- 28 B.C; It's the middle of summer on a busy day in Neapolis. The sun is high in the sky, as the people of Rome go about their daily business by the sea. A light breeze mixes with the scents of foreign spices by the harbour markets. A siren's song is heard not far away.

Nice touch with the butterflies
Sublime...for me it evokes an even more fantastic Rome.
Some people talk about past lives when hearing music or hear stuff like this, idk maybe im being to literal right now, but I felt a wave of emotion flow through me out of nowhere hearing the sweet soft song in the beginning.
Personally, I believe it's possible. We all have certain feelings, interests or appreciations of time periods long gone, without really knowing why. All I can say is, listen to the music, close your eyes, and follow your feeling. Maybe something will reveal itself to you.
Nice video! The melody the singer is singing so gorgeously is ‘El cant dels ocells’, a beautiful Catalan song :)
Thank you! :) I was wondering for a while what exact language this was, as it didn't mention it in the original audio file.
Love El Cant Dels Ocells! Reminds of my first trip to Barcelona 🥰. Where did you get this version @Roselight Moon x
@@daisydarling3054 it's really a wonderful melody! It was tagged on AmbientMixer as "Beautiful Siren" by Natalia. Unfortunately it doesn't give me much more info than that since it was released under CC license. x
I really admire Greco-Roman culture
Fun fact Neapolis in Greek literally means the new city
That's because until the Lombard invasion, it was a Greek city/colony.
I'd love to see a Byzantine themed ambience some time, these are all really good
LOVE this video so much! All your Roman themed videos are just enchanting, utterly enchanting! Please keep up your good work. X
Do more roman and ancient greek please
I love your greek and roman ambiences. I subbed :)
Thank you so much Lin!! Really appreciate it, hope we can upload some more for you, real soon. :)
Beautiful
Love it :)
Takes you back in time when things were simplistic
6:18 I hear slavic words (Ukrainian or other), she sings "Свята Марія" (Holy Maria, Sancta Maria) or something like that
That's amazing. I actually wasn't sure what language the audio file was in, but the tune was fitting, nice to know what it was.
Italians use Santa Maria as well, it doesn't necessarily mean they are Slavic words
@@alexmusko9391 "Sancta Maria" is translation, she sign "Свята Марія"(Svyata Maria), without any sound like "n" or "c".
Where do you get the inspirations for all these ambience videos, I don't know, but as an avid reader and lover of History, I appreciate it.
Thank you so much :) I honestly sometimes don't even know how I come up with some of these themes lol
Neapolis is the name of many cities...
