@@oogie493 Yes that’s true, the longest intl flight from there is British airways, but BWI is a hub for Southwest, and there’s not Much intl flights therr
I live 10 minutes from IAD right on rt.28, and my neighborhood has multiple flight routes above us. Every 5 minutes, I see and hear planes approach for landing, and my son loves to watch the planes from the window. Lots of international flights. Love that you've captured it at the airport! We'll be there for a flight in October!
I was at Dulles around a month ago with family and got to spot there for the first time! It is a wonderful airport with all of the internationals and the Intl. terminal right in front of that parking garage!!
Must've been a really hot day, lots of heat haze/waves in the first 6 minutes of the video. Also in those first 6 minutes watching the United 777 take-off, I spotted in the background several foreign government aircraft...Japan 777, an A340, an IL-96 and South Korean B747-8.
21:20 i grew up flying the delta MD80s from DCA to MSP to see my grandparents every year and was always fascinated by that unique reverse thruster! Still love watching their last ancestors landing, even if they arent technically MD80s
I'm glad I can watch this from the comforts of my home and not have to deal with the hassles and misery of flying. Flying is a truly crappy experience. I feal your pain to those of you who have to fly.
99% of the people who watch this video, love flying, and planespotting: flying is a truly Privileged experience, and idk what airline you fly, but I can tell you flying any premium product on a long haul flight, is NOT a crappy experience.
I'm a frequent traveller to film airports for this channel, and I can understand your perspective but I think as WBTravels mentioned, being an avgeek you appreciate the moments when you're finally onboard.
It looks like he filmed this from the top of Parking Garage 2, since the cargo area is visible and the UPS MD-11F is frequently photobombing his footage.
Wow! Amazing Camera work. They should send that Turkish Airline 777-300 (min 9:00) Pilot back to Flight School, or they gonna have to buy new set of tires and re-torque every bolt on the plane after every landing. Alitalia, Iberia and Wamos landings were as bad, if not worse. :)

All those Russian planes parked between 01C and L are interesting Edit: looking a little closer I think just the one IL-96 (?) The RAF A330 and what looks like Code One from ROK are super interesting too. Trying to think what would bring all those folks to the same place lol
Sorry for the late reply here. This was from the UN Conference in 2023 - I know this is from awhile ago but I travel to so many airports that I also upload that time flies so quickly!
Finally, someone who plane spots at my home international airport. IAD is my closest international airport, while BWI is my closest Domestic airport.
BWI is an international airport

I will be returning next year to IAD to publish more of it along with a lot more other American airports

What parking garage are you filming from?

I work and plane spot at IAD. So this is nice.
What do you do at IAD? I want to return next year so I’m hoping there’s some variation to the normal traffic since I last visited
Incredible footage!!
Thanks a lot!
my home airport!! great vid 👍
Cool, thanks!
Hey! Great video! Where did you film this from? IAD is my home airport so I might go and see some jets myself 😃
Thanks mate. This was filmed last year, I covered a lot of airports in the U.S so it takes time to get onto the channel!
Great footage, Shaun! Thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it!

A couple of viewers below have asked you about the location you planespot from at Dulles. I have the same question - reply please?
looks like they could be on the side parking garage
Sorry I took some time to reply! Yes, it is from the Parking Garage.
Where is this taken from at IAD?
Where is this? It's almost impossible to find a good spot to plane spot at Dulles that is not the Museum.
I replied to a comment on the video about the location of the spot :)
wow
Was this filmed during the British PM’s visit?

I would say the NATO summit but I have no idea why the Russians would be there.
@@mlichstein1 maybe the fotage ist older than 2022?
Nah, Play Air didn't start flying to IAD until April of 23. This is most likely from the 2024 NATO summit in July
