Very enjoyable Karen, thank you once again for another beginner tutorial. Snow scenes often feel overwhelming, but your calm sounding tutorial makes it sound very easy and relaxing. 🎨🖌👩🎨
Thank you so much Anita! So pleased you enjoyed this winter scene tutorial 😀
Very serene and beautiful Karen, and the sheeps just add more peacefulness to the scene. Your landscapes are unique!.
Thank you Imma, I just love to paint sheep 😀
Beautiful. So far have watched and listened. Have not yet worked up the courage to put paint to paper yet but hope one of these lovely tutorials will move me just to that spot soon! Have a blessed holiday season.
You can do it Jill, keep it simple, you don't even need to paint the sheep. Happy holidays 😊
I love the way that you describe absolutely everything that you do when you do it. So helpful to us beginners, and I have been a beginner for long time!!!
Thank you Pamela... I am so pleased you think so!😊
Beautiful painting, Great explanation I will definitely have a go at this one. Thank you
Thanks so much Zoey! I hope you have fun painting this one 😊
Beautiful simple winter composition….. always love the sheep
Thank you Linda! I could not resist!
Love the snow scenery. So easy to do. Love your explanations. 💞💞💞

I am an everlasting beginner! 🤗 This video is perfect for me, so sweet!😊

Very beautiful Karen, we really feel winter now. Maria.
Thank you Maria! The temperature is dropping of late! Snow forecast in London this week!
Another winter wonder - we can’t keep up 🥵😁. Fabulous - thank you 🙏!
Thank you so much Chris! I could not resist!! 😊
Love this painting and can’t wait to try it. You have made me into a sheepaholic!
Thanks so much Steve! Me too!!! Have fun painting this one ☺
I get that this is a beginner tutorial and quite accessible to all and sundry but the result is very effective and charming with no sense of 'the beginner' about it. Many thanks!
Thank you so much Patrica for your lovely comment!
I thoroughly enjoy the way you describe what you are doing and how to do it a different way if you want. Love your videos thank you for giving me confidence to try things which I wouldn't have thought I could do.
Thank you so much Kathryn, so pleased these tutorials are giving the the confidence to try subjects you wouldn't have thought you could paint! Yay! 😊

Thank you, going to try this today. Lovely.
Have fun!
Brilliant snowy scene Karen how you've calmingly explained to inspire others to create a painting so interesting with details to take your eye all over the picture, enjoyable video as always Karen stay safe and healthy
Thank you so much Philip, really pleased you like the composition! Take care 😊
Thank you
You're welcome
Thank you for making such informative videos. Where I live there would not be foliage on the trees if there was enough snow to cover the ground. The trees would have bare branches.
Thanks Nancy, you could paint winter trees without foliage instead, to make it look more like where you live. Have fun 😊
👌😍
Thanks Pam
Love to know what the sheep are eating!
Lovely, Karen. What size is your Saunders block?
Thank you Francine, the block was 9 x 12 inches 😊
I really enjoyed watching but I think I missed the painting of the snowy field, I saw the grasses go in and sheep shadows. The snow is so different than the white of the paper
Thanks Julie... I painted the shadows about the 2 minute mark... This Saunders Waterford paper is quite creamy looking. You can get high white or use a whiter watercolour paper, so that there isn't such a contrast of colours between the white paint and paper 😊
Bhah Bhah black Sheep. Awesome painting Karen, but slow down in speaking you sound excited and fast. BTW, your voice is clear and lovely accent for a Canadian eh. Ken from Ottawa, Canada.
Cheers Ken in Ottawa 😊
Karen thank you so much for your channel . I love the creative way u paint with the kitchen sink! Could u tell me, is it possible to paint water color on a canvas? Is there a wat we color canvas? Have u ever used absorbent ground and does it react like paper?
Thanks so much Donna! I cannot resist using the kitchen sink!! Yes it is possible to paint on canvas. Check out this tutorial I created about using watercolour ground... which will allow you to paint on canvas: ruclips.net/video/TLB5hew9OCs/видео.html
Looks like entry of my home town only first you see is a lightup church top, how cliché, and the sheep suburbia in the dutch outback on german border did not change all that much. just no pleighwood piglet story on wolves blowing of the rooftop, then again, we do have the wolves, lol.
Oh wow! Sounds amazing! Wolves too!!! ☺
I love your work and just joined your Patreon site. Is there anyway that your downloadable sketches could be in a smaller size? Possibly a 5x7? Thank you!
Thank you so much Lucy... Once you download you can change the size from your device... just google your device name and change image size. When I download to my mac... I click on the download, then click on the menu above... click tools, then click image size... Hope this was helpful 😊
