3d Sounds from multiple youtubers within 1 months time is great.. gives a good helping hand for others to understand it! GameMaker Casts did a video on 3d sounds back in May. The more resources people have to learn from the better! great job 1up Indie!
wow, i was already advanced in my game and i still hadn't put any sound, and i was going to start for now and i was just looking for 3d sounds, thanks, awesome content
I spent 2 hrs trying to fix this and solved it immediately after posting this. for gain to work you have to change the fall of from audio_falloff_exponent_distance to the versions with _clamped or _ scaled

Yes, he has a really good channel. Highly recommend subbing to him!
Your videos have been extremely helpful. They're short and straight to the point too, which is a huge plus. Thank you.

Then I have fullfilled your hidden wants. Or purely coincidental.

I'm afraid you are monitoring me 🧐
Thanks for the video! I never knew I needed this until I see this!
Nice!
This is cool, thanks! But this works only with not looped sounds, right?
Nah, that works with all kinds of sounds (loop or played once).
How to keep the distance mechanic but not have any fancy panning?
Hm, not sure what you mean by fancy here.
good lord, finally got it working lol thanks so much.
Neat
Thanks
Thankx
How do I adjust the overall volume of the sounds using the first method? I see gain as an option in brackets [gain] but it doesn't work.
I made a video on that: ruclips.net/video/G-sRh6KNJZg/видео.html
Is that what you were looking for?
mine works but the stereos are swapped for some reason
Hm, then you can swap the x values but that would be reversed for everybody else.
from a shooters perspective, i need the 3d sound inverted in the x axis, i tried and failed. can someone help me lol
Hm, can't you simply invert the x position?
is the gain function broken for this? 0 plays no sound but anything higher, even 0.01 plays full volume

Glad to hear you could fix it. Keep it up!
Thank you
