I cant explain how much I love this version. Johnny’s riff, Andy’s bass, Mike’s drum, and of course Morrissey’s smooth, rich, voice. All of these make me feel so truly alive. It gives me the most wonderful nostalgia. The song is so simple, it’s like they just found a fact and stated it. I’m considered a chubby girl, and when people make fun of me for that, I always find myself coming back to this song. Just hearing morrissey, my favorite singer, say “some girls are bigger than others” is enough to stop my crying. It’s currently 5:41 pm, Tuesday, July 5th, 2022. I’m happy. To The Smiths, thank you.

I find the sound The Smiths always had too cool, Andy Rourke's bass line is impeccable work!! Thanks to the AMAZING music of this band I feel more alive

I love how dry the guitar sounds. It could pass for a Strokes tune 😂

This is an excellent rendition. And after such a long time I finally managed to 'devocalise' this 1986 Brixton Academy performance of the song so we can enjoy how the Marr/Rourke combo held such a tight, rolling riff together for a near full five minutes: ruclips.net/video/tyRoTgMJBNs/видео.html&ab_channel=route79. A full 5 minutes of intro, verse/chorus and outro in all of it's original one-of-a-kind live glory. Long live The Smiths.

Abba oasis etc etc etc this band getting back together that band etc etc... I'd give my right testicle to see the smiths on stage together again, marrs riffs and morriseys lyrics are never to be beaten, sounds so raw as if it was written yesterday..... Just so perfect
