Pretty solid placements! I figured Mad Jack would be the best of the standard bosses, though once K. Rool came up in second your reasons for him being lower made sense. The boss fights are overall fun, but given only one specific Kong can fight each boss(with a couple exceptions)I feel like Rare could’ve done more to tailor them to whichever Kong was taking them on- bring out their unique skills to get through the fight. Your suggestions on how to change Puftoss and the first Dogadon fight are spot-on in that regard, and of course as is Mad Jack’s fight exemplifies that- it makes good(arguably excessive)use of Tiny’s newest skill in such a way that no other Kong could’ve taken him on. Couple that with his design and music and it’s no wonder he’s so iconic.
Putting Pufftoss so high is probably a crime. It also utilises nothing about Lanky and is often lost on not even being able to find the star, let alone drive through it. Otherwise, decent list. I would also put Kutout first if the only criteria was charm.
For me mad jack is NOT EVEN CLOSE to the HARDEST TOUGHEST BOSS in the game! For me it's Dodagon 2 CHUNKY FOREST BOSS because you're GUARANTEED TO TAKE DAMAGE with the super FIRE WALL BLOW ATTACK if you don't know how to edgeguard with Chunky(to avoid it, simply walk down to the ledge & hang there till the fire wall blows past you)! Then the 2nd part of that fight, YOU MUST KILL THE TEETEEFLY IN TIME otherwise you'll be melted by magma!! That's about 4 rounds max! So if you can't kill him in 4 rounds, then you're dead! That's even harder than the final KO King Rool fight! So from HARDEST to EASIEST it's 1. Chunky TEETEE FLY 2--Self explanatory cuz that's INSTANT DEATH!! 2. KING ROOL(final battle) 3. Pufferfish(Galleon), I think it's hard because if you don't know how to control the galleon/boat well, then you'll get damaged mostly by the fireballs or shockwaves!! & also the DK rings get SMALLER & SMALLER after each electric current damage & the arena is DARK to see too. Plus this is a RACE AGAINST TIME just as Chunky's teetee fly battle except it's NOT INSTANT DEATH! 4. mad jack, the only trick is the ponytail twirl over & over again but not hard to damage the boss & there's no time limit to kill it unlike the teetee fly! 5. King Kut out aka(for me only) AHHHAHHH CH FEI DIAO!! His weird noises I still remember from my teenage years)))))) I even tried to imitate his voice like when he suddenly appears, he screams HUU HEHEHEH AH HER HER :) :DDDD It's funny as hell but still easy to kill! 6. Armadillo 2, still easy as fk! At 1st when I fought him, I thought, GREAT, I gotta hit him at least 6 times before he died! & possibly have at least 3 HOMING MISSILES aiming at DK during his turn to attack, but NO!!! The developer was too lazy & made him a pathetic easy piece of crap! 7. teetee fly 1 8. Armadillo 1
Best doesn’t always mean the hardest. Sometimes best can mean the most fun or satisfying to play. In my case, I would say yes, Mad Jack is very fun and satisfying to fight, while Dogadon 2 isn’t very fun and not quite as satisfying. Honestly, the hardest part about Mad Jack is trying to figure out the “trick” to attacking him. Once you’ve figured it out, you’ve pretty much got it; at that point, it’s just staying on your toes and watching out for his new tricks. Dogadon 2, as you mentioned, requires more than just knowing what to do; you’re on a time limit during the final phase of the fight. And though it may take a while to figure out the timing to dodge Dogadon’s fire wall, it absolutely is doable, as some have pointed out. The problem is that you may not figure out the timing before time’s up, but that’s trial and error for you. Wouldn’t be much of a challenge if you beat it on the first try, would it?

Hard disagree placing K.Rool second. That felt like the epic conclusion to the game. All Kongs using all their moves. Never felt like it took too long. However, I will admit your final choice is my second favorite. So we aren't that far apart.

Actually u can dodge the firewall just running toward the edge, the firewall disappears at some point without taking dmg
I just finished this game with the achievements. It's currently my favorite game too, simply fantastic and charismatic
