- Miroslav Zrnčević (aka Mrgud) has one of the world’s best jobs - he is a full-time test-driver at Rimac Automobili. He works very closely with our Vehicle Development, Vehicle Dynamics and Control Algorithm Development teams. As we are developing technologies and systems for a wide range of vehicles that have to work with various drivers in millions of different scenarios, we can’t rely on the feedback of our employees only. That’s why sometimes, we have guest test-drivers to give us their thoughts and opinion.
Juraj Šebalj is one of Croatia’s most successful racing drivers - he is a 10 times rally champion and has won many hill climb and circuit races in his career. He was involved in the Torque Vectoring development for the last year and tried various Concept_One prototypes many times on different tracks. The Grobnik Racetrack is still quite something different - extremely rough surface, very fast, lots of tricky high-speed corners and sections with hard, tricky braking. But we love it, and love the astonishing scenery in the background.

This machine is absolutely off the rails. It is a rocket ship on wheels. What a triumphant moment in engineering.

For this car you need a driver with lot of practice on this car because driving it is completely different as normal racing car, you do not shifting, breaking is different, power to wheel is different and changing and you miss the sound

All of this videos are nice pr but people are fed up with it. Get the car to Germany and have a try on Nürburgring so we can finally see if this is the car or just extremely expensive drag racer.

Why Was the car so badly vinyl wrapped? wrinkles on the hood, above the door...was it a rush job to protect the paint job, or chosen in white to reflect the sun and reduce the heat buildup? or is the cars so crazy fast that the wrap was trying to peel off?

Th issue is not replacing ICE cars with EVs, that's already being done. The much larger issue is designing battery packs that will do the jobs diesels do now. And in fact Volvo is working on that as I type this.

cars on the batteries are a much more potential hazard to overall driver and passenger safety...people just don't realize it yet. of course the batteries has a lots of advantages but the major problems are the batteries... it will just be shown in the future, when the massive production starts... in todays cars, potential fuel source problems don't end up the way they can end up like when problem occur when using the batteries. Imagine the future massive car production in non premium segment. Men I just don't wanna drive in car with so much battery capacity beneath me, so thanks... see the example of the Richard Hammond accident. The question is, would it normal car start to burn like that on such accident??
Krunokia This problem is soon solved. Look at some battery documentaries. There are batteries that exist today that has twice the capacity of normal lithium batteries that do not explode or burn when they are being punctured or subjected to a lot of trauma, like in a car accident. A small company like Rimac could probably use such batteries soon since they do not mass produce their cars, but we won't see such batteries in a while in consumer products since they can not be massproduced as of yet.

EVs have already been proven to be safer than gas cars. You think driving around with a sheet metal container of flammable liquid is safer, or that gas vehicles don't catch fire in a crash?
You are saying that a thin layer of metal full of flamable liquid is safer than 6 completely isolated batteries. Also while we are on the topic of hammonds Crash.. You see the car fell down a 110 metre fall And rolled around 4 times. .. If he was in a gas car (in the same conditions) the gas car would have exploded leaving our hamster with a lot more than a broken knee. Be happy that he is alive.. it's not really a production car, more a Showcase for the Company. They dont see themselves as a car manufacturer, they only build eight of it as a sign of gratitude for the mainly American Investors who helped starting the Company.

Rimac je izjavio par puta da nema planova parirati Tesli. Masovna produkcija zahtjeva enormne resurse, a i sam Tesla je trenutno best bangfor buck kojem je gotovo nemiguce konkurirati. Rimac zivi od prodaje tehnologije, a Concept one mu je najbolja reklama.

It's time to stop playing around with our inneficient conventionnal racecars.
Actually the ICE can not exceed an efficiency rate of 40% and usually doesn't reach 30% so yes there is room for improvement but it is still abysmal compared to the 90% efficiency rate of an eletric drivetrain.
ICE is still around because of the control some companies have on its power source and manufatcurers control the vehicle tech itself.
Look at how easy an EV is and how anyone can produce electricity then do the same comparison with its counterpart.
There is no Fear, no doubt and no uncertainty here.

Vinsu Karma Yes, but ICE cars and EVs are fun in different ways. EVs are great because of instant torque and tech and all but ICE cars are mechanical and raw, like animals. I'm not giving up ICEs for EVs. You can't really compare the 2. Besides, I'm hoping we can work on renewable fuels like algae-based fuel so we can keep ICE cars running.
