Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the video! Very helpful
No problem. Thanks for watching!
was wondering why you're working on the dryer? I bought a new one last year 2022, it came with 7-year parts and labor warranty. My heating element went out last week, the warranty is being honored but it's taken two weeks to get a repairman scheduled and another week waiting on the part. After watching your video, I should have just done the work myself. Thanks for the video, I've made and posted a few and I know how much effort it takes to make and post a video.
When I did this, it was about 5 or 6 yrs old. Didn’t even check warranty as it was a quick, low cost repair. I’ll fix most things just to be efficient instead of waiting for service and then you have to trust what the service persons says is wrong…
Good video half of it wish I could have seen how you took it all apart from the beginning not start with everything out already.
It comes apart the same way it goes together, just in reverse order…😉
Well explained
Thanks!
Helpful information thanks. An unrelated question- I see you only have 16 subscribers, how were you able to get ads to your channel? Usually you need 1000 subs get ads.
I can’t run ads yet but I use some music in the RUclips creator studio which allows the owners of the music to run ads on vids...what’s weird is I don’t think this particular video used any of that music🤷🏼♂️
Thank for that sharing sir.
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the vid. What were the two tabs that you replaced and why? Would you happen to have the part number? Thanks
They are wear strips that keep the metal of the drum from rubbing the metal of the cabinet. Here's a link to what I ordered. www.amazon.com/Sikawai-37001298-Dryer-Replacement-Whirlpool/dp/B08N46F76S/ref=dp_prsubs_1?pd_rd_i=B08N46F76S&psc=1
My element had 3 prongs, A, B and a common terminal, i cannot find one anywhere only 2 prong elements this obviously leaves my thermal fuse open at one end what do i do how do i modify the wiring harness to accapt a 2 prong element since this is the only 3 prong in existence
I get why you repaired the element. But i didn’t take my unit apart like that.
How about the thermostat next to the blower It is a thermostat in the front next to the blower you didn't test it if it's working or not working does it have an effect
Thanks for commenting! The first thing I tested was the heating element. I didn't test the tstat as the heating element tested bad. I replaced it and all good. If the element had tested good, I would have moved on to testing something else, like the tstat.
I need to know how to get to all that! Why start the video with everything already taken apart?????
You take it apart in reverse of how I put it back together…
@@GROVELAND u started the video with everything taken apart...haha but no worries I got it figured
After just two years, the heater element burn out because of defective thermo-breakers. This is my 3rd Speedqueen less than 3 yrs old that failed. The warranty repair demanded duct cleaning before they will repair it. My duct is 6 ft long and can be open easily. I is perfectly clean. But this speed queen contracted repair shop won't work on it.. IT became a costly repair due to Speed Queen's use o a
shabby repair shop. Need to re-think Speed Queen's use of cheap parts for a "high quality" company. Maybe no more.
Sorry to hear about your troubles. I run speed queen washers and dryers at me work (healthcare) and with their proven low-maintenance, I bought them for home. We’ve run speed queens at work for 6+ yrs non stop, during 2 shifts, 7 days a week with no issues other than normal wear part replacement. This is the only work I’ve had to do on either the washer or dryer at home. We’ve had these for about 5 years now.
