just in case I haven't linked it yet: [Special Stage] ATEEZ(에이티즈) - SICKO MODE (Skrillex Remix) KCON NY 190706 - ruclips.net/video/3ZkSOpQy2GI/видео.html
We had not heard that ATINY were angry about how this was filmed. Was that in reference to the dance practice or the actual performance? Agreed about watching ATEEZ dance practices, as well as the number of renditions of "Work!" It feels like a super special time to be ATINY 🥰😍 We do like these outfits - they do seem more in line with their personal style, for sure. Our SINGLE complaint is directed at the larger/puffier cold weather coats. They all look great, we just find it fascinating that some are dressed for snow, while others have t-shirts on 😆 Go Jongho...Go Jongho! Thanks for sharing the information about KBS's end of year lineup versus their norm. We'll take all of the performances!! And thank you for the Sicko Mode recommendation. We haven't seen either version, so we're very excited!
@@ATEEZxHallyuReviews-mz5tk I forgot to add the key factor: that it was the way the actual performance was shot, not the dance practice. In fact, all hail the dance practice for showing us the details that were cut! Sorry about that. They've always been good at changing things up, but it's never been to this degree. It definitely is an incredible time to be an ATINY. Them dancing to Sicko Mode is amazing! But there's a special place in my heart for the mash-up of songs they did for Port of Call.
@@shaneschutte7975 - thank you for clarifying!! We'll just have to watch both then. No skin off our noses! 🤗😆
I think it might just be an interview... 🤷🏾♀️ Also YES mingi in a turtleneck 😍😍
Oh really? Interesting. Mingi rocks a turtleneck like nobody's business! ❤🔥
I cant believe I haven't seen this video yet! And it was all in one take
It is SOOOOO impressive! We did this recording early in our obsession...er journey...with ATEEZ, but what we lacked in knowledge, we made up in enthusiasm. This performance is on Sabrina's CONSTANT video playlist. Legit, it's how we test our audio setup every single recording session. We've actually talked about reacting to it again for our 1-year anniversary of the channel ❤
ATEEZ and food will always be a hilarious combination! The things they'll do for food! No wonder though, the number of times they've almost lost out on meals! After this series, WANTED and Treasure Film, they've concocted many strategies, haha. I'm happy staff allowed them to do tasks for extras though. 8:18 - Seonghwa has got to have the best “I'm in pain” smile. They were not happy with how things were tuning out. Thankfully Jongho loves to gamble with their food (and it doesn't always backfire): “All or nothing.” It was mean to have Jongho complete his set of pushups though before telling him he did them wrong! KQ staff love to mess with ATEEZ as much as the members do. Yeosang's “our kid is tired now” was so sweet, but Wooyoung completely changed the vibe by saying Jongho will just have to do it again! At this point in time, San was one of the lightest members. Yeosang is also far stronger than he appears here. Yeosang gains muscle incredibly quickly and in the earlier stages KQ told him not to work out as much to prevent him from bulking up too much. They let the members do what they want now though. I always love to hear the little "hwah's” San and Wooyoung make when they eat. They're so expressive with their enjoyment of food, alongside Seonghwa! Scenes like these make me so hungry, but it's good to know they get well fed. KQ is mostly good about letting members look the way they want and eat what they want. Of course, they still need to realise they're performers and certain outfits are probably made in advance so you should still be able to fit comfortably. The strictest diets have, in fact, been set by members themselves, many times courtesy of being told they're too fat by viewers (someone had the audacity to tell Yunho on live a few days ago that he should stop eating as much. He's already lost so much weight! The look on his face - he was not impressed). Also, Yeosang trying to keep his head still while dancing so he can win food is one of my favourite moments this episode! Thank you again! Your reactions are always great to watch!
Agreed - these boys are SERIOUS about their food 😂 And the strategies they have devised over time are ingenious! We forget which tv show it is, but there is one where 7 of the members have to take marbles out of a jar and a blindfolded Yunho has to guess how many are left. Little hints are given - but not much! - and the 7 members removing the marbles (one member at a time) collectively leave 8 (it's actually 9, but Captain says something along the lines that they ended up with 1+ than their goal). Yunho guesses 9 and you can audibly hear how impressed the filming crew is with the members' telepathy. Who the HELL told Yunho he was too fat?! Seriously?! Must have been an absolute troll, because Yunho's body is YUNHO's body. We have commented our concern about how much weight Yunho has lost before, but realized later that if that's what he wants to do, then that should be his choice. Yunho deserves to be happy and healthy, whatever that looks like for him. The AUDACITY of some people. Poor Jimin of BTS frequently hears the same thing and it is infuriating. Those types of comments are way more indicative of the person saying them than of the person to whom they are being said 🤬
@@ATEEZxHallyuReviews-mz5tk Idols already have to go through so much that it's hard to see someone throw even more expectations their way. In the case of Yunho, he's said before that his schedule is sometimes so full that he either forgets to eat or can only fit in one meal. I feel he loves food far too much for his “not eating phases” not to be driven by fan pressure though. I do believe what he says, but I also think Yunho wouldn't outright tell fans that their words add on top of these factors. He didn't care about weight much until the creation of ‘The Real’ - Kingdom survival show era. That show hurt so many of the idols in different ways, not only because of the resultant fan wars, but their treatment on there as well. But that's when people started to liken Yunho's body with other idols his height, and noticed he wasn't, let's say, as slender. Unfortunately, Yunho and Wooyoung (two of the biggest foodies, alongside Seonghwa) have felt the brunt of the weight queries. What hurts more about the particular moment I referred to, was that alongside his promise to ATINY to be more open about how he feels, he also said he'd eat more. Which is amazing because Yunho tries to live up to his promises and has done both very well. His appetite has definitely increased. One of the larger reasons why he talks about food in his lives is to tell us what he ate that day! He was also talking about his one true love: abura soba. Double the betrayal from that person - I agree they must have been a troll! There was also the recent ice cream incident: www.tiktok.com/@tiny_rat99/video/7459052674525203717 The look on his face when people tell him these things! I will also fight anyone if they dare say anything to Wooyoung right now. I think he's losing weight because of his cholinergic urticaria and the stress around it. He had to sit out on January Japanese activities. He looks quite pale in some of the new logbooks.
@@shaneschutte7975 - We have heard terrible stories coming out of Kingdom - which is sad because it was such a cool concept. I guess it's the American in us, but to hear that Yunho is not considered slender - especially for his height - blows our minds. Americans (from virtually any racial heritage) tend to be larger versions of their non-American counterparts. (When Sabrina was doing her research for her review of "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo," she learned a lot about the weight of skeletons by race and nationality and it was incredibly interesting.) And Wooyoung, too! How insufferable!
@@ATEEZxHallyuReviews-mz5tk It's mind-boggling to me as well. It's always interesting to see how different cultures perceive things. Korean beauty standards are known for being incredibly high. Wow! I'm impressed by the research on skeletons!
@@shaneschutte7975 - And yet, if we've learned anything, it's that "standards" rarely fit everyone. Why can't people just be happy celebrating others?! We have an issue with body shaming, so we definitely put a lot of thought and consideration into our review for "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo." And it was worth it - we certainly learned a lot 🤭
Songwriter/ producer Mingi has my whole heart 😭💝
He's so wonderful and so complicated and we simply cannot get enough of him 😍
Yay thanks for the reaction.❤ This song did bring me closer to ateez and mainly Mingi. I also feel like with the light flickering shows how because they are stars they have to keep that light shining wheather it is smiling or not being able to just have a breather because of their work schedule. And how sometimes you just want to stop being in that hopeless light like he said is very scary and sad for all of them. I love the reaction and wooyong did release a cover 2 year ago by Etham - called 12 :45. It really showcased his beautiful light voice. ❤
Thank you for leaving your comment. We are glad you liked our reaction. This song felt particularly emotional to us and we agree - it definitely brought us closer to the group as a whole, and to Mingi. He has so many layers and each one is no less stunning than the next. We loved your interpretation of the flickering light! How scary and sad, indeed. 💔 Thank you for Wooyoung recommendation! We'd love to have a look at all 8 members individually, because after all, 8 makes 1 team 😍
Fever Road! Thank you for reacting to it. I haven't watched this series in a while. I have to say, I'm having not only fun seeing the reactions, but also seeing their variety of content again. If there's one thing I learned quickly about ATEEZ, it's that no matter how serious or humorous the content, whether it's their own, an interview or on a variety show, they're just fun to watch. The order in which they present the members for the lore section in this series was unusual though. I always wondered if there was greater significance to that. Their stress levels sky-rocketed every time that drum noise started! I would have freaked out if a drumming noise started during a bus ride and happened again at my destined location. It always boggles me how perceptive they can be! Some of the keys were hidden in very unusual places! It makes me think now about how when a camera is about, they immediately rev up their thinking power. There's a clip of Yunho hugging the members, and most immediately clock the camera and start wondering whether he's going to do some form of mission against them. The amount of times the staff have had them do missions against other members has made everyone paranoid, haha! Bless Mingi though for not spotting any keys. Also, poor Hongjoong getting embarrassed at doing the groupchant and delivering some magic phrases before he tried opening the door. Each episode had its own behind clip attached to it. Did you get to watch those as well? There's some hilarious footage. Like ATEEZ showcasing why they're not basketball players (except one who's naturally good at it). Then there's the birthday boy getting some...very odd gifts. Just imagine Jongho in a pink plastic kids chair getting an already opened packet of wet wipes from their dorm. Haha, Shamra's face when Sabrina said she hadn't watched Jumanji yet!
YES! Sometimes we can watch content from other groups and admittedly get a bit bored. It could be a cultural thing, as certain jokes or references are lost on us as born and raised Americans who only a couple of years into our hallyu obsession. But even if we don't always understand what is happening when watching, ATEEZ is ALWAYS entertaining. Good point about maybe there being more significance to the changed up order with the lore section...🤔 It's easy to forget - as viewers - that there are camera crews (or at least A cameraperson) - always present. It must be something they have learned to adapt to over time, but it is also a clear indication to them that something's up. The members being suspicious of Yunho's hugs with a camera present are hilarious. But Yunho's hugging challenge becomes extra amusing if you see the end of that challenge, where the members come back and act jealous that Yunho hugged all of the members and not just them. 😆 We have NOT seen the behind clips for "Fever Road," but we'd definitely love to. They have been recommended to us by other viewers, but we've been trying to find the right opportunity to dive back into them. This has been a challenge with all of the content out with "Golden Hour - Part 2" releasing, as well as the holidays. We are also hoping to get back to our WANTEEZ reactions this weekend, if possible. And yes, Shamra definitely seemed to be personally insulted that Sabrina had never seen the Robin Williams "Jumanji" 🤭
@@ATEEZxHallyuReviews-mz5tk I can't wait for the day where I can watch Korean content without the subtitles. These men are not giving anyone time to catch up with content! I can only imagine what your reaction schedule must look like! Haha, the clip where Yunho hugs members is hilarious on so many levels. I particularly love that Mingi walks off camera wondering out loud how people are behaving this way about Yunho's attention, when he's the one that's jealous most of the time. I agree that with a lot of other groups, the content can lull, especially with the language gap being present. The closest for me to ATEEZ in terms of being a consistent enjoyable watch is Dreamcatcher. They also have a penchant for just being themselves. They have a few episodes on Idol Radio when Hongjoong and Yunho were hosting and it's hilarious. Apparently they somewhat know each other through the production side of their music. Ollounder (who's one of the main producers of ATEEZ) is also one of the main producers of Dreamcatcher.
@@shaneschutte7975 - studying the language has definitely added an additional layer of excitement for us! They really aren't! And while we love the fact that there is always so much content to enjoy, we have definitely joked about quitting our day jobs and spending our days with hallyu 😁 Yes! The Yunho hug challenge is quite comical. And is it just us or were you left wondering if Mingi was being serious or not? How do you love all of our favorite groups?! We are total InSomnia 😍 Shamra actually got to see them when they came to DC recently. (Cue SUPER jealous Sabrina who was not able to make it 😭) Their appearances on Idol Radio were classic. Viewers have told us that they actually have a special connection with ATEEZ because - in addition to having Ollounder in common - they are seen as K-pop outsiders from small labels. Their variety content is a riot!
@@ATEEZxHallyuReviews-mz5tk We have another log! This time for the start of the European tour - France. They're not stopping! Mingi's very driven by how he feels in the moment. I think at that time, he was being serious about them overexaggerating. He's just that confident in his relationship with Yunho, especially now. Much like how it was a struggle for Yeosang, San and Wooyoung to figure out how their friendship would work around other people, Yunho and Mingi had to go through the same thing. Yunho tries to treat everyone equally, whereas Mingi can be biased but has been working on it (he's incredibly loyal to Yunho). There's a famous logbook where they may have been close to a fight because Yunho filmed something with Wooyoung instead of Mingi. In the 1N2D episodes in New York, Mingi does bring up their relationship (I won't specify what he says as it would make a great watch!). Yunho has definitely worked hard to try and find a balance since then. We have excellent taste in music! 🥰I got to see Dreamcatcher on tour last year in the UK! ‘Scream’ and ‘BOCA’ live are amazing! Hopefully you get to see them soon, Sabrina! They have struggled and continue to do so similarly to ATEEZ. It always vexes me that people can be looked down on for something as simple as being in a small company. That a group that has accolades like the Global Artist Award, Best Choice and Best Female K-Pop Idol (twice), only has four music show wins is unusual. Both groups seem to struggle regarding their unique sound in Korea, as well - Dreamcatcher even more so as their genre is more set-in-stone. They happen to both be very popular in the West though. I absolutely agree that their variety content is phenomenal! They have such a great blend of unique characters!
@@shaneschutte7975 - we saw the new log! We are so lucky to be fans of such a prolific and hardworking group. It was so tough to read Mingi in that moment, but we think you might be right. Talk about the irony, though! Your comparison of Yunho and Mingi to Yeosang, San, and Wooyoung - and your comment about how they all have to figure out how their relationships should work around other people - are incredibly insightful. That must certainly be tricky to balance. Bravo to them for being secure enough in themselves - and each other - to navigate it successfully. We really do! 🤭 So glad you got to see Dreamcatcher live - they are phenomenal! And dare we say, even better than expected?! We selfishly love that both ATEEZ and Dreamcatcher share a popularity in the West, but we definitely understand how that has to be tough for them. So far, we have only seen a handful of Dreamcatcher's variety content (we are overdue on our multi-stan channel!), but everything we have seen has been stellar.
My other comment was deleted 🥲 it was about telling you there is a lyric video out and the Genius translation was released the same day SMB dropped so thats how everyone knew what it was about.
Oh no! Did it have a link, maybe? We definitely didn't delete it! Thank you for sharing that information with us about how everyone knew about the lyrics to "SMB." We were so curious!
@ATEEZxHallyuReviews-mz5tk there was no link 🤷😂. The lyric video is in the same channel it was released either the day after or a few days after. I don't remember. How about another reaction but this time of the lyrics 🤣 jk if you guys want to.

We actually have the next WANTEEZ episode on our list for this weekend's recordings! We are excited to get back to it.
I still have no idea what SMB stands for but i love your interpretation girls 😆
We cannot take credit for it - we read that online 😆
1:23 - The chaos straight away. I didn't know whether to laugh or fondly sigh. The number of times an ATEEZ video has started this way is hilarious. What's funnier is Wooyoung thinking he can stop said choas. Hongjoong and Yeosang have to be one of my favourite duos! They're both incredibly smart, but their thinking process is so different, and you end up with one of them going into buffre mode as they try to work out how the other person got there. Yeosang is such an out of the box thinker and is so confident about what he thinks, even if it's against the norm. Them working on the ‘Ice On My Teeth’ chant was also amazing. Oh! We're going to have ‘Scene Value 1’ and ‘Ice on My Teeth’ for the tour. They removed ‘Turbulence’ though. I'm both very satisfied and a little upset, haha. I love both songs. San and Mingi can be...energetic together. Their lives when they were roomies for the 2019 Expedition Tour consisted mostly of sounds and jumping around the room. Mingi's probably one of the only people you'll hear San ask to calm down (he's normally the one being told that). They have such a soft relationship and work so well together. MVP duo was Yunho and Jongho though. They're so good at reading the room. Jongho in particular has a way of delivering words! Their item was most definitely dangerous for the heart! 11:52 - This blacked-out box tricked me! It certainly looks like there's nothing, but if I look back now, you could see the angles and back of the other boxes pretty well. I'm still impressed at Hongjoong guessing his item was a dumbbell. For such a sweet pairing, Seonghwa and Wooyoung aren't the greatest at games like this. What you'll come to find is that Seonghwa almost always loses and Wooyoung's penchant for saying words in exactly the way he thinks it (his fast stream of thought) doesn't help when he has to get descriptive. He'd rather rely on sounds to help describe. You have to see early Wooyoung describing moves! “You stomp, chaa, and with your head you go bash, forwards. Then woosh with your arms." 22:43 - Yunho has never been able to sit still. Fun fact: Apparently when he’s in a car with Seonghwa, the car shakes. Seonghwa similarly moves his legs a lot, but I think he has better control over his body and focuses more on the way he presents himself on content. Also, can we just take a moment to appreciate the way Yunho has to position his legs at 23:16 so he can sit the way he normally does, haha! I think in this case though, Yunho was definitely more fidgety than normal. I chalk it up to him being nervous for his ‘Steps to OZ’ solo that night. He revealed in his live afterwards that he was stressed about whether he delivered a great performance as he was feeling very unwell that day. Also, I think KQ's quickly trying to churn out the rest of their 2024 content through the logbooks. I'm definitely not complaining! I know you've talked about starting the logbooks from the beginning. I would recommend adding THE RECORD episode 2 so you start off at their actual debut date. Also, in advance, here's what would be in the first two logs. THE RECORD ep 2 - Practicing for and delivering their album showcase (where you show off the songs and choreo to select fans and the media - we often see the choreo of songs this way that never get promoted), seeing their music finally drop and them debuting (24 Oct, 2018). The subbed version of the episode: [ENG SUB] ATEEZ The Record Ep 2 - ruclips.net/video/YN7cAWngqGI/видео.html Logbook 1 - Them in the M Countdown waiting room for their official debut stage (25 Oct, 2018). Hongjoong ate. Odetari's beat was sick. I hope we get more behind of the recording form either.
💯!!
Before they preform Ice On My Teeth they played Scene 1 value and it’s like showing the members and because they added IOMT they removed turbulence so I think the only slow song is Everything
Oh wow! Thank you so much for sharing that with us! Where did you see them? What was your favorite moment?
@ oh I haven’t seen them I live in the US I’ve just been watching a lot of videos from twitter and TikTok. But I really love the new outfits they have!
@@watchingnyaa - Oh, okay. Their outfits are so awesome, aren't they?!
As much as we love our K-Pop favourites being together, they become adults with as much need for space as together time. I agree that it sways how fandoms perceive friendships. Seeing members on-screen in a daily capacity has more impact on how you think a relationship is versus stories of people spending time together but not seeing it. I want to preface that by no means do I think anyone has lost their way as friends. In fact, I think the video shows the opposite. It details how differently ATEEZ tackle topics and that they're perfectly capable of accepting and dealing with these varying styles. More specifically, that they worry and care. The main information I took from this is that the stress of 2024 stacked. This group, from a small company, has had to work hard in an industry that doesn't favour them. I think that's what Mingi means when he says he doesn't know how to better position the group for success. The breakthrough they've managed needs to be maintained, which sees individuals not just work hard for themselves, but for the group as well. They push harder thinking effort will see a bigger reward. While in some cases it's an unfortunate but necessary factor, ATEEZ haven't left themselves room to tell each other how they're doing. Being tiered from work is likely exacerbated by numerous factors. They're split into dorms, with most members separate from their comfort people. Increased solo work means even less time together. Anyone can be overseas at any given moment and they all de-stress in different ways. Numerous members have had to deal with harrowing events as well. Seonghwa lost two grandparents in the span of a few months and Wooyoung had to figure out what he can and can't do when performing, all while missing key events. When it comes to San and Mingi, they probably have more problems dealing with stress and seeing others deal with stress while not having a solution. That doesn't mean they're weak, just that they're more sensitive in nature and highly reliant on their emotions. Maybe it's because they're tired, and more likely to act themselves, that more people are realising how sensitive they truly are, and how different they come across on/off-camera. Hongjoong and Seonghwa: While Hongjoong presents as a tsundere (colder outside, but affectionate inside), his softer side leaks out more around Seonghwa. The latter has said numerous times that he takes care of Hongjoong. They share a trait of being action-orientated and read each other very well. They're that set of friends that don't often need words to express thoughts or feelings. Like Hongjoong buying a lego set for Seonghwa when he was grieving, handing it to him and then leaving. Their unique form of communication is why I think many viewers thought they were awkward at first. It's not their typical format. In this sense, I don't think the pair was suited for a video like this. Either way, they've had very different schedules given their fashion work. No wonder they didn't see each other as much. Your point about Hongjoong looking at Yunho during this conversation is a good one. Yunho has been cited as being an empath and when Hongjoong needs help on an emotional front, that's the member he seeks out. You see Yunho zero in on certain members across various videos as if he's reading their reactions. I think Hongjoong was trying to gauge whether he was on the right track by reading Yunho. That he's trying to broaden the way he reads emotions and how he himself emotes is great. It's exactly what he said he wanted to work on and Seonghwa's always so patient with him when it comes to that. Wooyoung and Jongho: While he's not good at putting words to his emotions, Jongho can be very dramatic in conversations like this. He dislikes stepping on people's toes so I wonder if weaving the scenario into a story of sorts helps give him time to think and converse about more heavier topics? It's also not the first time he's told a member to treat him like a younger brother if they say they view him as one (he told Mingi this during their 1N2D New York episodes). I don't think that part was intended to be taken literally until Wooyoung said he didn't care (the brat). That may have upset him. Wooyoung is intriguing in that, despite being one of the most open members, he doesn't quite formulate his thoughts before speaking, which can lead to misunderstandings. What Jongho might have been trying to stress was his concern for Wooyoung not telling people how he feels, especially now. Given how Wooyoung's normal openness, I can see why that could worry Jongho. Wooyoung pulling back on revealing feelings makes sense too though, and could just be part of how he's processing the situation. When you find out something negative like this, it's not easy to just share with the class, no matter how close you are. He's a vital key to their dancing - and he has to figure out how to make it all work under new constraints. I'm not only glad that Jongho brought it up, but also relieved and impressed that he tried to do so in a lighter fashion. Yunho and Mingi: This duo, as much as I would have loved to see them with other people, may have been necessary. What they're saying here probably isn't new to either of them, but this way Mingi's prepared in terms of what he wants to say and what the response might be. There's definitely still some remnants of dark feelings within Mingi, but I think he's processing things slowly. Mingi's always expressed his feelings outright, but I feel he's more straight-forward since hiatus. He's matured a lot when it comes to his views on work, but this has carried over into his personal life, something Yunho greatly dislikes. He seems to take life more seriously now. As a result, I think he's prone to missing out on enjoying the little things. What I'm proud of though, is him speaking up about Yunho. Mingi has always been caring, but he's tried to be more present for others since coming back. What we're seeing now is Mingi worry about how Yunho to handle things. We've heard how mentally strong Yunho is, but he's only more recently started sharing the things he normally bottles up. It didn't escape me that Yunho kept his cards close to his chest and tried to reassure Mingi instead. I think people worrying about Yunho gives him the same feeling as people complimenting him, in a way. This may have been why he was nervous through the conversation. That being said, Yunho never truly sits still. This push though definitely shows how more confident Mingi has become. Yeosang and San: Yeosang has really been addressing how he feels with San recently, and you can tell that it's bonding them. They're all friends to begin with, but Yeosang and San are very different when it comes to affection. I definitely feel that Yeosang is seeing something deeper and believes the words will help - and I think they do given that answering smile. Emotion and physical touch are incredibly important to San. I feel like he often has so much emotion that he doesn't know what to do with it. The accumulation of not only his stress and worries, but those of everyone else as well may have impacted him on a fundamental level. I think his emotions are catching up with him. I'm proud to see Yeosang conversing this openly about something he feels he may have done wrong. It also broke my heart a little to hear him talk about maybe not getting another chance to do a solo dance! He has so much talent and truly is the embodiment of hard work. I think I've said it before: Yeosang doesn't learn quickly, but he'll do the overtime to make sure he gets it perfect. This is something they've all said they admire, but I think for San, who himself had to work hard to grow his dance skills, there's possibly a little more admiration and it drives him forwards too. There are members with varying patience levels, but they've all said Yeosang just doesn't get angry at most situations. He has a very soft personality and I don't think I've really heard any stories about him upsetting anyone in terms of arguments (not counting being upset about how someone treats themselves, which I do, however, think is included among San's list of things he's upset about with each member). Thank you for all the clarifying and patience you both displayed with this video (you always do, but I viewed this as quite a serious video and you treated it as such). Despite how humorous this was in sections, they were also being quite vulnerable, whether it be through words or body language. Also, sorry that an essay ended up coming your way!
"[T]he stress of 2024 stacked" - 💯! We also agree that this format did not do them justice. You mentioned that the members are split into dorms, separated from their comfort people. It begs the question, do you know how those pairings were determined? All of the members seem to be very in touch with their emotions. It's really nice to see. Hongjoong's softer side being drawn out by Seonghwa is seriously one of the sweetest things. And that Yunho is an empath whom Hongjoong seeks out for guidance is quite touching. We have noticed that Jongho does tend to use stories to express himself. And that he was able to express such heartfelt concerns with Wooyoung was adorable. Wooyoung can definitely be a bit of an enigma/contradiction, at times, and it will be interesting to see how this interaction affects him. You bring up fair points about Mingi and Yunho. Sabrina's uneasiness remains, but we will continue to mull over what you have shared. Prior to this year's fortune teller episode, the Yeosang and San pairing would have been the most surprising to us. It was so heartwarming and gave us all the feels. No apologies about the "essay!" We thoroughly loved it. You shared many astute observations and were able to provide a lot of backstory that we might not be as familiar with as relatively baby ATINY. Nothin' but love for ya! 😘🤗
@@ATEEZxHallyuReviews-mz5tk Not including series content, how they're split up for rooms, whether on tour or in dorms, has always been decided by the ladder game. Of the big friendship pairings, only MATZ have ever roomed together (in their shared dorm). Yeosang, Wooyoung and Jongho got to room together for a small period of time as well. I completely understand feeling uneasy with how that video went. At the end of the day, Yunho wouldn't be acting so serious about matters if he felt Mingi was 100% OK. It's nice to see though that people are at least keeping an eye on matters, not only with him but for others as well. There's probably much we didn't get to see either. Other members seem to be teleporting every so often to another seat next to someone and then back again. That's the indication of editing. I'm still impressed they shared as much as they did though. 🤗 What I would have loved to see was Hongjoong and Jongho, Seonghwa and Wooyoung, Yunho and Yeosang and San and Mingi. Also, when they referred to meeting up more, I think they meant in a similar discussion format as they used to do this very regularly at the start of their careers. It was heart-warming to see MATZ took their talk about less time together to heart. They finally went on a little trip together in the midst of touring.
@@shaneschutte7975 - the ladder game seems fair, but may not work as group dynamics shift. It would be interesting to see if that ever changes. Yes, editing is definitely a factor that we cannot know how it shaped the final video. We always wonder how, why, and when members move. It may be as simple as a break is taken and the members trickle back in and end up in different seats because conversations that are struck up during the break. But it seems interesting that the filming crews - for the sake of consistency - would not have the members return to the same seats before filming resumes. Sabrina always says she'd love to just sit in the corner of the room and observe 🤔
After a busy month I'm now in relax mode with a week off! It's freezing here, but I'm wrapped in blankets with some gluhwein. I purposely have some lights and tinsel out so I can still experience the festive atmosphere as I go through the Christmas content! I have the ATEEZ playlist playing in the background too as it's so soothing (ATEEZ(에이티즈) Playlist | 즐거운 추석을 위한 플레이리스트🚙- ruclips.net/video/Ej82NcCaois/видео.html). It's a playlist ATEEZ members made for Atiny and it tells you who recommended each song at the bottom. Another ANEWZ episode! The last one was around 5 months ago? Even longer before that. I understand they're busier now, but their personal content was always fun to see. Hongjoong, Yunho and Jongho still delve into their respective content every now and then but the rest have mostly moved on to focus on other things. Those little reindeer ears! I find it fascinating how they can be any combination of cute, boyish, sexy, mature or handsome at one time. Perhaps my bias is showing, but these men are all genuinely good looking, little reindeer ears and Santa hats included. 2:34 - Their reactions to their own content is always hilarious. It's a mix between praise, embarrassment for each other and telling themselves off for doing things. Seonghwa's repeated “Stop that!” at himself in the video makes my day. 4:43 + 5:04 - Learning about soccer words in Korean? That sounds intriguing! I'm still trying to figure out what the big sports are there (each country or culture tends to gravitate towards something). Jongho was on a soccer team before joining ATEEZ and he still regularly plays. His family is full of athletes and he's at least tried most sports. Mingi is the other massive soccer fan and Hongjoong used to be a goalie. I'll try to find it, but he was even part of a variety show's soccer game where they combined football players with idols for a match. I do think they all play or have played to some degree in school and when on break though. We've seen them playing soccer with staff in varying countries. I think the logbooks have a few of those moments captured. Also, one of their favourite video games to play together is FIFA. We've also been privy to clips of ATEEZ vs the managers in the dorm rooms. 9:37 - So proud of our Sannie for winning that award! He's come such a long way! There was a time he was crying because he wasn't allowed to perform a BTS dance for their evaluations with other trainees. He wasn't deemed good enough to perform it (back then their dance training sessions were split into advanced and beginner). He came so close to quitting. I'm glad he persevered, though I can't imagine how difficult it must have been to have to play catch up and miss out on what everyone else got to learn. It's great that his efforts are now recognised. I love how chaotically supportive they are as well. You could tell San was happy about the reactions. The awards were held in Seoul. 12:10 - Mingi and Yunho dancing to 'Emergency' is... yes. As much as Yunho does for Mingi, Mingi opens Yunho up in a completely different way. I'm so happy you didn't enter your journey during Mingi's hiatus. The difference between Yunho without Mingi and the Yunho with Mingi is very different. He didn't shy away as much from being a little sexy when he was younger, though he's always been modest about the way he dresses. That slightly got sucked away when Mingi left. He became far more reserved and almost matured a little too quickly for his age. I think this is really when Yunho developed the on/off switch to his energy. When Mingi came back, he got his confidence back in a way and has not only been opening up more to being sexier, for example, but also being a little more open to the way he dresses. This particular clip would not have taken place earlier. Yeosang's “meow, meow” was funny, as well as Seonghwa fixing the position of the mic so the logo would show! Then there's the betrayal on San's face when Wooyoung blew the candle on his cake! I loved this video so much. It was a great wrap-up of the year. KQ editors were on top of things as usual too.
Your description of your environment while reacting to the Christmas content was adorable and greatly appreciated🎄 Especially as we are currently dealing with what we refer to as the yucky stage of winter where we are - post-Christmas, cold temps, no snow 🤢 Thank you for letting us know about the ATEEZ playlist! We may or may not be listening to it now...🙃 A combination of cute, boyish, sexy, mature, or handsome at the SAME time = ATEEZ! Our bias concurs with your bias! If K-dramas are to be believed, the predominant favorite sport in Korea is soccer. Obviously, all of the ISAC sports are also important, but soccer tends to be the one we have seen most often in modern K-dramas. San was positively beaming with pride over the members' reactions. The praise was well-deserved! It's heartbreaking to think that he almost quit. 💔 Thank you so much for sharing about how Mingi's hiatus affected Yunho. People often talk about the hiatus from Mingi's perspective, so it's interesting to consider it from the perspective of the one who was left behind. In our relatively short time as ATINY, it has already become apparent that Yunho - pre, during, and post - Mingi's hiatus is quite different, that the two members are heavily affected by each other, and that they seem happier when they are together. Again, it's not a romantic thing (for us), but rather, a soulmate thing. Simply put, you can FEEL their connection. We agree - this was the perfect end of year video - and a nice contrast to the more serious videos they released at New Years.
@@ATEEZxHallyuReviews-mz5tk Cold with no snow or rain is the worst! I just love the smell of rain and the look of snow. Cold is just horrible by itself. I hope this changes for you soon! There better be snow or more heat! Fingers crossed! Also, what do you think of the playlist? Thank you so much for letting me know about soccer! The range of sports ATEEZ love is quite big and the nation overall seems to like quite a few things too so I was never able to fully pinpoint the favourite. You definitely can feel Yungi's connection. I guess it's why Mingi's mum asked him whether they were dating pre-debut. Whatever relationship they truly may have, it's beautiful. To be honest, that you can put any pair of ATEEZ together and see how much they mean to one another is heart-warming. While they haven't known each other for as long, you can immediately tell how close and comfortable San and Wooyoung are with one another.
@@shaneschutte7975 - Where we live (in the southeast of the US) it will likely be cold until mid-March. We may have some more snow, but it will likely be in little spurts and melt quickly. We do have bits of snow still on the ground, but only in the shade 😆 We have not had a chance to discuss the playlist, but Sabrina loved it! There were definitely a few surprises, but it was so fun to consider that this is what the members are listening to. We once heard Hongjoong say that he loves Sabrina Carpenter's "Espresso" and now we cannot help but think of him every time we hear it 🥰 We could be wrong about Korea's love for soccer. This is just an opinion deduced from our K-drama experience 🤭 And we totally agree with you about the connection the members of ATEEZ have with one another. From our experience/research, the members seem to be genuinely close, and that looks different for each pairing. This is a testament to how much these members give of themselves for the group - and each other. We are particularly moved by the Yungi relationship, but this can easily be applied to any relationship in ATEEZ.
@@ATEEZxHallyuReviews-mz5tk The Netherlands is in its "temperamental weather" phase (where I currently am). It has a cold base layer, but it's sunny, then it rains, then there's snow, it rains some more and then it's warm. When we all take our jackets off the weather man laughs in our faces and throws snow our way just to time us and see how quickly the jackets come back on. I'm interested to hear who's taste in music may have surprised you the most! Sadly, there were some all time ATEEZ favourites missing from the list, but I get that they may have been trying to share more of the Korean music they listen to. Hongjoong is not only a Sabrina fan, but also a massive Camila Cabello and David Bowie fanboy. He and Seonghwa are also massive Swifties. Yeosang is obsessed with Alan Walker and Yunho is in love with The Script, in particular the song "The Man Who Can't Be Moved." San and Jongho both adore Bruno Mars, while Wooyoung and Mingi go inbetween favourites quite often. So many people have noticed something different about Mingi and San lately, and it's curious how they are the same members Ateez say are the most different on and off camera, one in a positive way and the other in a negative way. Positive way: Mingi. Yunho says he fells SORRY for us because we'll never get to see how cute, sweet and funny Mingi really is. Ateez agree that Mingi is one of the cutest and funniest members and call him a baby. San said that when something sweet happens there's usually Mingi behind it, but they only find out days/weeks later because Mingi doesn't like to draw attention to his good actions. All of Ateez joke that Mingi raised Jongho (Wooyoing in particular loves to blame Mingi any time Jongho misbehaves). Yeosang said Mingi has been taking him on a lot of dates (his word) where he organizes everything and Yeo gets to just relax, eat and enjoy himself. Seonghwa is sweetness personified yet he said that it's Mingi who has the warmest heart in all of Ateez and that "Mingi always takes care of my meals. He's a really good friend". Mingi indeed seems to care about the people around him a lot, asking Atiny all the time if they've eaten and ordering food for them at events that go on for too long. According to Ateez he also takes extreme care of the staff and dancers, always making sure they're well-fed and happy. They also said he changes his voice around them to sound less intimidating 🥲 Lots of Atiny are perplexed by the nickname Princess Minki when they first get into Ateez because Mingi looks and acts like this super cool, aggressive rapper. But the more you get to know him and the team dynamic, the more you realize how accurate the nickname is lol he even proudly said that "my mom raised me like a princess". In a county like South Korea, where toxic masculinity is very common, especially among celebrities, Mingi with his Princess tiaras and bows and calling pink things "heart colored" is a breath of fresh air. Some of us even consider him the unofficial maknae now because of how sweet and adorable he is... and yet Yunho thinks we have see nothing yet! Can you imagine how sweet Mingi must REALLY be? But on camera he puts on a cool, unaffected, almost cold persona... and 99% of the time it all ends up in laughter and teasing because Mingi is just NOT like that, he's actually super goofy. But he feels the need to hide his true self, and Yunho hates that. Since he came back from hiatus, Mingi has changed. He has put up walls between himself an the rest of the world. Only Ateez are welcomed in. BUT. He's also matured. I get the feeling that unlike his pre-hiatus self, Mingi is now the one to call the shots. He's the one deciding who gets to see what side of him, for how long, under what circumstances. He doesn't let the staff tell him what to do or say anymore (like the infamous "I cannot Englishi" line, the staff told him to say something funny and he hated it and wishes Atiny would forget about it... but most of the fandom reference it all the time 🙃) Mingi is more somber since coming back. But he's also more confident in the decisions he's making. Negative way: San. On camera he's energetic, pouty, whiny, a bit timid at times. Off camera he's apparently "crazy" and gets angry easily. I guess volatile would be a good term for it. This might sound crazy but I think that San's on-camera persona imitates Mingi's real self off camera. Not on purpose/consciously, not because San is fake, but just by virtue of San and Mingi being so close. San probably admires Mingi's true character and subconsciously tries to emulate it. (Meanwhile Mingi feels like his true self is not good enough and pretends to be cold and untouchable) I still remember that live they did after debut when they first shared with us that San is crazy and angry off camera. How Mingi stopped mid-sentence and looked at the door because San had walked in. How Seonghwa, Hongjoong and Yunho looked slightly panicked because they'd all been making comments about San (not only about him, but about all of Ateez). Mingi just smiled because man's a sweetheart and doesn't take these things too seriously, but the others did look a bit nervous. San had been watching the live somewhere else and decided to intervene before they said too much. It all went down in a FUNNY way, nothing serious! But it's clear that Ateez are careful about upsetting San. Absolutely NOT because they are scared of him. But because San feels emotions very strongly and the others don't want him to suffer, especially if it's because of them. Another member that's kind of different in private is Hongjoong, who's apparently even more of a workaholic than he appears on video. He's very single-minded and even "cold" while he's working (Xikers even joked that they were scared of producer Hongjoong). He is very guarded and does not trust people easily. We've seen the behind the scenes as he was writing Matz with Seonghwa, how sweet, encouraging and emotional he was, but 1) he was on camera, and 2)... he was with Seonghwa lol who always seems able to bring out the softer side of him (Seonghwa even said that when they are all together, Hongjoong tries to be the cool, responsible Captain, but when it's just the two of them Hongjoong gets whiny and "very human" and craves attention) I think that all of Ateez feel the pressure of living their life in front of a camera almost 24/7, and they try to cope however they can. In public they put on masks, in private they deal with strong emotions.
Wow! Thank you so much for sharing your wealth of knowledge with us! 🥰😍😘 It is quite interesting that ATINY seem to be noticing a change in Mingi and San. We have to agree with Yunho - it sucks that ATINY doesn't get to see the real Mingi. On this channel, we appreciate the duality between what we refer to as "Fix On Mingi/Princess Minki." But it's a shame that Mingi felt he had to appear cool and aloof. That is SO interesting about San. We'll definitely be on the watch for that live! We love that the members can be their true selves around each other - especially Mingi around Yunho and Captain around Seonghwa. ❤
This whole comment about San is made up, based on assumptions, it's obvious OP has a bias.
About the comment during the live one is was years ago ,things change Two, it was a natural reaction they were talking about San behind his back , no one would appreciate that.
Not you lying about San offscreen personality to uplift mingi, Everyone who has interacted with san offscreen have always praised him for his manners, softness, you basing this off one instance where san walks in on members backtracking about him. I hate how Atinys make up own narratives without proof.
@@ATEEZxHallyuReviews-mz5tk this person has lied about San ,please do not believe everything you read, it's so frustrating, san is not volatile or angry offscreen
I'm a little sad that Ateez's contract with Nacific has ended. They treated our boys so well and also gave us so many cute and beautiful pcs of them 🤗
AGREED!! We did an opening to their Nacific 2024 Memory Book this weekend and couldn't agree more. 😍
1:48 - Captain is so impressive. He's a little like Mingi, to a lesser degree, in that he can quickly overcome something if he has to, especially if he doesn't have to look down when it's height-related. I think this height is definitely preferable to when he had to bungee jump pre-debut. Hongjoong actually negotiated with Dingo so he can have certain members jump, but he had to promise to jump in return. But I also feel Hongjoong as a person has grown more afraid of certain things as he aged. I don't think heights were as big of a thing for him then. That's pretty normal though, we tend to accumulate things we're scared of as we grow. I can only applaud how professional he is about standing on a slanted platform though! San in glasses! He pulls them off so well! Also, Seonghwa's scream was so impactful! 4:08 - I agree that Seonghwa's jacket change may have just been to mark a transition. These solos were absolutely amazing. A shoutout to Yeosang as well! He was feeling so nervous about his section as he doesn't normally get a chance to do solo dancing. He nailed it. 7:50 - The dress rehearsal came two days after, on the day of the MMA itself. This must have been an incredibly long day! In terms of the canon, they may have been trying to get through as many acts as possible by not having to clean in-between. It just shows how often they've been present around such noises though because Yunho doesn't flinch when it goes off during the real performance. My reaction would have been very unsuited for an idol, haha. 9:46 - Yunho and these dance challenges are insane. I love that he can't help but be a dance captain by counting the steps out loud. It's very different compared to how, for example, you see Wooyoung or Mingi teach the challenge to others. It reminds me of back in the day when they did dance tutorials for their songs. You'd always have Yunho, but sometimes Wooyoung or Mingi would take over sections. Let's just say Wooyoung makes a lot of sounds when he teaches. It's hilarious to see! 16:26 - It was quite frustrating as an Atiny to guess where they'd have to end their songs early days. At least we had the showcase that would show us everything in full. Most of the time they were allowed to get past the 3min mark, but from there it varies. It could be anything from 3:10-3:20. Mind you, most of their songs range around 3:30-4:00 in length so these were such random points to stop at. Nothing beat hearing ‘Treasure’ for the first time outside of the showcase and having it stop at 1:29. HALA HALA once got cut to 1:17 as well. It was quite sad to see given that they didn't have enough money to perform constantly throughout the week. It would mostly be once or twice a week. Sometimes they had to skip a wee. Unfortunately, as much as people don't want to believe it. Top company bias is very much real. It doesn't mean those groups don't also work hard, just that they're rewarded for their work far quicker. They definitely value performing. They still go busking, they've danced on the streets, they perform in locations that aren't as fabulous, etc. What sets them apart from other groups, I think, is the energy they have; between each other, their different styles of dancing and expressions, and energy levels as a whole. Pair it with their penchant for dramatics and it becomes something I don't think is easy to replicate. I'm so glad that the both of you stumbled upon ATEEZ. Not only because they deserve recognition for their hard work, but because I also got introduced to your lovely content through them. Keep up the amazing work, but always prioritise yourselves! Thank you for sharing your wonderful journey with us! 🥰
This whole performance was so amazing. Every member slayed! You are definitely correct in that fears become more pronounced as you age. Performing at that height must have been so difficult for Hongjoong, yet there is no indication that it was. To be fair, he plays guitar from a high position during the Will to Power Tour, but something he does so often likely feels more safe and familiar to him. Your logic about the confetti canon makes sense. Thanks for explaining that! "I love that [Yunho] can't help but be a dance captain by counting the steps out loud" - how adorable! We are so accustomed to hearing him count out loud while working on choreo that it didn't even dawn us that he didn't have to in this situation. (Also, he looks so darn handsome doing it!) Having performances cut short during their early days must have been SO frustrating for both ATEEZ and ATINY. Boo. We are so glad that ATEEZ is finally getting the recognition that they justly deserve. You are so right, they are definitely not easy to replicate 😍 And thank you for making our night 🥰🥰 We are so grateful that you have joined us on this journey!
4:20 - Is from the 1N2D show they were on. They have quite a few episodes on there, which all comprise of two parts. The staff of the show and ATEEZ have such wholesome interactions. It's definitely a must watch. I'd recommend going from the beginning to see how the interactions and hilarious subtitles by the editing team change. Here's the first ([EN/JP] EP.6-1 에이티즈 1탄 | 냅둬 쟤네 ATEEZ래😎 우승보단 분량에 욕심 있는 해적 다들 어때? l 돌박이일 ATEEZ in 평택 [4K] - ruclips.net/video/WpZAEw23VfY/видео.html) and second episode ([EN/JP]Endless blessing from winter rabbit ATEEZ.. l Idol 1N2D EP.6-2 ATEEZ in Pyeongtaek EP.2 [4K] - ruclips.net/video/e0a6XmGkV18/видео.html). 5:23 - Seonghwa feeding them all: Him waiting to see whether everyone has food before eating shows how close they are as a team. I may have it wrong, but I think the oldest is actually supposed to eat first. Also, Jongho smashing a watermelon with his fist in one go will never not be impressive! Their personalities, how they take care of each other, the elements they bring to the table, etc, mesh so well together. That they're all so entwined, even pre-debut is something I haven't really heard of. They really do seem like a group that was meant to be. It's terrible that people are giving you a hard time about the ships. I guess the word “ship” leans towards a romantic side, but you refer to the members with their pair names. Those names have nothing to do with romance. It's how they're officially called when they're together. Either way, you've never used such paring names in a romance context on either channels. Some people just perceive something one way and don't ask or find out more before typing/speaking. Ignore them!
Thank you for sharing the information and links for the 1N2D context! That little clip at 4:20 is enough to intrigue us, so we'll definitely add these to our MUST WATCH list. Seonghwa is such an absolute sweetheart. Our hearts will never not think that. And you are 100% right - the eldest is supposed to eat first. San is particularly known for upholding that standard, even outside of the group. Jongho and his ability to smash fruit is insane. His strength is no joke! We cannot agree with you enough about ATEEZ seeming like a group that was meant to be. Their chemistry - on and off stage - feels so genuine, as does their love for one another. They'll be the first to jokingly throw each other under the bus (some more than others...we're looking at you Captain), but they will move heaven and earth to help one of their members. It's one of the things we love the most about ATEEZ. And thanks so much for your words of wisdom about the "ships." We never mean to imply a romantic connection - though also strongly support another's right to do just that. There certainly seems to be a common acceptance - and even intentional feeding into - of romantic ships in k-pop. We have talked about this at great length with some of our ELF viewers on our multi-stan channel. But as for us, we definitely see the relationships in ATEEZ as adorable and endearing friendships...soulmates even, particularly with Yungi 😉
@@ATEEZxHallyuReviews-mz5tk ELF are for Super Junior, right? I always thought the name was cute, both the full name and its acronym. I do admit though that I don't know all too much beyond that. I love that they're so open about these conversations! I want to delve more into the other side of your content too! There's definitely an element of idols playing into certain "ships," but I do feel you still need some form of chemistry between two people to pull it off. In that sense there's an element of realism, but I think in any fandom you have people that delve a little too far into shipping, and those that try to prevent others from mentioning it in general. The latter tend to fixate on the word "shipping" and ignore the rest of the sentence. I'm also quite open about the pairings, but I do bombastic side-eye people a little when they take it too far over the line. For example, when one of the idols in question tells you to stop, they mean stop. Let me know if the linking format is working and preferred. I added both the title and link just in case. 🤗
@@shaneschutte7975 - Yes! Everlasting Friend - or ELF - is the fandom for the second gen group, SUPER JUNIOR. They are an amazing fandom - and k-pop group. SUPER JUNIOR's music isn't very similar to ATEEZ's, but they do explore lots of different genres. We did a concert reaction to their SS7 (SUPER SHOW 7) - ruclips.net/p/PLZWjCkPEAgb6zmgvBVhAy0z5gA1gSTTC4 - that might be a fun place to start. @@ATEEZxHallyuReviews-mz5tk Thank you so much for the kind words and the SUPER JUNIOR starting point! I'm definitely going to be checking those out!
@@shaneschutte7975 - we can't wait to hear what you think about SUPER JUNIOR!
I'd like to point out that kpop idols have on camera persona. Unlike many groups, Ateez tend to have specific famous ships that have Atinys feel excited about and generally, the boys will play on to them to make fans happy. Do I think they're very close off camera? Yes. But to be completely confident about their offcamera bonds based on their on-camera shipped dynamic is a bit far stretched. We don't know how right or wrong this fortune teller was, but it's definitely entertaining to watch.
Fair enough. Though on-camera personas are nothing more than masks, and masks can/do slip in certain situations/conditions.

I also saw the shift in ateez with how emotional they were and how more mature they seemed. As someone who does deal with depression I just hope Mingi does not feel stuck or lost and alone like he did in his hiatus. I would love to see your reactions to Mingi's solo song "Untitled"where he talks about his emotions. It made me cry 😢Loved the reaction I'm a new fan of you guys.
We are so sorry to hear that you have had to deal with depression 💔 We hope you had a support during that time. You are totally right - it's easy to feel stuck, lost, and alone when suffering from depression. We are so grateful that Mingi seems surrounded by those who genuinely love and support him. And welcome to our channel! We are honored that you are joining us on our journey to learn all that we can about this awesome group. Thank you for the recommendation! We would love to take a look at it. 😘
This is such a special song, for the fandom, personally and for the ATEEZ members themselves. I love that they went with a more personal feel for the MV. It made the song hit that much harder. The filters were hilarious. I love how only set members used them, and gravitated towards certain ones. Like Seonghwa and the blue birds and Yeosang and his hearts. Then you have Hongjoong and Mingi showing as a full screen of random ones. Sannie can't sit down or stop moving and Yunho and his love of props showcased their vibes perfectly. Wooyoung and Jongho were going for the cooler and more chill vibe. 1:57 - This mic is not big enough for Yunho! 7:28 - It's happened a few times where a member has said someone recording before them did such a good job with the vibe/tone that they all tried to match it. ‘Ice On My Teeth’ was the latest one members talked about. Them being super busy, I think, is in part why they might be more restrained in recent videos. Not only do they have group projects, they also have solo ones. This often means members may not be in the same country. I think 2024 has been a year where their ships have passed each other quite a lot. There's less personal time to hang out together. With stress from an industry that has it in for you, not being able to be with your comfort zones more often and have that quality time, as well as a possible lack of sleep, what we could be seeing is them at the peak of tiredness. Thank you so much for the reaction!
We've said it a million times, but "Enough" might be Sabrina's favorite song off of "Golden Hour - Part 2." It has an amazing vibe, uplifting lyrics, and incredible harmonies. We are so glad that they made a Special Clip for it! We did not realize how small Yunho's mic was, but now not we cannot unsee it 😂 Is it a prop mic or are his hands just that big? ATEEZ's approach to recording is so unique - to us, at least - and really suits them. They are not afraid to change up their sound or try something different. Not only does it add variety to their discography, but it also builds the tension before each comeback, since we never know what we're going to get - other than greatness, of course! We loved your insights into the impact of ATEEZ's 2024 schedule. We discussed this at length in our reaction to their 2025 New Year's Greetings. We really went into a deep dive about their schedules - both as a group and as individuals, the content of the questions and responses, the format and pairings of the interviews, and what we took away from the members' body language. In fact, we talked about it at such great length that we had to cut about 20 minutes out of our reaction!! Have you seen it? We are looking forward to hearing your thoughts about it.
@@ATEEZxHallyuReviews-mz5tk I wouldn't put it past it being Yunho's hand size. When they measured it live, it came out at 21cm. I think that's around 8.26 inches? His mic isn't wired like Seonghwa's is, but there does seem to be a plug at the end of it. He's using the same one as Wooyoung. I think these are all mics, but there are two different ones being used between the members. Because it's not plugged in, it's a little smaller, but the difference between Wooyoung and Yunho holding the same mic is insane! Agreed! That they change their sound each time keeps things refreshing and showcases what they can do. I always viewed it as ATEEZ not having a distinct genre, but having a distinct flavour. I haven't seen the New Year's Greeting video on your channel yet, but I'll make my way over quickly, haha. I think one of the issues that had a slight domino effect was putting MATZ and Yungi together. They, as groups, talk a lot anyway, so what they did say were probably things they already had said to each other before. You could see it in the way MATZ weren't sure what they should be talking about, because there was nothing that troubled them about one another that they hadn't already discussed. That was what set the tone of the video too, so the rest went by somewhat awkwardly. The group told Yungi to just proceed how they normally did when they have deep conversations. This similarly gave the rest of the video a somewhat awkward feel as they probably had this conversation a million times before. However, Mingi being with Yunho may have been a comfort choice. Since they used one popular pairing, they may have teamed MATZ up to balance things out. ATEEZ play a game often. They hold hands and tell that person how they've been troubled by them. The other has to respond with "Of course" or sometimes they change it to "O understand." If they don't, they're seen as "out." You exchange troubles this way, but can also roast one another this way (Wooyoung's preferred choice). Mingi either doesn't like this game, or dislikes having to say such things to / hear such things from his band members. He seems to have to be in a very playful mood, otherwise when it's his turn you can see his anxiety start to dial up. In these cases, the group normally tells him to call on Yunho (or Yeosang as an option in some cases). A good example of this is in Idol Human Theatre ([ENG/JPN] Spicy ATEEZ immersed themselves in the hyper-immersion concept - ruclips.net/video/WiZMsP0Nrco/видео.html). I definitely want to hear what you both had to say. You read the room, body language, tone of voice and facial expressions so well!
@@shaneschutte7975 - wait, Yunho and Wooyoung are holding the same mic?!?!?! 😳 Oh, we likey likey likey your thought on ATEEZ not having a distinct genre, but a distinct flavor!! It was incredibly awkward and your explanations much perfect sense. We will definitely check out your recommendation! And thank you so much! We always love hearing your observations and thoughts, as well. You are so astute!!
In episode 6, I definitely felt they shouldn't have counted the chair scrape for Yeosang as going over the noise threshold. He wasn't the one making the noise! If that was the case, there was also a small chair scrape sound on Seonghwa’s turn when the zombie pushed Seonghwa away and adjusted himself on the chair. It wasn't as prolonged a sound, but surely that would have counted too? It was hilarious that most members had to point themselves out to the zombies. Poor Sannie also lost his voice for these episodes after screaming so much. Hongjoong being scared by both the zombies and the jump scare simultaneously is my absolute favourite part of episode 6. I also felt so sorry for Yeosang when it came to carrying the cups! He had to use his reset card only for Captain to get him out again! All of that despite other members doing the same but not being called out for it. I think Hongjoong just didn't want to be the only one that failed, haha. It was interesting to see how they adapted the choreo so they wouldn't have to turn around though! These men are far too competitive for their own good. On a greater spectrum, this is probably part of why they can do what they do with such passion.
Agreed! The chair scraping counting against Yeosang seemed unfair. Do you think it was counted to give him more screen time? That seems to happen from time to time. He got screen time in this series, but not as much as some of the members whose reactions were more intense. It definitely sucked that Yeosang failed the cup challenge because he covered the cup with his hand. That rule was not stated in advance. Maybe it's the American in us, but rules that are applied after the fact and not applied equally frustrate us. It was adorable that the members pointed themselves out to the zombies. And it was cute how the zombies went along with them and grunted in appreciation 😍 As you mentioned in a previous comment, the actors for this series were amazing! Hongjoong's fear surprised us. We knew that certain members had a reputation for being easier to scare, but it came as a shock that Hongjoong's reactions would be so intense. It's endearing that both he and Mingi (obviously not in this series, but based on other series we have seen) - the tough rappers - react, shall we say, "less than tough/brave." 🤭 Fair point about the members' competitiveness allowing them to achieve such success.
@@ATEEZxHallyuReviews-mz5tk It may have indeed been for screen time. I don't see it making sense otherwise! I also completely understand the feeling around rules being changed after the fact and not equally applied to everyone. Their competitiveness can sometimes be as equally as frustrating as it is admirable! Hongjoong is definitely an expressive person! I feel his body reactions and facial expressions definitely take how he feels up a notch. It is always hilarious to see Hongjoong and Mingi react this way when their on-stage personas are so intense.
@@shaneschutte7975 - very true! Hongjoong's reactions were the absolute best in this series. We couldn't stop laughing 🤭
I totally agree with you guys. I also felt the vibes were slightly off in this video and san and mingi in general just seem slightly downcast. I just hope they can work through any problems/difficulties they might have. On a happier note can you please react to the try lingual live on hello82 <- it was a fun watch!
Glad to know we were not the only ones who felt that way, though honestly, it saddens us that we were not wrong. We definitely wish only great things for the members. ❤ Thank you for the recommendation! We'd be happy to check it out 🤗
San explained it once, he said because of their work, their youth burns faster than others. So it’s like reality hit them now that they grew up and not living through illusions you have when you’re young. It’s known Ateez is also sabotaged by the industry a lot and Mingi recently said that we can’t always get what we want no matter how hard we work. So I feel like they’re disenchanted by life. Mingi definitely changed during his hiatus. I was there and the before and after is abysmal. But that’s what anxiety does to you.
Beautifully said. And extremely heartbreaking, at the same time. Thank you for sharing. Anxiety is no joke. Sabrina suffers from it and she cannot IMAGINE suffering through it in the public eye. 😕
Since 2019 the members have said San is the most different off camera
We've heard it mentioned by Yunho that Mingi is the most different when there are cameras around, so that is good to know that it is actually San. Thank you for sharing!
@@ATEEZxHallyuReviews-mz5tk Yunho did say Mingi is very different off camera, but he meant it 100% in a positive way. In some videos he even said he feels sorry for us because we'll never get to see how sweet, cute and funny Mingi is in private, as Mingi feels the need to put up a mask and pretend to be cooler/tougher on camera. As for San, he's apparently "crazy" and angers easily off camera. Maybe "volatile" would be a good term. Another member that's kind of different is Hongjoong, who's apparently even more of a workaholic than he appears on video. He's very single-minded and even "cold" while he's working (Xikers even joked that they were scared of producer Hongjoong). We've seen the behind the scenes as he was writing Matz with Seonghwa, how sweet, encouraging and emotional he was, but 1) he was on camera, and 2)... he was with Seonghwa lol who always seems able to bring out the softer side of him (Seonghwa even said that when they are all together, Hongjoong tries to be the cool, responsible Captain, but when it's just the two of them Hongjoong gets whiny and "very human" and seems to crave attention)
@@nenegrey2282 - thank you so much for sharing that information with us. It's so cool to be learning so much for viewers.
@nenegrey2282 stop spreading this false narrative about San, I hate how Atinys make things up to protray members a certain way .
@ATEEZxHallyuReviews-mz5tk please do your own research do not believe everything atinys say, they have their own opinions which aren't true ,especially about San.
Ho Jong is how Wooyoung calls him all the time.
Oh really? Thank you for sharing that tidbit with us 😘
I've seen alot of ppl saying something seemed off on this video... either they were tired or had the end of the tear blues or that something wanted to be discussed right then and there but because of the cameras and staff it couldn't be... I dnt remember which one but in one of the fashion vlogs behind a staff member mentioned that any time an ateez member was expressing gratitude they would always say its because I'm a member of ateez / apart of ateez that this fashion brand noticed me I love the deep dive... i honestly never think about that much so when its pointed out I live for it There was also some complaints on the pairings as well ... yunho and san would have been nice to see
AAAAh, your thought about them wanting to discuss something that couldn't be because of the cameras and staff - especially Yungi - makes sense. It is clear that the video is heavily edited, and that certainly supports that theory. Thank you for sharing that bit about ATEEZ always expressing their gratitude as a member of ATEEZ. It definitely tracks with their group mentality. Thank you for appreciating our deep dive. Neither of us is in the professional entertainment business, so what we bring to the conversation is a myriad of skills and knowledge and a genuine passion for hallyu. We wish only the best for the members of ATEEZ. Yes - Yunho and San would have been a great pairing - and for several reasons. We'd really be interested to know how the pairings were determined.
@@ATEEZxHallyuReviews-mz5tk honestly the pairings could be piggybacking off that fortune teller video ... at least with matz and san yeosang
@@ang3l0fl0ve - that makes sense!

We love these guys 😍
I am obsessed with Seonghwa's vocal tone in this cover!
It's SO good! We love how Seonghwa's voice can sound so different from song to song, depending on the emotion he's trying to convey 🤩
i love girls like me that arent afraid to let their thirst out!
🤣🤣
Back at it again! Sorry that I haven't been able to watch anything for a while. I had a busy project and got sidetracked helping my mum prep for a Paris-cheese board party. My mum tends to sit inside and just watch TV while quilting. I was over the moon that she wanted to do things with friends, even if it was still indoors. I went a little overboard, haha. I felt so sorry for San not being able to eat. Poor Sannie and his freeze instincts. He sometimes has the worst luck in a series. It's up there with Yunho when he's on a losing streak. When something starts going wrong for San in an episode, it will often last for its entirety. I did feel they changed the food section up drastically for the second group though! The utensils all had bells and they had to work with a grill. The actors were brilliant in this series, being able to go from spooky to normal conversation throughout. As Wooyoung said, the food episode was a try not to laugh challenge. Speaking of, on their first trip to the US, ATEEZ did a try not to sing challenge for the channel REACT. It was hilarious! ‘K-pop Stars React To Try Not To Sing Along Challenge (ATEEZ 에이티즈).’ Also, going forwards, in what format do you prefer recommendations? That the title be written out or that a link be given instead? In the second episode, I love seeing the difference in how Yunho, Jongho and Hongjoong behave. All three are being relied on by at least one member and the way they go about it is intriguing to see. Yunho just lets the members use him as support and doesn't move, Jongho tries his best to tease San and Hongjoong goes between wanting to help Wooyoung and clinging to Wooyoung just as hard! Thank you for this great reaction!
We love how much effort you put into making your mom happy! 😍 And please, don't ever worry about being busy and not having time to comment! We look forward to your comments, but understand that we all do this for fun and for the community we are building as ATINY. Your family and personal life always come first ❤ Our hearts really felt for San in this episode. He was truly so scared...and then to not be able to eat on top of it! We agree - kudos to the actors in this series. They oscillated back and forth so effortlessly between terrifying and cute, whatever the situation called for. It was definitely unexpected and a nice twice on the traditional Halloween k-pop content. Thank you for the recommendation - it sounds so fun! As for what format we prefer, more details are always appreciated because, it not only saves us time - which we are grateful for - but it also ensures that we are reacting to the correct content. Links are great, though they do sometimes malfunction or get blocked. Detailed titles work great, too. But honestly, we'll take them however we can get them and very much appreciate each and ever recommendation make!
I like how we can see the beautiful vocal range of him. It's so beautiful ❤it's also calming. Love the reactions your my new favorite reactors 😊
💯- We couldn't agree more! Yunho's range is incredible, and his voice is beautiful and calming. We could seriously listen to him all day, every day 😍 And thank you for your sweet comment! You made our day 🥰😘 We are happy to have you with us on this journey to get to know ATEEZ better ❤
