Do you remember what that bracket was called that they replaced. The one with the rivet going through it?

Glad that worked out for you. If you're not already able to be flexible and think quickly on your feet, apparently full-time RVing will teach you those skills in no time. It was good that you saw the defective brace when you did rather than have it break in some of the remote areas you've been to recently.

Hey, John! Yeah, my understanding is the clamp helps prevent the main spring taking the entire load on rebound and snapping. So a rather critical part.

Looking good there Mario. Hope they did both sides. As a full timer, as part of your safety checks list, you should check the torque of the lug nuts of the trailer and truck often. A good torque wrench is a necessary tool to have. You can find one at Harbor Freight, Lowes, Home Depot and other fine retailers near you. Add it to your toy box soon. Your repair made us keep thinking of a song. It is by Abba titled Money Money Money. Seems like RVing requires lots of it. Enjoy the journey and Safe Travels.

Hey there, MJ. I don't know why I don't carry a torque wrench. I guess I realize I would need three sizes to cover all the bases and have tried to depend on shops to help me out. Not sure that is working out. And yes, money money money!

Way to go Mario. Enjoy watching your videos. Thank you for sharing information and learning things from your videos. I also have a Chevy Colorado. I was wondering if you heard anything about the Chevy Colorado having a bent frame Underneath the bed of the truck. When towing a trailer off road.

Hi, Jim. Thanks for watching and thanks for taking the time to comment. It is possible to bend the frame. The owner's manual provides specifications for load limits at the bed, bed rails, and hitch. For example, they do not support the use of "slide in" campers. The way I understand it, all vehicles are designed to "crumple" in specific zones when a certain amount of force is applied. It is possible to bend the frame at, what seems to me, an engineered point of failure. I am not worried about mine because I know my weights and what I intend to use the truck for.

That sucks you have to keep fixing the suspension work you've had done.

Hey, Kevin! Yeah, I never thought the leaf spring upgrade I did would be the last upgrade, but repairing it was not anticipated.
