- Instrumental version of Jisas Yu Holem Hand Blong Mi from The Thin Red Line. As far as I know, this version has not been released officially.
It is included in the 2001 promotional album, Klaus Badelt - Music For Film.
I grew up singing this in the islands where the song originates (Solomon Islands). Thanks Hans Zimmer for the harmonious touches on a very simple song.

@@ThomasSimpsonOfficial they filmed primarily in the Daintree rain forest in Queensland Australia, what followed was a 4 week film shoot on the Island of Gaudalcanal at a place called Visale which is located west of the capital Honiara.
Thank god, I've wanted to hear this as a standalone track for years

in 2011 i wrote a very difficult law exam which took six days. every morning before the exam i listenend to this theme in the tram and i was thinking about this most inspiring movie. i have never have felt so close to nature.- i was so much in myself and so calm.

this goes to show that Hans Zimmer is a genious of equal proportions to Terrence Malic; they complemented each other perfectly in this movie. This is in my opinion the best score ever written to a movie
I truly believe that Pvt Witt's character is a portrayal of what a man looks like when he has the love of God in his heart.

Best thing about The Thin Red Line is that there's many characters to relate to and many ways to look at the movie.
I've watched this movie beginning to end so many times I've lost count. But I mostly relate to Private Witt at 0:27 and when I watch the movie I somehow see the beauty behind the war. Something unexplainable.
I think I know what you mean.
I'm not necessarily against that they fought in the war, I can see that it was pointless that so many lives were wasted, But I can also see that they felt they had no choice and I would probably do the same.
Some how we always maneuver ourselves into these situations where there isn't any way out, We get pulled into something where there is no good choice to make and no matter what we do something terrible will result.
Its awful and it makes me sick, But there's still a lot of humanity in it and I think this film captured it really well.

wonderful. and this is the best war movie i've seen so far. It really thinks about war and the people involved in it.
Nice song indeed. in times of stress as preparing for exams, this song would help enlighten and reflecting us again that the only way is through God our heavenlyfather. And as well a famous song in Solomon Islands we us to sung during our Sunday School sessions. love it. :)
