Cards that have remained meta-relevant for the longest amount of time
sky striker
Petra79 bottomless trap hole has seen constant main deck play from its inception during GX until PePe and was at 1 during most of it.
@@frankwest5388 yooo! Bottomless brings back memories, I used to legit main deck shrink as a way of outing it. Hey it worked!
Monster Reborn would be at like #9
@@gayralseitweets it's certainly one of the oldest cards that sees tons of play but how much of that time has it been banned cause a card can't be relevant if you can't play it so for what length of time has it been legal and relavent compared to other gen 1 power spells
I could swear everyone and their mothers used Pot of Desires.
Ehhh I don't play that shit :v
I play Card of Demise instead. Pot of Desires is garbage.
It's not played that much Extravagance is used mostly in Altergeist, and Desires is good to but not that many decks have space for it
@@ReyBoton Desires is amazing it thins your deck and you go plus 1

Would love to see this type of video again in a year. It would be interesting to analyze how the most used cards have changed in a years time span.
Same here, i can almost guarantee that needle fiber will have a spot.
I'm from the future and nibiru and ash blossom is the name of the game now. God help us.
2yrs later, still the same

I’ve been watching these Top 10 videos for over a year now and it’s taught me more about the game than ever before. Plus, the animations in these videos are superb. Keep up the good work!

10 best trap cards in the history of the game? I mean, YuGiOh is known for the phrase "You activated my trap card!"
I remember when ring of destruction was used as an instant death move. I wonder if it would make the list?
@@Play-On7 Probably not. It's competing against the Solemns, Imperial Order, Royal Oppression, Impermanence etc.
Pre-eratta RoD wouldn't see play in the modern format, the top 10 definitely would.
@@sigurdvickery3523 Well I think that many good traps would fall in the same boat, so I think separate lists would be required to go over the different eras.

No Mystic Mine, bad list, reported, you suck, I win, bye bye.
With all of the "starting Yu-Gi-Oh from scratch" videos/channels/series going around, this is a brilliant list to make. A lot of these cards are gonna be seen many times in every video, but might not get explained super well (or at all). This is great, thanks for the video!
I could have swear that Ash was the most played card... really suprised !
because people who play it play it in the main, but basically everyone sides lancea and twin.
4:44 lol super poly is now a shaddoll structure deck card. Never imagined I can get an equalizer with a whole deck for $10
13:43 no mention of twin twisters crippling pendulums?
@S V cyber dragon is more niche though, and you need machines as DNA surgery is way too slow to combo. Shaddolls despite being power crept can be splashed into anything (except crappy wendigo maybe, but at least super poly with that slows down harpie decks) including cyber dragon. Fun to dump core or electromagnetic turtle with shaddoll fusion.
My man actually made a vid for the top 10 meta cards I suggested...awesome! Love the content as always
Anyone else who doesn't play yu gi oh, but finds his way of explaining this enjoyable? Plus the interactions and stories.
No
I’ve been watching these videos for a few months now. I just got back into this game recently after not having played for almost 10 years. These videos are so well done and has helped me learn a lot. Keep it up!

Idea for next video: Top 10 best non-Archetype search cards.
Terraforming number 1
Rota is number one easily
A good list. Nice to see what people use these days. I stopped playing just before Pendulums came so I am interested in this.
I barely play the game but got super confused at the end with Nibiru until I realized this video is years old lol
Crazy that most of them are still used. And Nibiru is still pretty good
This a great list for cards to craft in Master Duel. I have like 3 or 4 of the cards on this list already
My most used card is the new Volcanic support; only problem is that Konami still hasn't released it.

day 976 im waiting more koaki meiru, vennominom support cards
Day 379 of me waiting for new Blue-Eyes support

Pot of greed and graceful charity are the go tos , unmatched , it may never appear off banlist ever
I really just sat through 14 minutes of DuelLogs explaining why cards I already knew were good are good, huh?
This isn't a crticism of the video, it's just I, and I'm sure many others who watched this, already knew everything that was said here, and yet we still watched the whole thing.
Coz this is equal to asmr to any Yu-Gi-Oh game player

Marcus Holdvessel how???
@@superhydra8873 Nope haha, that's just a joke. But Dark Magician indeed a tier 1 in Duel Links.

An updated version of this for Master Duel's format would be interesting. Also I appreciate all the content
Great list. I look forward to these kinds of videos. Could you do a list of the worst cards that see the most play?
ngl, this helped me with picking some new techs to bolster an older power crept deck of mine. So much new good stuff comes out these days I have a hard time keeping up and digesting what they all do.
worth noting these are the most used cards in yugioh in the past 6 months. if you're gonna use a resource like yugiohtopdecks, you need to cite it otherwise people might think you compiled this information yourself. Also, the fact that its the last 6 months is worth noting, nibiru hasnt been out all that long, but if you shorten the results to the past 3 months or so nibiru ranks 5th overall and red reboot makes an appearance at 10th.
I'll post it again:
10 worst errata
Best/worst cards with effect of banishing other card(s)
Best/worst equip cards
3:12 my old hero deck back in 2014 would use this a lot. Especially against E-Drags, it was a very effective counter to them. Whether I was using five headed or just regular heroes summons, it was an effective stopper.
4:24 “because it’s spell speed 4”
Davinator1212 *annoyed angry face* “Listen here you little shit...(goes on a long tangent about spell speeds)”
Top 10 monsters with unique summoning conditions/top 10 boss monsters that require a lot of resources but are toadally worth it
Oh man its crazy how relevant this video still is 2 years later. In Yugioh of all games.
I love super poly. Nothing more fun that blowing up your opponents combos during their turn while summoning a potentially powerful fusion monster. A damn solid card
Ash Blossom doesn’t just stop selective mills, it stops any mill. So even a card like That Grass Looks Greener, which mills random cards, can be stopped by Ash.
There are some cards that mill as a cost, so I just said that to cover bases
I ASH YOUR DANTE
This should just be a reoccurring series of its own. Like every year or every or something.
Top 10 Spellcaster Monsters? I love your videos bro! Keep it up!
I haven't played in well over 15 years and would like to get back into it from watching these videos all the time. Should I play competitive when playing only with friends? These videos make me want to use deck viable with tournaments. It makes it feel more "official" in a sense. Thanks for the feedback in advance
no, dont play competitive
@@cahya.d lol I don't remember commenting this and seems like I was drunk at the time most likely. I usually get overzealous lol
Lancea being #2 is kinda funny given that Artifact skit you made way back when.
honestly right now i feel like evenly matched is one of the most powerful allowed cards out there. like if you play a hard go 2nd deck you might actually wanna consider playing 3 evenly even in your main deck.
It always used to bug me seeing one of the magical hats get destroyed in twin twisters artwork...
I think you should do the top 10 Ritual or XYZ's monsters played in Yu-Gi-Oh
*_Number 39!_*
Oh wait that's just the anime...Frick
Nice video to update people like me who played years ago and don't know the current meta. Could we see Top 10 Instant Win cards? Between all the Exodias, Phoenix, Destiny Board, Final Countdown, I'm sure there are at least 10 unconventional ways to win a game of Yu-Gi-Oh and I would love to see them ranked.
Called by the grave doesn’t stop continuous effects bot in the field, the biggest example of this would be if your opponent has 2 baelynx in grave, and you called one, the other can still protect a salamagreat card on field
Top 10 monsters that will stop seeing play if Super Poly gets banned
What, no Droll and Lock Bird, especially with Cosmic Cyclone...?
That monster is so good for either both the Main Deck or Side Deck.
Lancia - "I was put into a side deck just last week!!!"
Joyous spring: yoooooo good job dude im happy 4 u
I feel like this should be an annual video. I haven't played since it was my Batteryman deck vs Yubel or G. Beasts, so I need to know the new staples.
This video should be made for every year
"With 3 Twister & 3 Reboots, you can pretty much play through any backrow heavy decks as long as you draw into one of those two cards."
*Cries in not getting any TT or MST against a Mystic Mine deck the entire match*
Knightmare Phoenix is pretty handy, works well for Borreload Dragon for extra protection.
Super Poly total handy handy good finisher and surprised defense.
Top ten non zombie cards that want to be in The graveyard.
Destiny HERO Malicious
Yubel
A good caveat
would also be non banned. But if banned must be included, fairy tale snow.
We need to promote this channel excellent content
Thank you for teaching me what co-linked means here
Unless some sort of ruling came out that I don't know about, you can chain other cards to Infinite Impermanence. The reason you can't use Called on it is because it's not in the grave.
No you cant use called by the grave because you must "target 1 monster..." impermanence is not a monster therefore there is not interaction between these two cards
When super polymerization first came out no one really used it except for Omni Hero's. The card didn't see play until shaddolls were released... That's when it was used heavily
Anyone else miss the old days when you would just evenly match people and your opponent would want to flip the table
One monster i think that was a good option to use with super poli was the fusion version of trishula, that only requires 3 monsters with different names, and triggers his own effects when a dragon monster was used as material
And then you read it's summoning condition that it's have to fusion summon in your hand or field which is basically kill it's huge potential
Even I don't play YGO anymore but I still enjoy this content.
How about top card that errata because the old effect is powerful like exchange of the spirit , dark strike fighter or sangan.
The only way to secure your play when going first is to play Called by the Grave. Forbidden Lance can secure your play against Infinite Impermanence. Not sure about Evenly Matched but Artifact Lancea can stop it. There is Red Reboot. That's about it for hand trap.
I'd like this same video, but with the whole history of the game
Before: I place a card face down and end my turn
Now: k activate my spell which let's me special summon 30 cards and then shuffle them all away while choosing 1 to allow you to special summon 5 ritual monsters because yes
Too fast for boomers, good game.
@@Swordsman99k too braindead, more like.

6. Treacherous Trap Hole
5. Concentrating Current
4. World Legacy Clash
3. Pulse Mines
2. Neos Fusion and E.H.Brave Neos
1. Keeper Of Dragon Magic

Treacherous trap hole was kinda meta at one point. Back when the game was all about rank 4 spam people used it because of Rafflesia.
You know its kinda funny to me how super poly was banned for so long before when it didn't even have good targets to summon except for Shaddolls but that card was banned even before Shaddolls were a thing?
I have a Counter Fairy deck with Marshmallon for defense/memes.
Watching this video made me sad lol
What about a Top 10 Useful monster cards with odd attack values:
E.G.: Giant rex, Master peace.
In older yu-gi-oh there was almost know point to going first unless you got a good trap hand.
Could you maybe do a Top 10 for cards that are currently anime/manga exclusive? Love your vids!
Twin twister is also good because some decks benefit from discarding one card to the grave
Super Poly: "IT DOESN'T MATTER HOW MANY NEGATES!!!"
If i remember correctly, when opp monsters are unafffected by cards' eff, you cannot use them as material for super poly
I'm pretty sure you can, Is like tributing them with a Kaiju, technically you aren't affecting them, you are using them as materials for something the same way your opponent could.
