I actually like seeing the daily behind the scenes vanlife including the cats (of course) more than the adventures!
Good to know! We actually are more comfortable filming and making videos in the van either way so hope to do a lot more of that! Thank you for watching ❤️
You can add another enjoyable factor to your daily routine by getting a toy French Bulldog which are known to be compatible with your lovely lady felines! Check it out?
Yes I agree too. But both is great. I love it ❤
My gosh the rain out in the forrest is quite ASMR for my liking
❤️❤️😌
The landscape !!! The mountains and the changing leaves are breathtaking. 😍 and I love that you guys included the not so glamorous parts of vanlife like the randomly hanging laundry 😂
It is so insane with the larch trees all changing out here! Thank for watching and commenting ❤️ Our goal is to show a more realistic side of everything with the longer videos so we are glad you are enjoying that!
I love the cats😊
Who doesn’t? 😻😻
Travelling in ALL weather is what makes it an adventure. It would be a shame to miss all the colours of all seasons. 😊 im loving it..😊
Seriously! Your cats!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for showing the real van life. It’s just life. Amen. But if you can’t sort out the real life then van life doesn’t work. Thanks for sharing all the Kitty stuff.
The ladies are our favorite thing to share because they’re just so cute.😍 Most of Vanlife is really mellow and just consists of inconsistency. We are having a good time showing all sides of it so thanks for watching and commenting on our video ☺️
I love Lula’s single white whisker 🤎
Omg it’s actually our favorite and it’s bent up right now from them playing. It’s the cutest thing! 😍
I love Canmore! I stayed there for a week last year and it was one of my favourite places in Canada ❤
Canmore is beautiful! One of our favorite places we’ve ever been!
Food looked amazing Seth , so sweet see you guys on your adventures with kitty tagging along!!
Thank you 🫶🏻 we are having the best time with the ladies 😻
You guys are amazing, we really love your new vlogs. It’s only episode three and we are heavily invested. Can’t wait to see all the upcoming adventures. Thank you so much for sharing your life and the reality of van life with all of us, it really makes us want to consider trying life on the open road. Keep up the awesome work and please be safe out there. We will definitely be tuning in again next week!
Thank you so much for coming back and hanging with us on Fridays! It’s amazing for us to hear that you are enjoying them. That really means a lot so thank you.❤️ Can’t wait to continue sharing the videos and more of the lifestyle with you!
@quintinandron agreed 100% friend 😊👍
That lake at the end was like something from a fairly tale. Just wow
It was so pretty. The water was crystal clear and ice cold to the touch. I can only imagine it in the sunlight. This was still a very very overcast day!
Love how patiently and slowly you are training Sasha! And Canada looks 😍 don´t worry about cloudy days, the sun will come up eventually, enjoy the rain!
I grew up in Alberta so it’s so exciting watching you guys explore! I also call my cat different versions of chonk, mainly “chonquito”
Omg Conquito is actually amazing 😂😂😂 thanks for watching! We are really loving Alberta so far!
Very entertaining video. Canada 🇨🇦 🍁 is a very beautiful place to visit 😊.
It’s amazing! Thank you for watching glad you enjoyed the video. 😁
I just smile when I watch you kids😊
Dude that lake or lil pond was literally see threw! Omgg what a place to swim i loveeeeee it
They didn’t allow swimming in this one but it was crystal clear!
You are in my backyard!!
I live in Canmore.
Hope you are enjoying your stay here.
You picked a good time of year to come here.
Canmore is possibly the most beautiful town we’ve ever been to! Illegal to park overnight but the walking paths and town are amazing. We actually did our laundry in this video there and have been here for about a week. Thank you for watching! ❤️
@@scarletandseth yes, the town is fairly diligent about no overnight parking.
There used to a place you could overnight. It was behind the two main grocery stores. We called it “Vanmore” 🤣
Unfortunately, too many people did not respect the rules that were in place and the town eventually shut it down.
@@rumrun11 Yes! We have actually heard about “vanmore” from a few locals. We were parked over there for the last market yesterday and some people were reminiscing about when you used to be able to stay. 😂
One year in, watching from my van, and appreciating all the little and big moments. Thanks again for sharing yalls 🤗
That’s amazing! Such an amazing lifestyle in so many ways so glad you are enjoying the journey!
love the nature sounds. So soothing thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed it. 😁
Stunning!! Y’all stay safe out there!! There was a fatal grizzly attack Friday and they did deploy an entire can of bear spray! I love your videos and thank you for sharing the travels of your little family with us all! ❤
Thank you for watching! Yes we have heard it’s been quite the topic of conversation out here and the whole thing is very unfortunate. We actually haven’t been able to do much in banff because of how crowded it still is so we are spending much of our time in Yoho/Jasper. ❤️
Sasha is 4 lbs of sass and mischief! Great video. Also, I think people love 'day in the life' videos and realities of van life. Hope you guys don't feel pressure to show only the good parts of VL.
She’s more like 10 😂 all sass though for sure! Nope not at all! We’d like to make these videos a regular thing on fridays so they will probably mostly be more casual normal vanlife!
It's great to see this video as it's a part of Canada that my family drove through on our road trip through Canada when I was 19 yrs old. I'm 42 now I hope to go to Canada again and go with my fiancé one day. Holidays are not on the cards yet as we have my dental work, my fiance's expensive glasses and the wedding to save for before we can even think of travel. It's been 16 years since I went on holiday and went on a plane to Chicago. I can't wait to go there as well. We drove through Banff and had lunch I think when we went through there. We went from Vancouver to Calgary. Visiting our Canadian part of our family.
It’s truly beautiful out here. We are very blessed to be able to experience it in this season. Thank you for watching. Glad you enjoyed the video! 😁
You have good way of talking, sound of both of your voices is good, it's very soothing and relaxing. You have great storytelling skills.❤
Thank you for the kind words and for watching! 🫶🏻
You could caught rainbow 😍
I love the ladys, but Lula is my favorite 😅🥰🤗
That's another amazing video!
Haha don’t tell Sasha but she’s our favorite too. 😂 thank you for watching glad you enjoyed! ❤️
@@scarletandseth it'll be our secret 😅🤭
Was in the area (four of us on motorcycles) early September and although it was rainy, it did not disappoint....We may have even seen the rig!!
I think we may have missed you in early September since we came a bit later but it’s an amazing place for sure!
Opening shots are KILLLLERRRRR! 😭🫡
Thank youuu 🙏🏻🫶🏻
Hi Guys, recently discovered your channel, looovvve your cats, love you guy's, your journeys, you truly inspire. Keep going and bringing this amazing content, it is muchly appreciated. 🙏
Thank you! ❤️
I love this. even watching your downtime is so peaceful and enjoyable. Keep up the good work with the vlogs
Thank you for watching! We are glad you are enjoying the vlogs. Hopefully we’ll see you again next week ☺️
@@scarletandseth As long as I am alive most definitely
Loving the kitties ❤ perfect little hiker ❤ thanks for creating slow content, very calming and so beautifully shot ❤
Thanks for watching ❤️❤️
You should always back into a parking spot so that you have an easy way to get out in case of an emergency or some bad people or situation...Stay safe....love the ladies💖💖
Honestly this lot gets so packed you are getting parked in either way!
Rainy but still GAWJUS ❤
It really was ❤️
Love how you present your great healthy food. Take care👍🇨🇦
Thanks for watching 🫶🏻
What great views! Enjoy your trip in Canada. Great video. !
Thank you!
Thanks for mentioning mice. Please show viewers how you deal with bugs (especially spiders)
1. when/how they get in and
2. what I would do without any ladies of my own.
No one ever covers this.
Beautiful scenery thanks for sharing 💕
We have bug screens for the side door and all the windows and personally haven’t dealt with many bugs tbh. Maybe they get in and the ladies get them before we even notice 🤷♂️
Gorgeous!
Welcome to Alberta 😁. If your up for a fairly short scramble, Ha Ling Peak in Canmore gets stunning views. Moraine Lake is absolutely breath taking, and the Banff springs hotel is a fun place to go to. Oh I could go on and on lol
Amazing! Thank you so much. We always love hearing recommendations since it can be overwhelming to plan sometimes!
I agree, and sometimes you can miss out on some breath taking experiences that are just off the road like Emerald Lake, Takakkaw Falls the Spiral Tunnels and Banff hot springs if your looking to relax and get warm 😊
Greetings from Holland 😊 love the vibe you both sending ❤ Wishing you a joyfull life.
Hello Seth and Scarlett.. I am so excited for you guys especially Canada. I’ve been to Canada several times even Alberta area and my dream is to travel Canada in a van and you guys are just like doing it and I love it. I hope you guys are going to go back to building vans because I really would love for you to build me a van. 😊❤
Thank you so much for watching! We are really loving our travels in Canada. We may be biased but really feel like it’s the best way to see places. ☺️ Not sure if or when we will return to it. We no longer rent our shop space so until we own our own property it probably isn’t in the cards but who knows maybe that will change!
Awesome video, super chill :)
Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
Amazing van interior, amazing cats, amazing trip. 5 years in van?? Woah
Thank you 🫶🏻 yep 5 years this November!
"Muskrat" LOL! When my cats do that I call it "prairie dogging". Thanks for another great video.
Hahaha it’s so funny when she does this we love it so much. 😂 Thanks for watching! ❤️
Really good shots, editing, music and sounds / you’ve got something, congrats !
Thank you so much. ☺️ glad you enjoyed the video!
Love ur content
🫶🏻 We are glad you are enjoying it
Please be extra careful now, you likely heard about that fatal bear 🐻 attack in Banff. The bears are loading up on opportunities for the winter. A grizzly can roll a van over then break in for dinner, and of course, hiking leaves you completely vulnerable. Bear spray amounts to little. Avoidance is best. I pray to God you read this and take this advice. Delicious food, btw, and love the cats, so cute. That town and surrounding area is so beautiful.
Yes we have heard. It has been a huge topic out here and is very unfortunate. It’s their territory and we obviously assume risk entering it. Thanks for watching out for us though ❤️
Good episode.
Thank you for watching!
We just made our plans to go to Idaho. You've inspired us! You also make THE most deliciois looking vegan food I've ever seen. We are not vegan but have been quite inpressed each time we've gotten to try vegan food via friends who are. It almost enhances your flavor pallet a little bit with the textures & other yummy things in it. It really has been great each food we've tried. But your meals always look so delicious. I just wanted to let you know. Thanks again for inspiration & showing some of us chickens the outdoors is actually gorgeous. We are excited, my husband & sons are shocked but thrilled mom wants to go outdoors, and in the Fall up North.
Wishing you guys continued success on your travels. Stay safe & love your sweet lil ladies. They melt our hearts as well 🙏😊💕🩷
That’s amazing! We are so stoked to hear that and are excited for you to experience the beauty of Idaho!
Thank you so much! I am getting much more into cooking on the road and eventually plan to do some recipes or at least put them in the description of the videos. Thank you for watching ❤️❤️
@@scarletandseth
Love it, thanks 😊
Omgggg love ittttt ❤❤
Thank youu ❤️❤️
Welcome to Canada p. If you find yourself in Muskoka Ontario, we would be happy to host and show you some amazing hiking areas.
Good to know! We probably won’t make it over that way this time but thank you! ❤️
Love ❤️ your cats 🐈 🐈⬛ and your van 🚐
Seth...time for the vegan cooking channel! I love that you show "reality"!! and gorgeous scenery!
That might be fun!
Thank you for watching! 🫶🏻
For Tim Hortons
Omg thank you so much! ❤❤❤
Canuck here from Alberta.. Go hike the Ice Feilds. Easy and camping too there just 1st come 1st serve.
Head north towards jasper and it's in Google maps.. aafe travels
The ice fields are insane we just hiked and camped over near Peyto lake and it was amazing. We made a video about it that will be up next week as well! It was easily our favorite part of our trip up here!
Thank you for sharing! I love your recipes. I will be traveling with my 2 cats and I have tried different walking harnesses. I don't want them slipping out if they get spooked. Which one do you use? Thanks again!
We got these from mynwood cat jackets on Etsy!
the scenery is absolutely beautiful! thanks for sharing a glimpse of your day-to-day with vanlife. for the mouse, encounter - was it in the van, and is so do you have any idea how it could have gotten in? i'm looking into vanlife and although can't prevent all critters from entering any rec's to lower the chances would be great - thank you!
Thank you for watching!
Yeah it was in the van. Luckily the cats run them off but it was getting in in the van from underneath by the side slider. There is a hole in the factory frame that leads to where the seatbelt attaches in the promaster!
@@scarletandseth thank you! i'm leaning tpwards a promaster as well and good to know this hole is something to be aware of. also btw lula and sasha are so adorable!!
@@khadija_2124 For sure! Other than that we’ve loved the promaster!
Aww I’ll let them know you said so 😂😻😻
Which trail/lake did you go at the end of the video? I am in Banff now😜
This was grassi lakes in Canmore!
I really love your beautiful built!! How are the measurements of your table, it seems perfect: big enough for dining with two people but still small for not being in the way. And how thick/thin is the wood you took for building the divider wall, the kitchen, the sitting area? Thanks for your inspiring videos!
Thank you! ❤️ It is 24 x 11 inches. We actually cut a bunch down and sized them up until we felt like it was the perfect fit! We really love this style of table over the overly large ones. We also mounted the mount to one side rather than centering it so it swivels around to many different positions!
Watch out...cats taking hikes may become the next big RUclips trend if yall keep it up 😅
Haha she loooves to hike! She just sometimes prefers a quieter trail!
Question about your cats. How comfortable are yall leaving the cats in the van as you go about town or hiking? I was wondering incase I got a job or something and had to leave them for awhile in the van.
Lovely channel. Lula did not appear too happy to be left behind from the hike, did she?
Haha Lula is much happier to be left than if we brought her. She likes to go outside but only near the van and she does not appreciate people. I think there was someone talking on the other side of the van which is why she looks disturbed 😂
I'm starting my van life process
What do u use for heat and air conditioning
I have a cat I'm bringing also. I need your harness and bag
We have a cruise n comfort AC unit and a webasto diesel heater. To be honest the main issue with AC is the cost and power draw so you need a larger bank. The more affordable option is plenty of ventilation and traveling for mild climates. Even with 810Ah of lithium batteries we can only run the AC for a max of 16 hours before the van battery is dead.
Winter Vancouver island? You’re so close, I hope you guys make it here. It’s a must see like Banff. You MUST drive north to Jasper first, OMG
Free camping east of Saskatchewan crossing and west of Jasper at Terry fox mountain rest area
You’re in my back yard now. Feel free to contact
We went to Jasper a few days ago and it was breathtaking (that will make it into next weeks video!) We are headed to Vancouver island soon! Any recommendations for must do’s on the island while we are there?
Absolutely!!!
SanJosef Bay, Myra Falls, the galleries on Gabriola, Sooke Pot Holes to name a few.
I grew up here😊😅
Please be careful!!! Just last week a couple and their dog was killed by a bear in that area. The bears are desperate because they had a very poor berry crop.
Yes it was a very unfortunate incident. We are always prepared but also know that we assume risk entering their territory. Thank you for watching out for us ❤️
Plant based!
Yes! 🌿🌱
The small amount of food these cats eat in between meals😢😮
You should start daily vloging or 3 to 4 videos in a week
I don’t think we’d be able to keep up with daily vlogs 😅 who knows though, maybe as we get more into it we could do more than one in a week!
Does she do all the driving?
Yep for the most part. Scarlet gets pretty motion sick even as a passenger.
Question, are you two Americans or Canadians?. If you're Americans, how long can you stay in Canada before they kick you out?
We are American! We can stay for 6 months without a visa although we won’t be here nearly that long.
Nice, I did not know that.
I assume that's 6 months per year. So in two years you can stay in Canada for a total of one year, six months at a time?
Tims! 😅
Oh yes! It was one of the first things we grabbed here! 😃
Seth. Why u never drive?
Mainly because Scarlet gets pretty bad motion sickness even as a passenger. I also edit these videos while she drives. 😂
@@scarletandseth she must be a very good driver.. btw, your video is very calming.. it'll be very good if u can produce video twice a week.. 😁
Beautiful video #newsubscriber
Welcome! Thanks for watching ❤️
The whole film is B-roll.
Get those cat ladies fixed so they’ll stop spraying 😮💨
They are both spayed. She used the duvet only bc we blocked her litter box.
Merecat
Although getting rained on in the right conditions can be quite enjoyable, we carry small, foldable, clear umbrellas in our hiking/day packs that are designed to stand up in a hurricane. Clear material allows you to see those branches and other items you can't see with normal umbrella material! You'll be glad you choose "clear"?
This is so cool! I’ve always hated the idea of an umbrella on a hike but it is much nicer than your rain coat inevitably soaking through. Thanks for hanging with us this Friday! Hope you enjoyed the video. 😁
