In Finland this model came with a long crevice tool and also a wide floor nozzle included. That plastic short crevice tool was with pink 822 Connie. Very lovely sounding machine, my grand mother had grey 862 from 1963 and it's sounded excactly the same with low "boom sound" effect😅
Brings back memories but I believe the upright s are better with the beater bar brush on carpet s. Also the converter piece that you showed goes into the back of the Hoover upright s the converter piece for the hose . The above floor cleaning attachments..my moms vacuum had the same piece. I would love to use these vintage vacuum cleaner s
I would almost suggest that if you replaced the flat filter with a portion of a Henry bag, you’d have some very good filtration on your Constellations! Obviously your still have a normal paper bag, but you’d gain a lot doing so.
Beautiful looking and sounding Constellation, Roger. The longer hose is a plus as well, especially when reaching ceilings for lamps and ceiling fans. I don't know how popular ceiling fans are in the UK, Ireland and Europe but that would be helpful if they and you have them. It may only have 50 inches of water lift, but it probably moves more air. I've always liked the cross-compatibility of tools on Hoovers and the wands to me make more sense for the air flow than others. Hoover and Filter Queen. Would I buy any of those vacuums today? Probably not as I have four brands and six machines to choose from for now (Kirby x2, Rainbow x2, Beam and Ridgid [a company that is known for tools, power tools and wet and dry vacuums in North America that are often seen in Home Depot, a store known primarily for its hardware and DIY]). I guess if you wanted to, you could have this machine do near-HEPA with fleece bags and another one cut into a disk shape for the pre-motor.
Hi Ibaisaic I have watched some of the video and I can see that the views on your channel increase rapidly. I did comment on one of your videos before on my account called Ollygager on your Hoover Jazz video and I said how much I like the firework display 😂😂😂. I have a hoover vacuum called a Hoover Whirlwind anyway good video from Olly (RUclips channel The Hilarious Olly's Life).
I have a question. I have hard floors in my home and really want a good quality hover I can use to clean my home effectively! I'm incredibly allergic to dust, and my current hoover has weak suction 😢 Thank you in advance
I don’t use one particular model. In the last two weeks I have been using a couple of Roombas, a Miele Duoflex, Miele CX1, Hoover Starlight and a Henry Cordless.
It stops the cleaner from causing interference with analogue TV and radio signals. You may remember that back in the day, the vacuum cleaner could cause the picture to break up when used near an old CRT television.
I think the sticker said Picture rails . I think the early pink constellation came with the pink Hoover 2 pin plug by 1962 that was the end of the 2 pin
Brought back many memories, my parents had this model back in the early 60's.
I managed to see this before 3 hours had passed, love your videos Rodger!

Picture rails...that's what the label on the dusting brush said.
It’s adorable

I think that is a fair price considering it’s lovely condition Roger…

Ceiling fans are not common in the UK as we seldom get weather hot enough to use them.
What do you think is the best vintage hoover vacuum cleaner?
Very cool what motor is it?
Model 862 in rose pink and white was the third version of the constellation and went on sale in 1959.

@@ibaisaic ok thanks
When was the Pink Hoover Constellation was made in, Roger?
Hi Rog. What does the suppressor do? Thanks as always.

@@ibaisaic Thanks Rog. Do you sometimes remove them because it’s old tec now?
@@DisneyMarkUKNot really needed anymore is what I've come to understand - also, they can blow- cause a lot of noise and a very bad smell!
