I can't find any way to get it back as WhatsApp seems to have securely deleted everything from my device at the exact time of failure. There are lots of posts on Reddit of people who have experienced the same problem. Did you ever find any ways to get the missing folders to appear again, or any apps or software that was able to detect it again? This is a HUGE flaw with WhatsApp at the moment and I can't believe that they are letting it happen!

I think the administrator of the group and group members see you have a new phone number. Because you van block persons in your Whatsapp but not in Whatsapp groups.

I think that this is a new design feature of WhatsApp unfortunately (whenever you uninstall the app or a transfer fails, it will automatically delete EVERYTHING). It's horrendous and I can't believe that they would program it to do this though! Were you ever able to get your data back somehow?

Because when I reinstalled WhatsApp, I chose not to backup my old chats/groups. Think this person has created a new account with a new number and phone and then notitified some of the friends but not me. Three weeks before the change there was also a yellow message that his security options had been changed but i still could see this person being online after that every day. @@koala10ish I don't know if you have still the sim card with that old number. And the telephone you used while having that number. I had An old phone that crashed. Because i did not allow Whatsapp updates every day at that time in the cloud it became problematic to get acces to that old information. I would recommend to go to an internet shop or find someone who works in ICT who can help you.

If you tried to get into Guiness Book of World Records for fastest talker on RUclips you did accomplished that. I was surprised that I have bit rate high enough to transmit your fast talking. Unfortunatelly RUclips has no feature to slow the audio, so your verbal comments and screen guide were too fast to be registered and encoded by average mind! My WhatsApp does not send me notifications on my iPhone , but all settings are fine so I was hoping to fix it by unisntalling and reinstalling the app. Running Update did not fix the problem. Hopefully there is another RUclips segment which will help me to resolve my problem.

Hey! If you have changed your phone number and you are trying to restore your backup, it won’t be executed. Only the backups performed under that number will be shown. The same goes if you change your email address abruptly, as the backup is stored in another email address.

I cannot restore my Google Drive backup from three days ago ... the app can't seem to do it and I end up with a very very old backup .... anyone help ? I can see the back up on Google Drive am using Android
Hey! If you have changed your phone number and you are trying to restore your backup, it won’t be executed. Only the backups performed under that number will be shown. The same goes if you change your email address abruptly, as the backup is stored in another email address.
