This is a simple start to finish guide on how to edit your videos in iMovie, keeping them professional and cinematic! If you enjoyed, I would appreciate if you could leave a like! 🔥
GREAT tips. HOWEVER, I need to dissolve from broll (over my main video of a person on camera) to my main video (person on camera). NOT dissolve in.. just to DISSOLVE out of the broll to the main vid. I'm sure it's easy.. but I can't find an example anywhere...🙈
Would like to see the finished video from start to end. It would solidify how the effects enhance a video. Great instruction. Would just like to see it all put together.
Holyyyyyy !!! OMG !!!! this is what im looking for, So on points !!! THANK YOU SO MUCH !!! your video so clear about the information, so details and easy for understanding. LOVEEEEEE ITTTTTT !!! You are the best !!!! Your video save me so much time !!! Salut to youuuu
Hey Mike, Thanks for creating an easy to follow guide. I just have one suggestion, when you are speaking the Key commands necessary to create these affects you really should have it in print somewhere on the screen as well. Your accent does make it necessary to listen very intently a few times to get what you are saying. I am very much a visional learner and having those commands in writing makes the whole process take less than 1/2 the time. I'm 63 and don't catch on like these younger guys that were born with a Keyboard in there hands. Thanks again. Russell Carmona
Hi Russell, Thanks for your feedback buddy, I will do this going forward. Funny you have trouble with the accent, the Liverpudlian dialect is a bit different if you've not had much dealings with it! haha All the best mate
I completely forgot to add it. Apologies. I no longer have it. Hopefully you can sort of see what it looked like during the video, I know it isn't ideal.
Thanks, sorry if I seemed kind of harsh. I watched the video all the way through. It was good. I just think it would add a lot to the whole tutorial experience. So yeah, thanks!
I appreciate your comment, but I titled this video 'Editing a B Roll sequence' and not 'Editing B Roll alongside A Roll footage'. I went into depth on how I would edit a B Roll sequence in iMovie literally from start to finish. I am not sure what is misleading about this.

I’m editing one of my videos for RUclips with iMovie, and I would like to know how to drag one of my clips to use it as a brill. Thank you

Brilliant this! Speed ramping is something I’ve been really wanting to do but didn’t know it was possible in iMovie!
Nicely done. I learned a lot, speed-ramping is key for me
Great video! More please!!!

So helpful thank you !!

cheers for your comment, glad you enjoyed it. I have fully noted showing the full sequence for next time, merely an oversight on this occasion!

Indeed you can Tracie :)
thank you!! do you have videos where you line up the video in the break in the beats to line up the video and the music.
Hi there, my apologies but im slightly unsure as to what you mean? Do you mean how you sync up your cuts to the beat of the music track? Cheers
🔥🔥🔥🔥
All good but I would’ve liked the view the end result of the actual Edit; even if it’s only a few seconds @ the end.

Where can we find the final product video? Would love to see it as an example

While exporting in resolution if our video is shot in 4k can we get a 4k exporting option?

would have been good to see the end result...
did you record it in 60fps?
I believe it would have been 100fps. Could be wrong on that as it was a while ago. 50fps minimum though.
He didn't play the video at the end?
Will do this next time, apologies pal!
Thanks, sorry if I seemed kind of harsh. I watched the video all the way through. It was good. I just think it would add a lot to the whole tutorial experience. So yeah, thanks!
Not harsh at all pal! appreciate the feedback! :)
cool
Good tips, but there wasn’t anything in the video actually about using B-Roll with the main video portion. Video title is misleading.
