Im so happy you are back in California. As a beginning birder who lives 30 minutes down the mountain from Shaver Lake you have helped me expand my birding knowledge greatly. I actually found your channel because of your Huntington Lake video!

Some nice finds. I live in northwest Georgia and have never been much farther west than I am now, so I really need to get out to California one of these days. I don't have a life list, but if I did those white-headed woodpeckers would be on it. Very cool. And I'm a big unexplained phenomena enthusiast, so I'd have to visit some of the major Bigfoot hotspots and tourist traps. Maybe visit the Santa Lucia mountains and look for some Dark Watchers, too. You never know!

We love unexplained phenomenon as well. You have any go-to podcasts or RUclips channels about it you watch? Also we would certainly recommend Rachel if you go out to CA

@@BadgerlandBirding Books and higher-end TV shows (not the type that run around with night vision goggles pretending Bigfoot is chasing them) tend to be more what I focus on, but there are some good YT channels available. Bob Gymlan is THE Bigfoot channel. Intelligent Disclosure With Richard Dolan is a solid UFO channel; he's fallen a little too far down the conspiracy rabbit hole (which isn't to say that the UFO coverup isn't undeniably a real thing) but he's a good researcher that makes smart observations and digs up fascinating cases. Eyes On Cinema is a fantastic library of random UFO videos and clips on every subject and from every source you can think of. Think Anomalous dives into individual cases from all branches of the unexplained, and focuses on the outside-the-box theory held by researcher Jacques Vallee, which I think is closer to the mark than mainline theories. The Why Files also covers the full spectrum, but with some comedy to lighten it up.

I'm in Tucson and love your videos. Glad you have success here. Luckily I listened to your video here. I recorded a Cassin's Vireo the other day and just couldn't ID it. Your video perked me up and sure enough! Thanks you guys. You are living my dream! I've got a mom Broad-billed Hummingbird and a probable Anna's both nesting in my garden now. I am privileged! Keep up your excellent work guys! Love Rachel as your guide!

I always refer to my absolute garbage, barely identifiable bird photos as bigfoot photos

Do we have any proof that they aren’t Bigfoot photos?

Couldn't help but think, when that first warbler showed - seemed like he very much noticed y'all just the way you were noticing him. And it's fun to imagine that sometimes the birds are like "Hey look! Never seen a human with that kind of hat before!"
It's always just plain amazing to me when a wild creature seems to look right at you and you can SEE them thinking. What they're thinking is anybody's guess but it's really obvious that there is a personality behind the feathers or fur or scales!
