Sooo many questions! We are in the US and in late 50's. We toy with the idea of moving to another country in retirement, but we have three adult children with whom we are super close. Am wondering how you are finding friends and community in Madeira and how the language barrier affects daily living. I speak French but husband doesn't have a second language. Love the content!

Please can you tell us how you have managed to look after your cat during this long process. We have three house cats and they will be our biggest problem.
Hi Peter yes of course. We are very lucky because Leo is currently living with my daughter and son in law. They have fostered him until we get residency and then we will fly him over. We completed on our house at the beginning of January and wanted to stay in the UK until March for my daughter’s wedding. So we found an Air BnB that would take Leo for 2 months and we ended up in Shropshire. after the wedding we stayed in the newly weds home to settle him in whilst they were on honeymoon. There will always be a way it’s just finding it 💚
Hi guys, great video. Do you still have your UK bank account? As you don't have a UK address, or do you use a family members address. We're looking at Madeira as well, and we'll also be selling up and banks don't seem to like it if you don't have a UK address.

Hi Spencer sorry we missed your comment. Yes we do! If you already have a UK bank account then the advice is to leave it open using a family members address. I understand that Revolut and Monzo are good options to look at having too 😄
And the cat...goes to Madeira to? Or you "sold" him?😊
Oh yes Leo will be joining us in Madeira as soon as we are allowed to stay and don’t have to leave every 90 days. He is currently being loved and looked after by my daughter and her husband in England 💛
