Good morning to you from Hong Kong 🇭🇰, Hawking. Guess what ? Yesterday as I went out on my morning walk, I saw for the first time in all these decades living in Hong Kong 🇭🇰, along the beachfront promenade I saw as well as being able to photograph and take video of the Black-capped Kingfisher ! What a ‘LIFER’ for me !
Awesome video! I just wanted to tell you that I also use Stan Tekeila's books for when I go to a state! They are super useful and handy. There is also a newer version of the Birds of Utah book you have, containing 8 more species. Maybe you've already seen some of these additional 8!
Ive always wanted to go to the international center but I couldn't imagine what would be out there in a business district, but now I know. Thanks for another great video. You are getting so close to your goal🎉
It still really confuses me as a hotspot. I don’t see as many species as some people but I guess the strategy is to check the ponds by the Hilton and then look in all the trees as you walk around
By the way, the Black-Capped Kingfisher is widely distributed in tropical Asia from India 🇮🇳 east to China 🇨🇳, Korea 🇰🇷, and Southeast Asia. Hong Kong 🇭🇰 SAR only has the Spotted Dove and the Green Emerald Dove. While the Spotted Dove is plentiful, the Green Emerald Dove is not readily seen as it likes to hide in dense green foliages.
Real genuine, down to earth birding. Love it!
Congrats on the Townsend’s Warbler, they are beautiful!
Great video Hawkin! I really enjoyed seeing those views of the Townsend's Warbler! Fun adventure!
Hope you noticed the hat I was wearing day 2 😉
@@HawkInTheLens Oh wow haha don't know how I missed that 👏
Another great video, thanks!

Wow! Kingfishers are such great birds. Do you post your pictures anywhere or just take them for yourself?
Another fantastic video! Soooo cool seeing the Townsend's warbler!
