    With a door car you got to figure out how to mount it with out a cable I got the set up on the way. Kevin said it has a threaded end that I can hook directly to my throttle rod maybe the selinoid can mount to the air pan or something ..I will figure it out when It arrives..I'm excited to stage on the floorboard !! Thanks for all the cool info

    I have one with the on board air compressor. K&R is high quality. Love having it. You explained it as good as it can be explained. 👍

    My son, 22, has been gifted a dragster and I'm helping him get is set up for the 2023 season. I'd love to pick your brain about starting line enhancers and the electronics that came with the car. We are complete newbies but have an Uncle in the sport but he doesn't use this kind of electronics.

    Thanks for sharing your set up,I have the z force box from k&r I bought some time ago question is do I need a dual control stage cylinder I want to run some 6.0 and 7.0 heads up. Need to know how to set timers to get the desired ET ,Thanks for sharing your knowledge 🤔

    I think a wacker on starting line which uses the carburetor pump shot was better than just two step, with brake of course!

    I understand all the benefits of these and its a great tool, but I feel it just takes another thing away from the driver. Making it less of the driver having to be consistent. Just my opinion though. Great explanation Tom.

      I hear ya - but you could say the same thing about delay boxes and transbrakes really.. I suppose that’s why they have separate classes for electronics and no-box and footbrake!! 👍👍

    • @ronaldlewis8620
      @ronaldlewis8620 2 года назад

      I prefer foot brake but nobody or not enough guys run it to get the pay out up ,so I'm going to reinstall my K&R box but I think I need the dual stage controller 🤔, if you're going to race you got to get the best cheating devices you can get✅

    Tom, what are your K & R timer settings? How do you set what time the throttle goes to wide open?

    • @GallStarTV
      @GallStarTV  3 года назад +4

      Hey RS - the timer is automatic: if you’re the slower car, the box tells the enhancer to go full throttle right away when you release the transbrake button. If you’re the faster car, the box calculates the crossover time and waits that long before telling the enhancer to go to full throttle. I hope that makes sense!! 👍👍

      @RS-rg8qe 3 года назад

      @@GallStarTV Thanks Tom. Another question ... what kind of neck restraint system do you use? Neck collar? Are the Hans type devices restrictive when trying to look straight across at your opponent on the big end. Wondering what other dragster folks use (simpson, hans, ...)?

    So, what triggers full throttle? How is that timing controlled?

    • @GallStarTV
      @GallStarTV  3 года назад +1

      The pro-cube delay box controls it. If you’re the slower car it triggers right after you release the transbrake button. If you’re the slower car it doesn’t trigger until the crossover time has elapsed. This results in it being triggered at the exact same amount of time before the transbrake releases every time. 👍👍

    I have everything you showed in your video ,but I’m having a issue with the enhancer not releasing to wide open throttle from time to time. It always activates but there’s no telling if it’s going to work and it’s left me hesitant to trust it. I would appreciate any suggestions you could make . I have double and triple checked my wiring and found nothing wrong. It tends to happen in my dragster when I’m crossing over against another dragster that’s just a little bit slower then me. If I race a door car that 2-3 second slower it will work just fine. And when I say not releasing I mean the transbrake releases but I’m still at idle. I have the feeling I’m doing something wrong to cause this? 🤷‍♂️ Any advice would be much appreciated. 2018 American dragster-K&R everything, compressor, delay box and enhancer , switch and relay board. Thank you for making the video on this subject there’s not a lot of info out there I have looked.

      David, are you putting any pneumatic oil in your air lines that feed your solenoid and your throttle cylinder? I do this every 30 to 40 passes to keep the solenoid from sticking and the throttle sliding easily. It only takes 4 to 5 drops at each place to keep things working properly!

    • @GallStarTV
      @GallStarTV  3 года назад +2

      Hmmm.. sounds weird and with only a half a season under my belt with my enhancer I don’t know if I’ll be much help.
      Can you make the problem repeat back in the pits? If so, do you believe it is an electronic problem or a mechanical problem? Is there something binding in the throttle cable? Possibly low air or C02 pressure when the problem happens??
