Mainly clothing. i have boxed up and stored away all but a few dolls. i never thought i would ever get to a point when i feel overwhelmed with doll clothing and STILL want more. It's ridiculous. i think the late 60s/ early 1970s Barbie is the most charming era. That's probably why i feel so overwhelmed. A lot of the fashions i own are vintage, but require a lot of work. Sewing, cleaning and stuff. i might not ever make it to a doll show. i don't think i'll be able to take it.
oh nice! Good luck organizing everything! It’s always good to go through everything and organize. Fashions can be difficult to organize. I try to keep outfit in a small plastic baggies. Like the jewelry sized baggies

That amazing convention dress needs white stockings or a pantyhose and black Maryjanes , that's why the boots looked good too, it kinda emulated white knee length stockings... The porcelain repro is very pretty! I also have that cheap phone holder chair, mines are red! I have some actual mod Italian chairs from the 70's that I think you will love I will put one aside for you. I didn't know you also are into doll furniture! I specially love the mod playsets and have a big hoard of them, as you already know I hoard everything! XDDD

My doll was the one in the red fur trimmed ski parka standing between the large Lilli and small Lilli in the matching green ones. It was sad to sell her but I was thrilled that Peter Isler included her in his book. 💕

Reference books and especially the older copies of doll magazines are pretty much ignored by new collectors nowadays…which they missed a lot in terms of learning and honing their knowledge…they only rely on the internet…there’s a ton of informations and reference photos in books and magazines that you cannot find on the internet…

I just wanted to share with you i did load a video of vol 2 barbie fashion book like a year ago might be helpful to you in the meanwhile you are able to buy your own book. Also do you own any Hong Kong lilli or it's just the lanka ones?.
Missed you but I understand multiple changes can be a challenge! I've recently had an issue with a vintage reproduction Francie's shoes cracking. They were only ever put on her feet and displayed Also a 90's Kelly I unboxed and dressed ... her shoes split as well. Is this common and do you know how to prevent it from happening or any fixes?
I’ve never had shoes crack, but if the dolls are from the 90s, its probably do to age. Also too much sun exposure can weaken plastic, so make sure the sun isnt shining directly on to your displays.
@@somelikeitvntg Yep, I actually use vintage Barbie clothes on the porcelain versions. It can be a tight fit. I have a Registered Nurse outfit on the Blonde 1959 porcelain version and it devastates me. I have about 20 of 1959 bride version dolls in a cabinet dressed in vintage clothes and outfits I have sewn myself. Some days I can't make it out of the house bc I am paralyzed by the beauty, I just lay on the floor and weep in front of them. JK 🤣
