Tremaine Hawkins is by far my favorite gospel singer. I started following her the night I saw the Edwin Hawkins Singers and the family with the Oakland Symphony, so you know that's been a loong time! I have enjoyed her voice through the years. It is distressing to know that her daughter-in-law passed leaving six children who will grow up without their mother's love and support. My condolences to the Hawkins family. RIP Sunny.

Wow! How heart broken I am to hear of her passing. I started a radio station and added her music to my radio station, because her voice was so beautiful, neo-soul. Didn't even know she was a part of this family. RIP and prayers to the family and those suffering from this loss.
Lady Tramaine Richardson still beautiful as she was back then. Let's respect that she has remarried. Yes, we ALL know her as Tramaine Hawkins but she is remarried and The late Bishop Walter Hawkins I'm sure he respected her new marriage. They still remained good friends because they do have children together and known each other for a long time.

The title seems incorrect. Why not a title such as, Gospel singer Tremaine Hawkins sings at the funeral of her daughter-in-law, Sunny Hawkins. Tremaine and Walter Hawkins divorced in 1994. Walter Hawkins passed away in 2010. They were not married when Walter passed, and she has a husband.
Is this the funeral for her daughter? Or grand daughter? Okay its her daughter in-law

Lady Tramaine Hawkins met Walter when Edwin started going to her grandfather's church. She was Tramaine Davis when she recorded her first song with André Crouch in Southern CA. She married Walter in Bay Area after about three years on the Edwin Hawkins choir being the youngest member(Bay Area Community Choir, which released Oh Happy Day). Two kids born from this union. They divorced after the kids were grown and after time were able to become friends and business associates working for the kingdom. Lady Tramaine Davis Hawkins Richardson has been remarried for over 25 years. Bishop Walter Hawkins never remarried.
