- I fought the newly introduced Thargoid Scythe.
It is weaker than Glaive, however, and does not use pulses or corrosive missiles to destroy shields or guardian modules. It is also slower than Glaive.
Its attack power also seems to be weaker than Glaive's.
Lightning attack seems to be used only when we are shielded.
So I tried to fight with several of them because one is weak.
Even with Cold Orbit, the attacks were hard to avoid, but it was still pretty easy.
I had to go around the signal source many times until 6 of them appeared, and that was tough.
A few additional points.
The yellow-green pulse that Scythe sometimes emits is a scan pulse.
The scan targets are escape pods with contents.
Scythe does not go into battle mode unless we attack it (it will attack when it is in range) and is generally not very belligerent, but it seems to overreact to escape pods that contain contents....
If they are in your possession, they will immediately go into combat mode and attack you without question.
Also, at that time, they will use something like a hatch breaker limpet to force you to pry open the cargo and take the contained escape pod.
In the meantime, it looks like ECM and point defense can counteract this.
If all the escape pods are taken or if you release 20 escape pods by yourself, Scythe will lose interest in you and will not attack you (not tested).
If you have escape pods with contents, hyperdict and interdict will also come to you.
Scythe seems to be very interested in humans...

新たに登場したThargoid Scytheと戦ってみました。
といってもGlaiveよりも弱く、シールドやガーディアンモジュールを破壊するパルス、腐食ミサイル等は使ってきません。速度もGlaiveと比べると遅いです。
攻撃力もGlaiveより弱いようです。
なお、ライトニング攻撃はこちらがシールドを張ってる場合のみ使ってくるようです。
ということで1体だと弱いので、複数体と戦ってみました。
コールドオービットを駆使しても攻撃は中々避け切れないですが、それでもかなり簡単でした。
最大で6体出てくるのかな？6体出てくるまで何度もシグナルソース巡りして、そこがきつかったですｗ
ちょっと補足。
Scytheが時々発する黄緑色のパルスは、スキャンパルスです。
スキャン対象は、中身入りのエスケープポッドとなります。
Scytheは、こちらが攻撃しない限り戦闘モードにはならず（射程内にいる時は攻撃してくる）、基本的にあまり好戦的ではないのですが、中身入りのエスケープポッドには過剰に反応するようで...
もしも所持していたら即座に戦闘モードになり、問答無用で攻撃されます。
またその時、ハッチブレイカーリムペットのようなものを使ってきて、無理やりカーゴをこじ開けて中身入りのエスケープポッドを持っていかれてしまいます。
一応、ECMやポイントデフェンスで対策出来るみたいです。
全ての中身入りのエスケープポッドが持っていかれる、若しくは自分で20個ほど放出すれば、Scytheはこちらの興味を失い攻撃されなくなるみたいです（未検証
なお、中身入りのエスケープポッドを所持している場合、ハイパーディクトやインターディクトもやってくる様です。
Scytheは人類に興味津々なようで...

Nice flying, CMDR! I really like your loadout with the single AX multi-cannon with the thermal vented beam laser.
Not being able to cold orbit and dodge their shots is a bummer.
No shields, no canopy. The only thing between the thargoid war machine and your face is few hundred metres lol :) Nice flying.
Nice flight! But I still prefer the Hydra fight...much more tension and much more fun. Neither the glaive or the Scythe gave any sense of danger to me...
Get yourself a flight controller joystick man it adds so much to the game.

Super easy to farm. No schields slow moving no hearts and drops good loot
How can you see your HUD when your canopy is broken?

@@Br1dg3swas this changed? I am 100% certain that broken canopy would make all hud elements not show in the center (reticle, enemy markers, etc), except on remaining pieces of canopy glass, and nightvision had nothing to do with it...
It's a glitch from what I've heard. When your canopy is breached, but you have night vision enabled, it treats the canopy as if it was fully intact. I have no idea why, but it does.

Those PAs have the most annoying sound in the game.
Combat looks really boring, that's why I couldn't get into this game. Maybe it was fun, chasing dots around 20 years ago, it's not interesting anymore.
Way into the future, and still manual targetting, trajectory calculation.
There should have been more things to do within the game, other than chasing the dots and clicking 1,2,3.
What would the alternative be? Automatic firing? You'd literally have nothing to do
It’s funny how low skill players always complain about having manual control.
