Afghanistan Defeats New Zealand // Genius Ramoji Rao

Rahmanullah Gurbaz's stellar knock, combined with four-wicket hauls from Rashid Khan and Fazalhaq Farooqi, propelled Afghanistan to a historic 84-run victory over New Zealand in their T20 World Cup 2024 Group C match on Saturday. Chasing a target of 160, New Zealand struggled with constant wicket losses and were all out for a mere 76. Rashid and Farooqi each claimed four wickets for Afghanistan, with Mohammad Nabi contributing two more. Glenn Phillips was New Zealand's top scorer with 18 runs. Earlier in the match, Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran scored 80 and 44 runs respectively, leading Afghanistan to a total of 159/6.
