    The backing track, the narrator all so perfectly sync together, it's so good and soothing to the ear. Plain, yet simple, this video is perfect. It's also very informative. I am sharing it.. To know the Bible verses turn on caption.

    A beautiful truth presented in such a simple and humble way. The Maori and other indigenous people relate closely to the land. This video captured that well, and also showed how that peace and contentment comes from knowing Gods truth. Thank you to all involved in producing this film. To God be the glory

    I missed the scripture reference that shows the wicked will cease to exist after they are cast into the fire. We are all going to be resurrected, as stated in the film, including the wicked. Once we are resurrected, there can be no more death, so how do they cease to exist? That would imply a death, does it not?

      Rev 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in *the first resurrection* : on such *the second death* hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
      If inspiration declares that there is a 'first' resurrection, there is another besides. This same passage indicates that there is a 'second death'. We all die the first time, and those that are raised in the 'first resurrection', the second death *will not* have power over according to the above verse. However the wicked who fail to rise in that first resurrection (which occurs at the 2nd coming), the second death *will* have power over. They will be raised 1000 years later to be judged.
      Notice that the the second death is carried out by casting the wicked into the lake of fire:
      Rev 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. *This is the second death.*

    This aligns with my theology, but one thing I often get asked, that I feel like I don't have a great answer to was what happened on the mount during the transfiguration?
    Were Elijah and Moses resurrected at this point, or was it something else? I would be curious on your thoughts.

    • @earthenvesselsministry

      Elijah was taken to heaven in a fiery chariot. He was translated to glory without seeing death:
      *2Ki **2:11** And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.*
      Moses was resurrected in a glorified body after dying. The devil challenged Jesus when He came down to resurrect Moses, claiming that because Moses had sinned in striking the rock that he should remain in the grave. But he was rebuked and Moses was resurrected:
      *Jud 1:9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.*
      So to answer your question, both Moses and Elijah had previously been resurrected. They are now in heaven as among the four and twenty elders or among the four living creatures. Such are the only resurrected, glorified human beings. Besides Enoch, we do not know who the rest are. When Christ was resurrected, many of the saints are said to have arisen. These must be those four and twenty elders.
      Mat 27:50 Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.
      Mat 27:51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;
      Mat 27:52 And the graves were opened; and *many bodies of the saints which slept arose,*
      Mat 27:53 *And came out of the graves after his resurrection,* and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.
      The proof that the four living creatures (aka four beasts) and the 24 elders are human beings is in the fact that they were 'redeemed' by Christ's blood. Angels or unfilled beings do not need to be redeemed.
      Rev 5:8 And when he had taken the book, the *four beasts and four and twenty elders* fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.
      Rev 5:9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and *hast redeemed us to God by thy blood* out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;
      Rev 5:10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

      @@earthenvesselsministry Thank you for the detailed response.
      The only thing I might slightly disagree with is Elijah. Currently I am of the thought that he was taken up into the sky and moved elsewhere on earth being that he sent a letter approximately 10 years after the chariot of fire ride.
      “And a letter came to him from Elijah the prophet, saying, Thus says the Lord God of your father David: Because you have not walked in the ways of Jehoshaphat your father, or in the ways of Asa king of Judah…” - 2 Chronicles 21:12

      @@socketman If what the man in the video said is true why then is not only Moses but Elias (The greek name for Elijah) seen talking to Jesus at the transfiguration?
      Mat 17:2 And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.
      Mat 17:3 And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and *Elias* talking with him.
      Mat 17:4 Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for *Elias* .
      His point about the letter written from Elijah that he said was 10 years later is interesting, but not stronger than the fact that Jesus spoke with Elijah at the transfiguration. Also, his reasoning regarding Elijah simply flying into the sky is not convincing in my opinion. That is not how it was meant to be understood.
      His expounding on this verse is also flawed in my opinion:
      Joh 3:13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.
      Enoch was also taken to heaven, and so were Elijah and Moses. What Jesus meant is that no man has authority to speak on heavenly things except Himself becasue He was in heaven and is now come down, Jesus said before this:
      Joh 3:11 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.
      Joh 3:12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, *how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?*

    I have a quick question, are you inferring that hell isn’t forever? I used to believe that people who weren’t saved would spend eternity in hell but I am confused now

    • @earthenvesselsministry
      @earthenvesselsministry  Год назад +2

      Yes brother, the Bible does not teach that hell is forever. There is punishment for the wicked but it is of limited duration. It will be 'according to his works' (Mat 16:27) in the lake of fire. But eventually they will be 'as though they had not been' (Obadiah 1:16). Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
    Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
    Mark 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
    1 Peter 3:20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.
    21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:
    1 Corinthians 10:1 Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;
    2 And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;🙂🙏🙌

    not scripture, but many personal testimonies of (near-)death experiencers imply an expanded notion of life, and yes, an immortal soul. very typically, when after these deeply moving experiences the subjects approach preachers/pastors, they find no solace (but usually the opposite); they end up seeing religion and scripture differently though.
    the apparently contradictory biblical notion of 'everlasting life' seems to allow for this, however, and makes other verses emphasizing dust and flesh very materialist in comparison. the breath of life *is* the immortality, is it not? why the morbid fascination with death?... "do you not know that your bodies are temples of the holy spirit, who is *in you*?" 🤷‍♂

    • @katherineb9815
      @katherineb9815 Год назад +2

      In Genesis 2:7, dust of the ground + the breath of life = a soul, or "a living being" in some translations. Other creatures in Genesis are also called "souls", such as fish, birds, and animals. In most instances, the translators have not translated the word as soul, but that is the word used in the original languages. Do these creatures have immortality since they also received the breath of life? Of course not. The Bible says in multiple places that there is no awareness in death and that rewards/judgment are given at the resurrection, not at the moment of death. No religion in antiquity believed in immortality of the soul AND resurrection. It's one or the other. There would be no point in a resurrection if the soul is immortal.
